I had a car accident and my insurance covers insurance rentals, through Enterprise. When I called to make the reservation the insurance company didn't send it through yet or made some mistake or something. The person on the other end of the phone, was named Juilianne. She told me she will fix and it will be ready for the next when I need the rental. I called an hour later to check in and it was all set. She told me a car would be ready the next morning (as I wanted). When I went to rent the car, I asked to upgrade to a SUV, Julianne said all they had were small sedans and a pickup truck with an extended cab (Ram 1500). The Ram was cool, the large back seat fit my kids. She said the truck had a half tank of gas, please return it that way. I can't figure out how many gallons that is to stop at 1/2 tank. I politely asked for a full tank and she immediately had one of the cleaning crew go fill it up. Julianne was a great help, got the truck with a full tank and it was clean. 5-Star service! Respectful and very cordial management, made my business rental quick and easy. I was worried with a sedan rental made by my company, facing a cold and snowy drive into upper Maine. Never again. They discontinued their discount for a club of which I'm a member for political reasons, over an event that had nothing to do with our club - NOTHING. I rent 2-3 times a year and they've lost me - I'm going to someone who actually wants my business. What great service! I had my first experience having to drop off a car for body repair and Enterprise came to the rescue. My husband needed them twice in the past few months for the same . They pick you up where you leave your car and drive you to the center to pick your own rental up! Super guy named Steven was with me from start to finish! VERY UNDERSTAFFED. When I picked up my rental, for the 30 mins I was there, no one answered any of the ringing phones and there were 5 other people waiting. Now, I have been on hold trying to talk to a staff member for TWO HOURS. Two 40 mins holds, Two for 20. I hung up and recalled thinking maybe there was a mixed up because no one even picked up to ask me to hold. I was wondering if I had the wrong number till someone FINALLY answered. I have an existing rental I need questions answered about so I was basically held hostage. Thank god this was being paid for by an insurance claim, I will NEVER go here by choice. I have rented from this place twice just in the past week and I have been amazed both times by the helpful and welcoming staff . The place down the road has quite a lot to learn from the Enterprise School of Management. Not only will Enterprise and the wonderful folks in Maynard come pick you up all the way in Acton, but they will do so without so much as a half an hour notice. Do yourself a big favor and rent your next vehicle from enterprise in Maynard don't even bother with the rest. the cars are clean, the cars are new, and they have quite a selection. I have been renting from these guys quite a bit recently for my company. The staff is very friendly and seem to follow the enterprise guide :). All rental places that are not major hubs will have stock issues but these guys have always stepped up for me when I needed to travel. Yeah sometimes I get a minivan but sometimes I get a new cadi. It is a wash for me. The rates are good and anytime I had an issue they stepped up. I recommend them 100%. read more

I have been using Enterprise in Maynard since 2015 for long periods of time without an issue. I went back to them this month and found out that Nick who used to be the manager had moved and with him the integrity of the company as well. The new staff seems to be very careless and doesn't bother at all. I kept calling about switching my car and nobody even returned my calls. Its time to switch the company. I have never had a good experience with this place. I have rented from here on a few occasions when my car was in the shop. Although they speak in a helpful manner, they do not address customer concerns. I made an appointment a week in advance to get a car, and was kept waiting almost an hour to be picked up. When I got to the rental place I had to wait in line for another 15 minutes and then was given a car several grades below what I requested and was approved for. Their only excuse was 'It's Monday, we're busy'. Totally not acceptable. read more

I had another very positive experience at Enterprise. Nick did everything right, finding a larger vehicle to meet our needs, getting us in and out quickly and generally ensuring that the transaction - both in and out - went as smoothly as possible. Apart from the fact that Enterprise is one of just two companies renting locally in the Acton area, I choose them because I really like how they do business. This is old-timey customer service that you simply don't find anymore, and because they price out well every time, you're not paying any more to be treated well and respected. I have always rented from enterprise so I was a little surprised when they called me to see how my rental was. I told him fine. Then Steven proceeded to tell me he was filling a claim with my insurance company because there were scratches on the hood and roof of car. He Proceeded to say it looked like shovel marks. I explained I would never use a shovel to remove snow off of a car! When I went to rent the car it was literally a 30 second walk around the car for inspection and then I was told to initial here sign here etc. I returned the car on Sunday at 11 at which time no one was there and I put keys in lock box. Monday at 12 noon i received the call from Steven. Could something have happened after I dropped the car off at 11 until Monday? He was very cold with me. Lesson learned with enterprise do a complete walk through of car no matter how busy they are prior to taking it and always inspect the car when you drop it off!!! read more

Same story as Cat A., though now a year later - Maynard Enterprise was more than an hour late for their appt. to pick me up. No call, no warning. Strung me along ... 'on their way'. Then another 30 minutes chilling in the office. DONT expect good service from Maynard Enterprise Monday morning! They did give me a free 1/2 tank of gas to make amends, and told me they had 40 cars go out Monday morning, 30 for pickup before 9. If they can't handle it, they should not take the reservations. read more

Great service! I booked the littlest car, and when I got in they said it was a tiny Fiat, and I could have a bigger one for a couple dollars more per day. I said that I thought maybe I'd like to try the Fiat to see how it was. They wrote up the agreement for that, and I thought we were all set. Then my friend came into the office and said I shouldn't rent the Fiat since I'd be doing a lot of highway miles and it's a tiny car to be fighting 128 traffic. So the Enterprise guy said "no problem" and found me a different car immediately. Friendly, easygoing and flexible. Great experience. read more
