Enterprise in Jackson is awesome! I walked in their doors unannounced due to a last-minute crisis (competitor rental agencies at airport unable to fulfill my reservation). Gavin and his wonderful team jumped into action and provided excellent customer service. They were knowledgeable, professional and efficient. From stepping to the counter to getting me out the door and on the road was less than 10 minutes. Macie was so helpful walking the car and explaining the contract. I'll definitely be forgoing rentals at other local establishments and using this Enterprise. Vehicle was very clean, well maintained and had a full tank of gas. When I returned my rental Gavin saw me drive in the parking lot and met me at my vehicle to complete the check in unless than 2 minutes. My daughter rented car via insurance for accident repair on her car. When dropping it off, they told her she damaged the roof. She said nothing happend to the roof and it was her word against theirs. They sent her a bill for $1600 and it seemed like a total scam. She had no recourse, but to turn the claim into her insurance or pay out of pocket. These people LIED to me last Friday morning (1-26-24) that they would pick up my rental from College Chevy in Albion, by close of business that day. I offered to pick up one of their lackeys and drive them to Albion so they could immediately return the rental. I also offered to let someone ride over with me from my house so they could return the rental immediately. I was told, "don't worry about, leave the car there, and we will have someone retrieve before the end of the day, we do it all the time. They did not. I left their rental car in the Handi-Capped spot, nose to the building, last Friday, January 26th, 2024, at about 9-9:30 A.M. I picked up my car from the dealership, and left their shitty little rental parked nose to the building, in the Handi-Capped space. In the same condition I picked it up in. Wednesday afternoon, January 31, I get a call from these "people" claiming there is thousands of dollars worth of damage to the front end of their rental. Thursday morning, February 1st, I called College Chevy and spoke to the body shop manager who told me that they (enterprise) picked up my rental on Wednesday, February 1st, NOT last Friday, as PROMISED! She also said she noted body damage to the car. From her experience she said it appeared that a truck wqas backed into the shitty little rental, and the truck driver just left, thereby shirking any responsibility, which is EXACTLY what the RENT-A-WRECK lackeys are doing, including the manager. When I asked for his bosses name he told me his boss already knows. I raised the spectre of making a corporate complaint, to which the smug bastard replied, "those complaints will come to my office and I make the decision." Can't remember his name, but he definitely thinks he's still 19 and bulletproof. I am a veteran in chronic pain scraping by on SSDI, and they are trying extort $500 from me for an insurance deductable because they lied and now they have a damaged car. If I don't pay it they have threatened to sue me for the entire cost of the damage. They lied to me, admitted it, said it didn't matter, and if I refused to cough up $500 bucks they are going to sick a collection agency on me. The manager was pretty smug about it, actually! P.S. Their service is shitty. The "guy" who initially brought me from the dealership to enterprise to rent a car left the dealership in Albion without me. I was 3 minutes late getting to College Chevy, so this miscreant left! The dealership had to call him to come back to get me. This place left my elderly grandmother stranded because they refused to accept cash for the initial deposit. Mind you the deposit was for fifty dollars, not five thousand. What are people who don't have quick access to their bank supposed to do? Just be wary, if your card declines or doesn't work for whatever reason they will NOT accommodate you or help you in any way. Online ordering is super easy to schedule your own ride and they even pick me up because I'm less than 10 mi away and they drove me home after I dropped it off!!! We will never rent anyplace else. Rented a van to vacay in North Carolina. Got caught up in hurricane I. Van was swept away and totaled. Tyler at Jackson Michigan location jumped thru hoops for us. He assured us and he delivered. Enterprise in Wilmington NC was just as nice and got us a van to get home. 8 of 12 vehicles totaled and Enterprise took care of us all. Terrible customer service. My insurance company made a reservation yet when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told they did not have a vehicle until 6pm. I explained I had no other options so was given the keys to a dirty vehicle that did not even match I should receive. I refused to take that vehicle as it look as though someone had get sick in the back floor area. I was then given another vehicle but yet again it was not thoroughly cleaned. we had a GREAT experience with enterprise in jackson. tyler and nate were awesome. tyler was friendly and personable, and he took the time to answer our questions and walk us through our options. as we were leaving, we couldn't figure out how to open the hatch. nate stopped what he was doing and came out to help us. the whole process was quick (but we didn't feel rushed) and the staff was professional but personable and friendly at the same time. i've used ALL the car rental companies but after this experience with tyler and nate at jackson enterprise, i don't see a need to go anywhere else. read more

This is a terrible rental place! We accidentally left our garage door opener in the rental car. We realized that we left it after getting all the way home. We turned around and went back to get our garage door opener. When we got there the car had already been rented out by someone else. The car was cleaned beforehand but they obviously weren't thorough. They called the lady who rented car and left a message. We told them to call us or mail it to us when they had gotten it back. It had been months of us not having our garage door opener and we had to go out of our way to get inside our house. We just called them again yesterday to find out the status on the garage door opener and they told us that they have had it for a whole month. No call no package in the mail! When we went to pick it up today they didn't apologize for any inconvenience at all. They were very rude on the phone when we called multiple times. Do not do business with them. They do not go above and beyond after returning a rental to return your possessions. read more
