I have seen a lot of bad reviews about the car rental experience here in Los Angeles .. they talk about the horror of the wait time or the difficulty and frustration they went through to rent a car ... Well, THIS IS A WONDERFUL REVIEW of my experience! My local Enterprise Car place is literally five blocks from my house and I have rented from them before without a hitch every time ! This past Saturday, my daughter and I picked up the car at the time now we had booked and met the wonderful Rob ( our birthday twin ) who was so helpful and so lovely! He was fantastic and the experience was fast, smooth and wonderful! Then, Lawrence, another fabulous employee checked us out ( going over all the car details) and made that experience easy peasy and we drove off so happy about the expeditious way everything was handled. Returning the car yesterday was again easy and I left smiling! I wanna give a big shout out to both Rob and Lawrence for being such wonderful people! Enterprise should be very happy to have such outstanding people representing their brand! So, this is my local community business and I know it's a big chain but I have to say this particular enterprise Rent-A-Car gets five stars and if I could give more I would ! So, I highly recommend!!!! TIP! TIP! : If you are not taking ( paying for) insurance for rental, MAKE sure you bring your own insurance card as proof that you have it. It's a new rule! My car was in an accident and totaled, and Enterprise worked with my insurance to get me into a rental car literally the next day. The people that work there are friendly and extremely helpful. One person I have to mention is Lawrence who went out of his way to not only help me find a car that was covered by my insurance, but he also had so much empathy and compassion for my situation. He made the stress and anxiety of having to get a rental car easier, and he even educated me on Enterprise's car selling program. This place you gotta watch out for it. I don't know how but they accidentally charge my car for $500 that was not authorized and I'm going through it to get this out and I had some strange charges after that I would be very careful of display I forgot the guys name who helped me out the front. He was really nice and the girl who gave me the car the first day but the person whosomehow supposedly accidentally charged me $500 that's very suspicious so watch out for this place when it comes to your charges, the customer service there when you're in person I gotta say they are very friendly but that mistake I've never experienced anywhere else. read more

The WORST rental experience I've had in 30 years. I reserved a premium SUV, checked in online, and even got a confirmation call. When I showed up on time, the so-called manager told me they didn't have my car and basically said it wasn't their problem. His "solution"? Take a sedan or rent another car to drive all the way to LAX and maybe get what I reserved. I'd already spent $50 on an Uber just to get there. They shoved me into a Chevy Malibu, then stopped me before I could leave, saying they needed that car back and I had to take another one. After being flat-out lied to that LAX had SUVs, I got there only to find out they didn't. The Venice location was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The manager literally told me "take a sedan or don't" and walked away to talk to someone else. The only reason I rented was for 7 seats. A sedan was useless. Hours wasted, treated like dirt, and no accountability. Thankfully, Emily at LAX (a real manager) eventually apologized and found me an SUV after 30 minutes. Venice location = rude, dishonest, and zero customer service. That "manager" should be fired. I'll never rent from them again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. Shameful. read more

walked in with my reservatio and ended up with Leslie or as I described her "the mean girl with attitude that normally works at the Marina Del Rey location! talk about piss poor attitudes... we all have bad days but I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!! if you don't like your job quit and find another job. she was horrible, told me Incould not use my ATM. I was then told by Lawrence (super cool dude) that I could use my ATM! I explained what happened and he paused realizing that she was being an asshole! sadly she was there to be "helpful" not sure how being an asshole with an attitude equates to "helpful"? Shes short, ugly, piss poor attitude and has a giant FUPA!!! Luckily she will return to the Marina location to annoy everyone else there.. As for Lawrence, super nice and beyond helpful!! He definitely made up for the FUPA piggy so don't let this deter you.. maybe avoid the Marina Enteprise since that's her standard pig pen! Make sure to ask for Lawrence, has an awesome personality, extremely helpful and just an all around nice guy!! He looks super young but he's probably over 21, and check him out!! read more

So far my experience with this location has been really great and far superior to the other branches in west LA (especially the location on La Cienaga, stay away from there). Jennifer Decker on the other has been super helpful. I'm relieved to be in a quality car that's clearly very clean. The car I got from the La Cienaga location was full of dog hair underneath the seats and beneath the mats so I didn't see it immediately, but I'm very allergic to certain breeds of dog, so I had been uncomfortable for days. Right off the bat Jennifer was helpful, a good communicator and very professional yet relaxed. I got in the car and noticed immediately that there is are additional Clorox wipes, and a complete clean pledge print out as well as one hanging from the rear view mirror. None of this came in my La Cienaga rental. I guess they know they can't give a complete clean pledge AND rent out cars with dog hair all over the trunk and left beneath the seats. Anyways, enough about how bad La Cienaga's location was. Sometimes an outstanding employee can step in and rectify the situation and Jennifer did that today. On top of that, I had rented earlier this month from this same location and the other staff members who take care of me then were great and the car came with the same complete clean pledge print outs as well as the Clorox wipes. The car feels way better and smells nice. I know where I'll be coming while I continue to sort out replacing my stolen catalytic converter. The last thing I wanted was another headache and unfortunately that's what I got with the enterprise on La Cienaga, but I feel good knowing that I can count on the Venice Blvd location and their great staff to get me in a good clean car. The four stars are for Robert who did an outstanding job of helping us- but I subtracted one star because Enterprise did not honor its promise to give us the car that we had originally reserved. We booked well in advance and called a few times to make sure that this car would be there - but on the day we arrived, we did not find that car. This will also be a long review because I have no idea how to make it shorter lol I had the pleasure of visiting this Venice Blvd Enterprise location about a month ago after dropping off my rental car that I had while my car was in the shop for some repairs. I could write a whole page about the stress I had been through the month prior with a bad car accident and how overwhelmed I had been ever since, so I was pretty mentally tapped-out from all these car-related transactions I had been dealing with. Bottom line, Alana and Robert gave absolutely AMAZING service. After what I experienced the entire month prior. these two were an absolute breath of fresh air. I love writing positive reviews for amazing people and these two deserve it more than anyone. I (annoyingly) arrived probably 8 minutes before closing on some weeknight, I didn't have my phone charger with me so my phone died and I needed a way to get to the Honda dealership down the road to pick up my car. I explained to Alana that my phone was dead and I somehow needed to get to the dealership/asked if it was too late to have Enterprise give me a ride - she was kind enough to enthusiastically (without question!) ask her manager, Robert, if anyone could give me a ride. Robert came over a couple minutes later and said an Uber had been ordered for me. I was confused knowing there's no way Enterprise would have ordered me an Uber on their dime and it dawned on me that Robert paid for this himself. He hadn't even met me yet when he made this decision and was willing to pay out of his pocket so that a customer of his could have a good experience. This is such a long review that I'm sure no one will read but in case Alana and Robert do - I have thought about that experience every day since it happened and coming from someone who works with people everyday, you two are absolutely amazing. I have never been on the receiving end of service this kind and selfless - I also don't know many people who would be this nice to someone who could easily be seen as inconsiderate for showing up minutes before closing (haha). bad customer service had me come in just to tell me the car i called in for was taken and rented

Terrible experience. I had a reservation to pick up my car at 1pm and they still had to clean the car and prepare it so i had to sit there for 45 minutes. So right off the back reservations don't mean much here. But that was fine because the manager was a nice person. Upon returning my car, the worker tried to make me at fault for a scratch in the car that that was already there. I was with the manager when she took pictures and notes before I rented the car. They claimed they "didn't have any notes" or images of the car and if I didn't get the insurance they would've made me pay for that scratch. It's such a poorly run business and I will never use enterprise ever again especially this location. read more

I've rented multiple times from Enterprise in the past but never from THIS specific location. All I've got to say is WOW!! Wow, wow, wow! From the first interaction over the phone to the moment I stepped into this office. I can honestly say this was the best car rental experience, over ever had. I was recently involved in a collision. I was rear-ended a day before leaving the country for vacation. As you can imagine, I was under a lot of stress and pressure, not knowing what type of mess I was going to return to. The uncertainty of not knowing how I was going to get around with my children had me feeling troubled, and a huge part of me expected to have a horrible time during my vacation. I expected being stuck in my head rather than enjoying my vacation, but these lovely ladies were ahead of the game and on top of everything. I received a call immediately the following day after the accident. I was quickly at ease and calm once I spoke to someone about a rental. They set me up for an appointment the day after I returned, and Jennifer, who was soooo AMAZING got me in a very nice sized car that fit me and all my little ones. I was afraid they'd get me into a small little bucket, but after expressing my safety concerns and the size of my family, she immediately worked her magic and was able to accommodate me. She was so pleasant to work with. She was thorough, precise, and quick to get me out of there. The entire experience was wonderful. The vibe was welcoming and very professional. All the ladies working here were excellent and had great attitudes, despite how busy they were. I definitely recommend renting your cars from this location. read more

Car rentals are hit or miss. This one was a hit! My car was really clean and the manager, George, was really helpful.

I rented a car in September and it was covered through my insurance. From this point, everything was great. I was told I just needed to leave a $200 deposit and I could leave.The issues started once I had to pay. Last Thursday, the car I originally rented got a flat and I called and the car was picked up. I went into enterprise and specifically ask for a new contract. I was told that it was not a problem .Remember, I had an original $200 deposit that was used for the original rental. I was charged an additional $236 and given a new car. Yesterday when I checked my bank account enterprise help themselves to another $286. I called today and nobody could explain to me why this had happened. I was assured that somebody by the name of Maria Ramirez would be giving me a call to sort everything out it 11:02 pm and she hasn't called me. All I know is that in course of a week. They've taken from me about $700 in total for one car. this is not OK. I never agreed or approved for them to take out extra money from my account and they can't seem to explain it. Please make sure that if you go there, everything is explained to you and you read because they like to take your money without an explanation. SOOOOO unprofessional. We went yesterday and my girl Liz checked us in, we were assigned a Ford Explorer but it needed a car wash. They looked pretty backed up so we told Liz we'd go have breakfast and to take her time since we weren't in a huge rush. We go and come back 45 min later to the news that Liz gave away our car to someone 'more important.' He came after us. Not sure what that means but it for sure pissed us off due to the fact she ASSIGNED US THE CAR. Do not mistake kindness for weakness with Liz. She was for-sure a nice happy person at the beginning but she'll turn on you real quick . Tried to put us in a tiny little car after that, after recommending a Mercedes GLC but realized she 'can't do it without a credit card'. At this point Liz is just my bestest of friends. She really didn't just ruin my day with an emotional roller coaster. Went again this morning and was greeted by the biggest people pleaser (sarcastic) named Jack! Not sure if that's even his real name but he's supposedly a manager. From my experience today apparently a cashier from McDonald's can get hired here as a manager. I tip my hat to you sir. Anyways! They had a new 2022 grand Cherokee but was unable to give that to us on a debit card because it was a "luxury car", let me remind you what happened yesterday left us without a car; because remember how amazing Liz is. Jack practically told me to f**k off so we left and I'm here now writing this. Moral of the story, if you need a car and don't care about being treated like a human because you don't have a credit card, this is the place for you. I'd like to acknowledge JUAN, Miguel, Anthony (I'm sorry I forget the rest of the nice guys who have helped me) for their assistance during this frustrating time of having to rent a car since I was on the 'receiving end' of an accident that occurred in December. Obviously one doesn't look forward to being in an accident (I would like to think) and after getting my car into the nearby body shop, I was brought over to Enterprise where the wait time was short and the customer service friendly. I was a little annoyed I had to give them my own credit card for $100 'hold' while I had the car out (even though the other drivers insurance was covering this rental) but I suppose that is their policy; similar to a hotel doing the same thing for incidentals so overall, I understand (this has since been reimbursed back to me). Whenever I had a question or needed to follow up, the guys who I mentioned above were always friendly and informative. This location is nowhere near me but neither is the body shop I chose and I would still recommend them to others who need to rent a car. This is the second time I've used Enterprise (first time at this location) and I can say I would use them again, although similar to the body shop, I hope I don't have to anytime soon... read more

Unfortunately, I rented from Enterprise today and it was a terrible experience. I'm a seasoned customer of this particular location but; it was my first time back in awhile. Bret was my agent at the counter and boy, have things changed. What changed? The people! Let me start out by stating that I was a Revenue manager for Avis. I was taught that you welcome your customers back and you let them know that you are happy to see them because good repeat customers are responsible for your paycheck. When I worked for Avis we worked very hard to put clean, non-damaged cars on the lots for our customers. There was pride and excellence to doing our work even though we were far from perfect. Bret went to a different school than I did. Instead of welcoming me back as a customer he proceeded to talk to me as if I had never ever rented from Enterprise before nor did he seem to care. As well, the cars he presented were scratched, dirty and one had a bad dent in the back. I was shocked because at Avis we would of never put it on the lot. All Brent could say was the dent fit in a circle and the scratches were at an acceptable level. As well, he could run it through the wash again but; that would not have solved the dirty inside console. This was all according to their POLICY. It was like I was speaking to Siri on a phone the way he responded each time. The sad part is Bret is a young man, probably from a good family but; completely unaware. I don't fault him, I fault large faceless corporations who know longer train their employees properly. Bret is disconnected from how he gets paid like a person who thinks meat comes from the grocery store, not knowing or caring it comes from a farm and is first a live animal. From Brett's perspective asking for utility documents (which was fine) he was following policy since I was paying with a debit card instead of my credit card but; it was the only thing and I mean the only thing that mattered to him. In my opinion, we've allowed our society to fall to such low level of acceptable standards and until we to stop giving our business to faceless corporations excellence, competence and caring is history. read more

Booked a car rental, received confirmation notice. On the day of the trip, I called enterprise to confirm my reservation and that I'd be able to pick up a car and they said they don't have any available cars, despite me having a CONFIRMATION OF MY RESERVATION. Incredibly frustrating to have a confirmation of reservation, only to be told they would not honor their end of the agreement. I have also not yet received a refund. I've booked through enterprise many times in the past for work trips, but after this experience, will be looking at other rental agencies, as it seems this company is not reliable with their bookings. read more

The new manager Robert is very rude I tried reaching out to him with issues with my rental. He never called me back. And even charge my card without me knowing . We travel a lot, and therefore have accrued an impressive amount of points and bonuses from various travel industries such as Enterprise. We haven't had to rent a car in a while, especially since we both have cars and if we ever needed anything, we could use Turo or some other quick and easy app. However, my girlfriend, who owns her own Non-Profit, was throwing an event and we needed a truck, and so we used our points The customer service was remarkable! Scott and Rudy are truly engaged to the customer service experience! We were both thoroughly impressed with their diligence, attentiveness, and in Scott's case, great conversation and food taste! My summary for today; I needed a car that i already had my reservation. I went to this branch to get my car. They offered me only 2 crappy car and i asked if they have another option. The front desks (Michael) answer: - they dont have any other cars on any branches in los angeles. Somehow he checked all Los Angeles area within a minute. I left the place and called another enterprises nearby and they have tons of different varieties of cars. You guys are the worst front desk i have ever seen. Why are you lying to customers?
