Upon picking up…read morethe rental car on 3/27 I was told Enterprise changed their policy and are no longer accepting after hours drop offs, and if I don't have the car back by 12pm 4/5 we will get charged for two extra days (because they are closed). We set up the rental way back in February would have been nice to know would have picked a different location. Anyway, we didn't have a choice but to take the vehicle since we were leaving that day to Florida. We just decided to rearrange our return time, which apparently Mother Nature had other plans because Kentucky and Tennessee were having tornadoes and flooding. Rather than put our lives in danger we decided to stay the night in Alabama away from the storm which pushed our return time on 4/5. When I informed the location we would be returning the car after 12pm he basically told me too bad so sad we are still getting charged for two extra nights. After SEVERAL calls to customer service explaining the situation, have been told would be escalated to Regional Mgr and here we are two weeks later still waiting for $176 refund.

I rented a 15 passenger and there was trash left in the back. I get that it's a ginormous vehicle, but on top of the food wrappers there were boogers and/or food smeared in the windows. Um, yuck. After I signed my life away, stating that I won't go pick up people from Mexico or Canada, someone delivered to me a still dripping wet school bus. I said to myself, self, how nice of them to wash up the school bus for me. This thought process quickly dissipated as I drove off and realized the side mirrors were wet, but still dirty :| I squinted through the mirrors the whole ride home. Once I arrived, my kids and I spent 20 minutes of our time cleaning boogers, picking up trash and cleaning side mirrors. What great fun we had spending $120/day and having to clean up nastiness before we could utilize the rental. Listen closely, despite the drama above, there's a few reasons why this is a four star review vs two. The school bus drove well and we experienced zero issues, mechanically. The second day, someone from enterprise gave me a courtesy call to confirm things were going well with the rental. Once I politely complained about the cleanliness, or lack thereof, I was given an apology and a discount on the rental. Although my initial experience warranted two stars, the willingness of the service rep to care about my concerns is why I'll rent here again.

I am not from here, I don't know where their other locations are. I got a phone call on day one that I had the car asking about the service, wish they would have waited a day to really hear my opinion. The situation is additionally frustrating as their office is closed tomorrow and we don't know what is potentially going to happen to this car with the check engine light on. We just moved, so we had temporary driver's licenses. No problem in Tennessee, but this location in Illinois refused us a car because we had a temporary driver's license. Got very agitated when I asked if he could find a location that had a car with XM. If I did not have to leave any stars that would be the rating I would give them. As a company they are awful. This is the 2nd time and it WILL be the last. It was rented under a Corporate account. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
