I am a long time customer of Enterprise and I was very, very disappointed with my recent car rental at Island Park, I was given a car that had a terrible cigarette odor, i went back to exchange less than 24 hrs to be given another car worse with a cigarette odor. I patiently waited over 45 minutes to see if another vehicle would arrive for me to take comparable to what I had. In fact, one did arrive but was told it was dirty and filled with dog hair!! Disgusting!!! One of the Enterprise representatives was very unprofessional!! I do not recommend Island Park Enterprise! Run, Run away!! I definitely would like to discuss my experience with a regional manager!!! read more

I never thought I would be writing a bad review about any Enterprise Car Rental. I have used Enterprise for many reasons, business , leisure and when one of my vehicles was not available because of repair. So here is my timeline with this horrible experience. Sunday evening January 11, 2026- I start experiencing mechanic problems with my jeep. Monday January 12, 2026- I have my vehicle brought to the Jeep dealer in Inwood. I make a reservation for a 2:30 PM pickup at Enterprise in Island Park. I arrive on time and quickly greeted by an employee. Signed necessary paperwork and Amex was charged proper fee and proper hold amount. While still in the lobby I ask the asst manager if I can return my vehicle the Inwood location. He informs me that it would have to be booked that way and it's usually only done when an Insurance company is paying. I then ask could he check for me how much extra the charge would be. He says the only way to find that out would be to cancel and rebook with a different drop off from the pick up location. At this point I go to the Enterprise app and enter my info same as prior except put Inwood as the drop off. I hit enter and I now have a new reservation that has pickup Island Park and Inwood as a drop off. I show them the confirmed reservation. I am then told that they have no more cars available. I asked them the reason they couldn't help me work this out. Once again im told we have no more cars and when I asked the question the reason they will not honor my reservation I asked is it because you don't want to lose a vehicle? I am then told we are choosing not to rent a vehicle to you. No reason except they have chose to not rent and they will not honor any reservation that I have. No explanation. Now remember I have the new reservation in my hand. Im then told I should find out maybe RVC or Inwood has cars. I asked if they could call and the answer was no you have to call. Five minutes later Im told they are paying for a UBER to go to another location. I again ask does Inwood have available cars, reply was I do not know you will have to call them. So they want to put me in a UBER and send me to a location that might not have a vehicle. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Confirmed reservation that they decided they will not honor any reservation and that is our choice. So when it's all said and done after over two hours Inwood puts me in my vehicle. I miss a important meeting and this is on my Amex 1- $300.00 2- $209.67 3- $589.50 *** They also accused me of recording them*** **** reality is you don't put a customer in a Uber at Enterprise expense if you think that customer is a problem***** This is a matter that needs to be addressed and If I don't receive a response in 24 hours. I confirmed a rental online, a luxury vehicle. The site confirmed ability. I drove 35 minutes to get there, and the manager was dealing with someone else. I mentioned that I didn't see a luxury car, but he said he'll take care of it. 15 minutes later, he apologized, but he had only one car available and it would be "arriving shortly." It wasn't Nearly the class I had rented, and I highly doubted it would be arriving shortly. I left. Time to only use go rentals. Just to be fair, it was certainly not. The manager's fault. He was working very hard and I felt bad for him. It's just a very poorly designed company. read more

This review is for the outstanding Enterprise team located at 4205 Austin Boulevard in Island Park NY 11558. The team I met were Lauren, Jeffry and Themi. My rental started with a call to Lauren and her adaptability and flexibility to handle a somewhat unique request. Lauren took our information over a conference call with me, and my son Michael. Michael has an insurance coverage claim but is flying home late tonight. Lauren was creative in her solution and at 5:30pm tonight as Lauren suggested i arrived at the Enterprise office and was professionally greeted by Lauren, Jeffry and Themi. 0 Stars If I Could! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, Do Not Come Here!! Ty and Mariam were very rude towards me and my father when we came in there today. Enterprise in Island Park, NY is absolutely horrible. The manager by the name of Mariam is very rude and disrespectful. The employee Ty was also rude, no positive or good customer service skills in any way. They didn't have any cars and when I was told I could get a ride to another Enterprise office by a different employee Ty and Mariam rudely said that they would not be getting me a ride and that was that. read more

Miriam has no business working in customer service . I was late to pick up my car. I apologized for being a little late and was told "a little late?? Try A LOT late". She walked outside to find a car without further communication. I mentioned to my husband that she was quite rude. Another employee texted her that I said she was rude. She came in and said " did you say I was rude behind my back". I explained I thought she was rude to us. She began to say she could refuse us service for calling her rude behind her back. And an argument began. It was the most caddy and immature experience I have had in a customer service position. She decided to give us a car. During the exchange she stated if we do not pick up the car within 30 minutes of our scheduled time they give the car away and do not honor the reservation. I asked where this was stated and she said on the website. Upon returning the car, another patron asked if she could rent the car I drove. She was told it is not rentable because it needed an oil change. I had the car for 48 hours so I can only assume I was given an "unrentable" car. I will use another rental company in the future. My dealings with Neil here of previous reservations have been wonderful. When I was late previously he called to confirm I was still coming and was very nice. Unfortunately, the interactions with Miriam were so bad, I will not be back. read more

The service when choosing and picking up my car was excellent (that's the reason for the three stars). What prevents this office from receiving a full five star review is their conduct and inability to help when there was a mistake upon the return of my rental car. When I returned my car, I accidentally left my EZ Pass tag attached to the front windshield. This is my error and I should have been more careful when emptying out the car before returning it. I figured it shouldn't be an issue, since each car is cleaned and cleared out before being rented to another driver. Surely someone there would notice that an EZ Pass was left in the car. I realized that I left the tag in the car two days after returning it. When I called the office to see where the tag is and when I could pick it up, the representative told me that "it happens all the time" and that they don't know where the tag is. She recommended that I should cancel the tag and order a new one. That's it? I asked whether or not they clean out the rental car once it is returned. They do, I was assured, but the EZ Pass "Is such a little thing that it's easy to miss." I was flummoxed. This happens all the time, but they still don't see the tags when cleaning out the car? I suggested that they call the car's current renter to ask if the EZ Pass is still connected. She agreed, but I never received a return call. After calling to follow up, the man I spoke to said he would call the current renter again and ask about the tag. He called me back later in the day to say that he could not get in touch with the current renter and again advised me to order a new tag. I fully understand that it was my responsibility to take my EZ Pass when returning the car, but I assumed that any car rental company would do a thorough sweep of any returned car to make sure that they don't send it back out with any other driver's property. I am still surprised that their response wasn't "We will check and find out," but rather: "You should cancel and get a new one." read more

Best car rental place in the business. I rent weekly for business and Miriam, Ty, and Sarah have become like colleagues!! Simply the best rental experience ever. Don't listen to the other reviews; most people are just upset their crummy insurance policy for their Kia won't cover an Audi. My collision place had my rental set up and reserved. When to enterprise for me to get my rental. The lady at the front desk said she had no rentals in my reservation that she can give me a caravan or a huge truck. She made my car rental experience more difficult then it can be. I told her that is not what I reserve and that is what I do not want. She was not helpful at all and lead me to be believe she was not knowledgable. I had no choice but to go to another Enterprise near by in which I will be giving that location and service a 5 star rating! read more

This enterprise location is using has been using the residitial streets behind it to park their overflow of cars since hurricane sandy in 2012. They are taking up parking in front our homes and leaving cars unmoved for weeks. When I confronted Caroline, the manager in the location I was told that she does not see an ethical problem with this, she does not live in the area, does not own a car herself and does not care. read more
