Luckily I'm not on a time crunch but if I was.. it took about 30 mins from my reservation to be "checked in" and then currently still waiting to even get my car which I had a reservation time of 12pm. I understand being short staffed when people call out but maybe this review will let management know they need a backup plan or realize they are short staffed. Finally got help after another 30 mins so an hour total wait after my reservation time. The staff were gracious and kind but they need to figure something out. Next will be the review about the car. I received the car with an empty tank. That was my first time ever.. it's usually with some gas at least. So now I need to go and fill up. Once again luckily I'm not on a time crunch but if I was, that would be a very big set back. I had a great experience with Enterprise Manteca. Had a collision case and they helped me out so well during a difficult time. They picked me up from the auto body shop and took me to their location for my rental and it took only 5 minutes to get me on the road with a Subaru, which I named Mathilda. Spent 3 weeks with that car and it's such a nice and reliable car! With unlimited miles, I had a great time taking it out to places I've never been to. My wife reserved a car a week ago for a trip we are taking today. We showed up at our pick up time just to be told "sorry we don't have any cars right now..." and that we should try the Tracy location because they have a big selection of vehicles. I asked if she can call to check if they have what we need and she said it would be better if we called because we are customers. While we're outside trying to get on the phone with the Tracy location. I went back inside to ask if they had anything else. The couple of times I've dealt with this location, I've had really poor customer service. They allegedly never have cars available even when the website says it is in fact available. They once told me I was not allowed to use my corporate account because it was not for "leisure". I showed them my contract and they recanted and said it was because of people that lie that they said that to me. Sort of reminded me of the cops who treat people guilty until proven innocent. This location has always been good as far as the service, but don't try to call them as they don't answer the phone. They will ignore it and when I was there I asked why they didn't answer they said they were understaffed. I believe it's the way it is managed though. The staff is friendly, we rented two vans and they were very busy there but we were taken care of pretty well. We had an adjustment that took 3 days to get corrected on our invoice. If you can not remember what customer service feels like.......rent a car from this location and they will remind you how great it can be! I called the 800 number yesterday to reserve a car. I was really having a horrible day as my husband's car is going to be stuck at the dealer for 30 days due to a parts shortage. You can only imagine how frustrated and upset I was. The telephone agent let me know there was a car available at this location. I walked to Enterprise (since I had no car) and was met by Peter. What a great smile and calm demeanor he had. There was a small hiccup with my reservation, but within minutes Peter solved the problem and was able to get me in my rental. He walked me around the car to make sure the exterior was in good shape and even walked me through some of the interior features so I knew how to use everything. There was even an individually wrapped Clorox wipe placed in the car so you can wipe down the steering wheel to feel safe and clean. I appreciated that. He made sure I knew where the gas level was at and that I felt comfortable before I drove off. The rental process is paperless and extremely fast with their tablet. You just need to present your Drivers License and Credit Card. In my frantic afternoon, I forgot to grab my insurance card. He asked to call them back the next morning to provide them my policy number. During the entire process, Peter was amazing. He had a great attitude, wonderful personality, he was patient, kind and understanding. He turned my horrible afternoon around. I can not thank you enough Peter. The next morning I called in to give them my insurance policy info. Brianna (I hope I spelled that correctly) answered the phone. She proved that this store offers great customer service. Booked our reservation via Travelocity when planning a visit to Manteca from Phoenix. We did not see anything that stated we could not use a debit card if we were not local residents. Found ourselves in another state with no means of transportation. Thankfully Hertz does not require a credit card so we were able to reserve a vehicle through hotwire. We just had to pay a 200.00 deposit which we were prepared to do with Enterprise. Hertz also gave us a discount because our insurance is with Statefarm so we saved 10%! Hertz on E Yosemite! Still giving Enterprise 2 stars because they provided a courtesy drop off to a nearby relative's house. read more

Rented a car from this location only two problems I had was that I was given a 6 cylinder vehicle in reality I rented a compact vehicle that should have been a 4 cylinder. The vehicle I rented was also missing the windshield wiper assembly so I had no windshield wipers, but the associate that I returned my vehicle to was very accommodating. read more

It is pointless to make prior reservations for anything if you aren't going to have any vehicle in the class the reservation is for when you come in to pick up the vehicle. The woman behind the counter "upgraded" my reservation and now because they didnt have my reserved vehicle and had to upgrade me I have to provide a additional major credit card, pay stub and a utility bill?! I have NEVER had any issues renting with this company before but this is the first time I had a reservation at this location and WHAT A JOKE! My reservation was set in advance to avoid the bs and ensure the vehicle I reserved was available but apparently that doesn't matter with these lazy thou so holy unprofessional negligent employees. This has been by far the best car rental experience I've ever had. I reserved on line the night prior, and to my surprise, when I arrived, I never even had to sit down to wait. Everything was quick and efficient. They even gave me a free upgrade because what I had reserved had to go to Sacramento for a recall. My dad needed a rental and they only had a Camry and he was just stating how he wanted another car because he dosent like that type of vehicle and the employee said that he shoudnt have come in then. This location has shady practices. Rented a car brought it back. After the first initial check with the enterprise worker everything was fine only a small dent. And just to add Ive rent here for over 5 years never had any problems. The day I brought it back the work took the car in the back of the building after waiting for 10 - 15 mins the enterprise work comes back and said there's a dent underneath the car on right side passages door. Well isn't that surprising!! Seems like a case of scrutiny to me! So word of advice do not rent from here if you can or make sure you purchase their insurance because they like to take advantage of there cars being completely damage in areas you won't think to look! I was told we called you yesterday at 8am and you didnt answer so we didnt "reserve" a car, come back tomorrow. I have chronic lung disease and she was informed before I went there... denied my request for 3 way call and had to wait 30mins because she was busy talking on the phone... I been renting the same car from 1/24 to 7/28 paid over $9000 counting $2100 charge for a diff vehicle for 14days.... money was taken from my debit card as well as my cash payments ...debit card wasnt authorized by me but money taken out same day I paid cash....and she doesnt want to discuss it ???!!! I made a reservation under my mom's name. My parents arrived to pick up the car for their trip and the workers working on November 11/19/2022, Saturday at the closing time around 12 pm did not want to honor the reservation total price of $700+ and wanted to charge my parents $2000+!! I made the reservation ~3 months in advance. My father called me super upset and I tried to talk to the worker over the phone but he said that was the price now and we could take it or leave it. He kept saying that they are closing already so he didn't want to explain further or give other options. Extremely rude, unprofessional and took advantage of my elderly parents that don't speak English very well. My parents were about to pay that price!!! I asked them to cancel the reservation but they were left without a car for their trip. I looked other companies and found a car for 1000. I can't believe these workers were trying to scam my parents!!! I wonder how many people they do that to. My parents had a reservation! I wonder how much they cheat walk ins! I normally rent from this location and only this location for two reasons: It's down the street from my house, and excellent service. Today they fell short and as a result lost a few stars. I had a reservation for tomorrow, however, my plans changed and I modified it to pick up today. I literally left work early, drove like crazy to make it there by 5pm when they closed. I was greeted with a forced smile and was told they hadn't received my modification. I offered to show the sales girl my confirmation and she said since she didn't receive it, all she had was a compact car. I walked out to check it out and it was too small, which is why I reserved a larger one. I asked about renting any of the other cars on the lot and she responded, "Those are SUVs!" I was a little confused as I know what an SUV is, but okay. I asked about the pricing and any discount due to having to upgrade. She came back to inform me that because I hadn't checked with them to make sure they had the car I reserved when I modified my reservation, I was pretty much out of luck. So it's the tiny red car or nothing. She did let me know I could go to the airport or come back in the morning at the time of my original reservation. I felt this was condescending as I already stated my plans had changed. Even though there were three employees standing there, no one offered any type of customer service. I understand that they can't change the situation, but at least apologize for my inconvenience. I think that because I was keeping them from going home they preferred to just stand and wait for me to leave so I did.
