We've rented vehicles through Enterprise before but never used them for personal use actually. I needed a car for out of town travel and the vehicle I was provided was outstanding. The booking process was easy online too and not really any Hassle at all. My only complaint was that the vehicle smelt like really smelly wet dogs and spent a good time getting the smell out. Staff here was okay but the atmosphere inside felt the equivalent to going to the DMV. The location isn't bad but the hotel behind it is a subject to many issues. The car did it's job with no issues as well as returning it so I'm generally satisfied with my experience with Enterprise. read more

Late in the evening of Christmas Eve we made an online reservation for a car from Enterprise, because they were the only rental place in the area with any inventory. While their prices are higher than others in the area, their service was top notch. John was great. He made sure the car was clean. He noticed that the backseat and trunk needed vacuuming and had it done right away. He also sent a hiker to get the gas tank topped off, which was very thoughtful and saved us a stop. My husband rented a car the day before in this location which was supposed to be a Toyota Camry and when he went to get the car the next day in the morning they told him the car he rented it wasn't ready they didn't clean it. . The employee told him to get a Chevy Camaro . Car was very uncomfortable and not enough room leg for 4 passengers and almost 3 hour trip. I went in here with a reservation, when I got there all that they had left were one truck and minivans. Which was not part of my reservation. I was appalled at how disgusting the vehicle was that they tried to rent to me. dirt everywhere spilled soda dog hair ashes from someone smoking inside the vehicle... Absolutely disgusting... I ended up walking out of there without a vehicle . But yet they charged me $250 and when I tried to call to get the money back I get hung up on . I cannot believe the lack of professionalism from Enterprise and their customer service center as well. My car broke down on a Saturday night, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this Enterprise location was open on a Sunday. I made a reservation for a car online, overnight Saturday and it was ready & waiting for me on Sunday morning. I have only been to the Joliet location once or twice, and was not impressed with the service previously. They obviously have changed and enhanced the customer service experience greatly with new staff. Very personable with conversation and the manager (possibly) was very helpful with information about Enterprise (weekend deals, pick up improvements) that I never knew about. This is not the closest Enterprise to my home, but I would go back just because of the customer service and prompt reply. Very unreliable place. I had confirmation that someone was supposed to pick me up to give me a ride to the rental place at 5pm and no one showed up at all. Place closes at 6pm, as most car rental places do. No one called me back to alert me of any issues. Now I am stranded, have no way to get to work and all rental places are closed. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I called the supervisor at the main number and he was unable to get hold of anyone at the place. What a joke. Would never use them. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I reamed a car on Thursday, they said it was the last one available so I could take it or leave it. When I got in the vehicle the low tire pressure light was on. I was told to just drive it and swap it out the next day when another car would be available. For the past 3 days I have been told that no cars are available and to just call roadside assistance if the tire goes completely flat. Now I've been at the rental store for over an hour, I'm told that if there is a car left at the end of the day when they close I can swap out the defective car. Extraordinarily rude employees except for one well-mannered young blonde lady. They also like to tack on whatever they can in terms of fees and additional warranties and don't explain the full repercussions of them unless you know very specifically what you're signing up for. If you call, you're likely to get hung up on. Unless they can suck money out of you they want nothing to do with you. I wouldn't be surprised if they made commission based on sales. I absolutely would not recommend them to anyone. Go somewhere else. read more

Enterprise has DOUBLE CHARGED me by a LARGE amount of money. I was told I would receive some money back at the end once the vehicle was returned.. we have yet to find out about that. My experience with them was horrible. They are Liars!!! I don't know how a company lie that is still yo & running. A dealership has even stopped using them bc they would charge the customers DOUBLE!! But they say otherwise! I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE! And I obviously won't be coming back either. read more

Had a 7:30am reservation and arrived at 7:30am, car wasn't ready when I arrived, while driving the windshield wipers were loose and causing poor visibility, contacted the associate and he suggested I take the car to Firestone, like that's something I want to do, take a rental car to Firestone, then he asked if I could bring the car back and he assured me it would be a quick switch, NOT TRUE, car wasn't ready AGAIN when arrived, then the guy brings me a car that was filthy and smelled like Lysol (the brown kind), he then showed me two other cars that were filthy and smelled, and I should add I rented a truck in March and had similar issue with the vehicle not being clean and to add to my fustratraion one of the associates blocked my car, and I had to wait another 10 minutes. I cancelled the rental and was told the $250 hold would be clear in an hour, NOT TRUE! Brooke, a supervisor there, was by far the rudest, least helpful person I have ever dealt with. A car was arranged for pickup after closing, at 730pm, and the employee that was supposed to stay, left early, leaving me without a car. Brook neither apologized nor offered any help, but instead when I called the following moring, after having to take a cab back to the hotel the night before, she had rented the car I was unable to pick up due to an Enterprise mistake, to another customer, leaving me car-less in the armpit of the earth that is Joliet, IL. Hertz down the road was a much more pleasant experience. I highly suggest that you do all possible to avoid this Enterprise, and in particular, that idiot Brooke. read more
