We rented a car 3/27-4/5, we chose this location because it had "24 hr drop off". Upon picking up…read morethe rental car on 3/27 I was told Enterprise changed their policy and are no longer accepting after hours drop offs, and if I don't have the car back by 12pm 4/5 we will get charged for two extra days (because they are closed). We set up the rental way back in February would have been nice to know would have picked a different location. Anyway, we didn't have a choice but to take the vehicle since we were leaving that day to Florida. We just decided to rearrange our return time, which apparently Mother Nature had other plans because Kentucky and Tennessee were having tornadoes and flooding. Rather than put our lives in danger we decided to stay the night in Alabama away from the storm which pushed our return time on 4/5. When I informed the location we would be returning the car after 12pm he basically told me too bad so sad we are still getting charged for two extra nights. After SEVERAL calls to customer service explaining the situation, have been told would be escalated to Regional Mgr and here we are two weeks later still waiting for $176 refund.

Went to the car rental section of the airport, paid extra for insurance bc I had the girls with me, I usually don't when I travel alone, so I paid over $600 for a sedan for 4 days. K. We get downstairs and they don't have any cars. There's none. Zero. They told me to come back after 8 am. My AirBnb was in DT St Pete. After trying to understand what the h e l l was going on, asking how much the Mustangs out front they're showcasing are, clearly they have cars, just none for the "poor people"? The literal 4, FOUR, people they had working behind the desk just stared at me like I was stupid, after I'd just paid over $600, they see me there with my children, so they finally offered me a refund to which I accepted, I walked out of the building and I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was exhausted, traveled all day for this? Well they actually threatened to call the police on me and demanded we leave immediately. I said well maybe they'd give us a ride ‍ Nope, we took an Uber to St Pete and then I began to use Turo. The owner of the vehicle I rented from brought the car directly to me when I rented it last minute and described my situation. Enterprise is awful. We just moved, so we had temporary driver's licenses. No problem in Tennessee, but this location in Illinois refused us a car because we had a temporary driver's license. Avis website states they accept a temporary driver's license, but apparently this is a franchise store with their own rules. We had to borrow a family member's car to get home to Tennessee. Called Avis which has the worst customer service. We were transferred three times before someone could assist us with a refund. Never, ever rent a car from AVIS!

Its been over a year now and I still haven't been compensated by the Enterprise Damage Claims unit for the damage or missing out on a year of use waiting for their appraisers to come by who never showed up. Nobody at Enterprise reached out to me at any point of this process. It's always been me making contact and them just kicking the can down the line. Keep telling me they need another week when they've had over forty weeks already. Now they're on the "Checks in the mail" run around acting like it still takes 4-6 weeks for mail to be delivered, when its more like 3 days for regular mail and an insurance check should have been overnighted or at least certified priority mail. Supposedly checks have been mailed USPS three times and FedEx overnight once and they expect me to believe all those got lost when I don't have any issues with other mail being lost. No tracking information was provided for any of them, probably because they haven't actually mailed one. Just wasting more time. They didn't need anything else the first four times the check was supposedly sent, now before sending it a 5th time they suddenly needed a copy of my title for some reason. I was assured multiple times that the check would be here on Thursday, if not Friday at the latest. Its now Monday and I still haven't seen it. Over a year since your company damaged my vehicle and nothing has been done about it except many hours wasted and a season down the drain that I'll never get back. How long could I get away with doing nothing if I smashed up one of your crappy fleet vehicles? I bet your car was fixed right away.
