I had a rental arranged here through my insurance company. I wanted an SUV since that is what I am used to (I don't enjoy being eye-level with squirrels when I drive), but they didn't have any available. It's cool, though. I got put into a 2018 Chevrolet Impala. It was a nice car with some very convenient features and, mechanically, was sound. There was what appeared to be cheese from a Taco Bell taco stuck to the inside of the windshield and smear marks from where someone had stuck a GPS on the inside, but I just cleaned the windshield and carried on with my day. The rest of the car was clean, save for some staining on one of the back floor mats. Again, this wasn't a super big deal to me and the car did very well for the 26 days that I had it. I actually ended up having to drive it to Memphis for my vacation as my car wasn't ready in time and it was a very pleasant drive. I only filled up twice there and twice back. The staff was helpful and prompt, and I had no issues getting my deposit back (it was only $50, I had expected $100, so that was nice) within 24 hours of returning the car. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. My only complaint is that I wish they'd had more vehicle options. read more

I received a one minute call an hour before vehicle pick up to be told that the ac in the suv that I was renting for a week was not working. I was told that they were trying to find another vehicle and I would revive a call back. Didn't even call back to apologize or say sorry for the inconvenience. read more

So if you need a car this isn't the place either. Both Lexington locations have personnel problems and supply issues. This was the better of the 2,but unless you have a whole day to kill and want to be treated like you are a homeless person I'd suggest you look into finding a different location. Seriously. This location has the best customer service I have received at a car rental facility. I travel often for work, and I have rarely seen representatives truly caring about their customers. I have rented multiple cars from this location for various reasons, and while I did have some issues with my most recent rental, it was quickly resolved without question. No doubt in my mind that I will choose Enterprise for future rentals! read more

As previously explained, my experience at the Lexington location of Enterprise has been less than stellar. This time the luxury reservation was honored and I was offered an Infiniti QX70. It's a nice car - but as usual - it was dirty. It was the only luxury car on the lot, so I said thank you, drove away and stopped at the nearest car wash. The car wash was $32. Money well spent considering how dirty the interior was. Clearly a dog had been in the car at some point. A week later my own car repairs are complete and I return the rental. After I vacuum the car again MYSELF. Then I get a phone call regarding a $150 cleaning fee. Really Enterprise?!?! You give me 2 filthy cars in a row, I turn them in cleaner than when I picked them up, AND THEN you try to charge me for "detailing". Unbelievable. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had at an Enterprise location. Let me mimic what another review said..."THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT RESERVATIONS". I was in a wreck late in December and the at fault parties insurance called in a car rental on January 10th for January 14th. I called Enterprise on January 10th to confirm they had received the reservation and advised them I would be there at 8am on Tuesday, January 14th to pick up a car that is in comparison to a Toyota Camry. The individual on the phone said he would mark the reservation and advised they would have something comparable. I arrived at 8am, when the store said they opened, and there were two customers that were already being helped. When I went inside to be helped I was greeted by an individual at the desk who asked my name for the reservation. He grabbed keys off of the key board for a Nissan Sentra (comparable to a Camry) and started my paperwork for the car. About a minute after he started my paperwork another coworker walked up to him for the customers that had walked in behind us and asked him which keys he should take for them. He looked down at the keys left and then handed over the car that he had and was reserved for me to the coworker and said to give them that car and he would take the car left for me. I immediately asked what car was left where he promptly advised me I would now be getting a minivan. I'm not exactly sure on what planet these individuals think a minivan is the same as a Camry or what customer service level they try to strive for but to give away the car that was already set aside for me and the keys in your hand to another customer that showed up after me is inexcusable! I refused the minivan and instead of going to get the car keys back he advised that I could come back in an hour to get a mid size SUV. Once again not comparable to a Camry and I also had to advise the young man that I have a job I have to work in order to pay my bills and I was already late to work because of this stop so no I could not come back in an hour. I asked him if he would have any cars available this afternoon so I could come back after work and he said they would but couldn't promise anything to me. After long conversation regarding our reservation he finally advised he would have a car for me at 5:30pm. Showed up at 5:30pm where I was given a rental car of none other than a Toyota Camry...an exact comparison. We went out walked around the car signed the paperwork and I got in to leave. The entire inside of the car was disgusting...it hadn't been cleaned out there was sticky stuff in the back seat and black marks on the roof of the car on the inside. I was happy to give the car back two weeks later after my car was fixed to not only then have them try and charge me to refill the gas tank when the original paperwork advises that the at fault party insurance takes care of everything and there was a $0 charge for gas refill. Terrible experience. I will never go to this location again and I will tell everyone I know about the experience as well. read more

Car was dirty when I received it. There was a half eaten hot dog in the back floor board. Despite that, I enjoyed driving the 2015 Chevy Cruze. I signed up for Enterprise Plus, but got no rewards whatsoever. Due to a mechanical problem with my primary car, I had the rental for 36 days. I was shocked to learn that I earned no points , perks, or free rental days. Come on.....really? I spent over $700 on a rental. I deserve some token of appreciation. That leaves a bad taste. Most likely will try another rental car company next time. read more

I was from out of town and stranded with my 3 year old due to car trouble but was able to get into a nice car in Lexington right away. Easy to find. Great employees in person and also Dan helped me extend my rental over the phone a few days later with no problems. read more

Dropped the car off at this location after renting from the Charleston airport. Easy to find, short wait inside, and extremely friendly staff! This rental was arranged by my insurance company. After arrival I was given a Jeep Liberty. Upon driving the Jeep I noticed it needed repair as it had a bad grinding noise not affected by braking, as a professional mechanic with over 35 years experience I felt it to be a bad wheel hub. I quickly returned the vehicle and told them it needed repair. I was quickly upgraded to a Dodge minivan, but before I was even given the keys they had re-rented the Jeep back out. I told them again it needed repair and I was blown off. The minivan was returned MUCH cleaner than it was issued. Upon cleaning it I discovered it had old receipts and food particles throughout. To make matters worse the attendant accepting it back told me there were cost overages (TAXES) and asked...Do you want to put them on your credit card. I told him any and all costs for the vehicle will be paid by the insurance company. Sneaky trick, but no go! Overall this experience was very unprofessional and unpleasant. But hey, when you have a monopoly why worry about your quality of service. read more

I have found this location to be quite slow in their service. They often are not prepared when I arrive and spend time finding a car for me. I made a reservation and showed up a few minutes earlier. The representative checked me in and charged my card $325 before telling me they didn't have a car to fill my reservation. He then proceeded to tell me that it would be an 1 1/2 hours before they could have me a car. I explained that it was the middle of my work day and I didn't have time to wait around. He said it was my fault for not making the reservation earlier. I explained that it was Enterprises responsibility to have enough cars on hand for the reservations they accept. He said something like " well maybe we should just manufacture the cars on site so we have one when you need it." Wow! I cancelled the reservation on the spot. I went to make a reservation with my wife, we were asked if we wanted full insurance coverage. My wife then had to go to the bathroom when she returned my son asked me to go outside to see if they had a car he would like to rent. As I was going back in they were coming out and said the reservation was made, no discussion was made between us about price or coverage. Three days later when I went to pick up the car I was told she wanted insurance coverage which I questioned but was told this was what she asked for, she is a nurse and is very hard to get a hold of on the phone but I was assured this was the price she wanted. When I returned the car and she saw the receipt she got very upset stating this is not what I agreed to even though I was told it was by the booking agent, even after I asked him was he sure the full insurance coverage was what she wanted. He replied "oh yeah this is what she wanted", so I now feel lied to and mislead. But I guess this is okay because I will never make the mistake of doing any kind of business with them again. Service was extremely fast and friendly (Lee) given that I walked in requesting a rental mere minutes prior to their closing time. I was given a Maxima for the 2 days that I needed a rental and the cost was almost $140, even with the Honda Dealership discount. I found that to be quite expensive for a sedan. I ended up being able to return the car a day sooner, as the repair shop was done with my car earlier than anticipated. I called the Enterprise office the next morning to make sure that I would receive an adjusted bill and spoke to a lady who was anything but helpful or friendly. She was very clearly irritated by my questions and was not willing to help me figure out why I never received any email with my adjusted bill or total charges. I was highly disappointed by this encounter, as most everything else had been a pleasant experience with this location. read more

The whole ordeal was a nightmare...but the young ladies at enterprise made sure I was taken care of and on the road. I made a reservation online and found out that the location I originally picked didn't accept debit cards so I changed the reservation location,but when I got to the new location they didn't have my reservation so I no longer got the discounted rate. The young ladies did the best they could and got us on the road after many changes and hiccups on enterprise's part and my own. Once again I have to give props to the young ladies behind the counter they did all they could to get us in a car at a decent price,but 3 hours later after my pick up time I ultimately paid 80.00 more than the original reservation price due to telephone customer service not transferring my reservation.
