rented a large suv through Expedia l, arrived at location 15min prior to scheduled reservation. hand my credentials over to be told they couldn't contact me to confirm I was coming. I did in fact confirm through expedia via email confirmation but apparently that isn't good enough. real issue is vehicle confirmed but nothing available at the location. vehicle was rented early enough to have one available on site. read more

I had a rental agreement through insurance. The pick up point and date had been already agreed to be January 30 at 11 am with a representative of this location, they even decided to call me 1 day after I had made the reservation to make sure everything was ok. What a surprise, today January 30 when the time came and I went in person to pick up just to be told that they don't have any cars. Best part? They wanted to reschedule me 1 whole week later. Love this location as it is very close to home and I can walk or cycle to it. They will pick you up or drop you off at home if arranged. Normally the wait is minimal and the staff is always friendly and efficient. I usually rent compact cars for the lower price but in a lot of cases I'm given a choice of a larger car (at no extra cost), which is fine by me. Recently rented a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica that was fully loaded and a perfect vehicle to drive all the way to Montana. read more

I have to give credit where credit is due. It seems whoever is managing this location has done WONDERS since my last visit. I'm upgrading my review from one star to five stars. I needed a car fast. I was chatting with a friend who said her daughter worked at Enterprise so she jumped on the phone before I could say another word. Within 10 minutes, my rental was ready. I have insurance claim and I used enterprise rental, only for them to tell me that it would be a week before they could accommodate me with a rental. A week has passed and still no rental.I went to the location at 2948 Poplar on12/15/22 and I was told by a manager,that he guaranteed that I would have a car that day and he would call me. There was no call from him or any representative from enterprise. I called on 12/16/22 and was told that he would call around and check and see if he could find a car at the airport site. He stated he would call me back in one hour. There was no call . I called enterprise and was put on hold, the phone was disconnected. I would not recommend this establishment to anybody. Enterprise should shut the doors if they can't keep up with the demand. Enterprise claims to be the the best transportation service provider in the world. Didn't even care about my safety. I rented a van from Enterprise and was about to take a trip to Florida. Had multiple issues from the start, they offered to trade with another van, but I had to go to the other dealer and make the trade. After I traded vans I was heading to Florida when my wipers stopped working in the rain. I stopped at 3 different Enterprise lots around Athens, Ga. They had multiple vans on site, but were unable to help me due to it being fourth of July weekend and all were reserved. When I explained that I have already paid for what I expected to be a safe vehicle, that this vehicle was unsafe, and that not all show up for their reservation, he just reaffirmed that he couldn't due to the prior reservations. read more

JEFFREY STABLEIN! That is all I have to say. This guy is amazing. I work in hospitality and I have never met someone who provides customer service like him. No matter who you are, as soon as you walk in the door, he is going to do everything possible to make you happy. He treats each and every customer as he would like to be treated, and just makes your day better. This is my third time having to use enterprise do to having my car in the shop. This time, my insurance company set up my "reservation" at the enterprise on Covington Pike. It was such a bad experience after such a bad day, that I called my insurance company and enterprise to have my reservation moved to Jeffrey's location! Worst customer service in town. Ranks right up there with Comcast. Wanted to rent the car for 4 days during Memorial Day Weekend. Pick car up late Thursday evening and return it Monday early evening. Office is closed on Memorial Day. Understandable. They open again on Tuesday morning. If I bring it back on Tuesday, they will charge me for 5 days rental. Okay, we'll pick it up early Friday morning. But office doesn't open until 8AM. Can somebody come in early that day? NO. I call the toll-free number to talk with "customer service". This girl had no authority to do anything. What would she recommend I do? I'd take it back to the airport on Monday. We have one car, I told her. Could they pick the car up from our house? No, that location doesn't participate in the WE'LL PICK YOU UP PROGRAM. Won't be doing business with these fools ever again. read more

I've booked cars at this location for the boyfriend a number of times, since it's the closest one to our house, and it's been a bit of a mixed bag. The employees are (usually) friendly, the cars are (usually) decent, and I can (usually) find somewhere to park in their tiny lot. Plus, the prices are the lowest of any rental company by far. However, the boyfriend's most recent return, on a Saturday morning, was incredibly painful. Arriving promptly at 9am, the boyfriend reported that one lady had already been waiting for an hour (thinking they opened at 8am), and people just piled up behind her. The branch was majorly understaffed, and I sat waiting for the boyfriend for a solid half hour. He reported that just getting the guy to tell him that his credit card had expired was a major challenge, since he wouldn't stop mumbling. Come on, guys -- Saturday comes every week! So, while this is definitely a convenient location, their somewhat limited hours sometimes make it easier to just head to the airport for a car instead. read more

This is primarily the only Enterprise that I use. I have used them for the past six years or so for work travel. At times there is turnover with staff. However, I find consistency with receptiveness, friendliness, and overall engagement, regardless. The hours are on par with any other rental agency. The rates are competitive, and most of the cars have Bluetooth, which is immensely important for me. In full transparency, I had one issue about two years ago. Brandon the area manager, went above and beyond to rectify the situation. My travel for work waned after that. My last visit, was fluid and fast. I would give 0 stars if possible! Go anywhere else! Their employees are rude and they don't honor their word. I have "reserved" cars multiple times and been told they had none when I arrived. They have never picked me up, even though that's their slogan, and when asked, they say they can't. Today was my third and final attempt to rent from them and I'll never be back. I have moved several times this year and need an SUV to move my bigger items. It's always an issue with them. the company clearly doesn't care about customer service. This is not to bash, but for others to take.note. I rented a car from (Enterprise) the airport. When I got to the counter knowing its a holiday...it was packed. That was O.K. However, when I got to the front counter to get my rental car; the clerk said, "it cost this much to rent...plus! You need to have an extra $150.00 dollars on your card ...this is something being done in memphis. Well! It ended badly and I still didn't get my rental car. As I was talking with one of the managers upstairs trying to resolve this issue...an assistant manager decided to help by asking if I had a copy of my phone bill. I said,"No!" I said, " I shouldn't have to have this at all...I using a major credit card with certain limit, because I paid for other stuff for my trip. If I would have known, I would have made it available...but no one said anything. Plus! I have a major credit card. The young man become a little upset and flustered said..."it is left to our discretion to tell people about this policy." I said, really? ...Anyway, make sure if you're renting a car here in Memphis, Tennessee. Be sure eveythingis said up front or pay beforehand. read more

I've rented from enterprise many times over the years and overall have been satisfied. This location is closest to my midtown home so I've used it several times. However they are constantly understaffed (not the employees fault, pony up and hire enough employees Enterprise!) I booked for an 8AM pickup, was the second customer through the door when they opened and it took me an hour to get a car. Cars had to be cleaned, oil changed, etc. I'm happy with the cars I've received and with the employees in general but the understaffing and lack of cars ready upon promised time is becoming a common feature with Enterprise. read more

Everything was horrible!!!!!!! They were an hour late to pick me up. The guy that picked me up was extremely rude? I asked if the car had cruse control, he said "don't know" and just kept driving. I asked to get gas in the car because it was on E and the manager put "5/8" of a tank, didn't fill it up. The WORST part was the car was filthy. I found cooked rice in the back seat, snot on the rear view mirror, cigarette ashes all over, and fingernail clippings in the floor board, etc. I can go on about the customer service too.
