I've rented here before with no problems, and I had no problems picking up my rental this time. Now my returning the rental which should have been just a simple drop off and inspection turned complicated. Turns out the van that I returned wasn't the van I was suppose to have. The van I was suppose to have was still on the lot, and the van I had in my possession the staff had been searching the lot looking for this missing van which I had. LONG POST ALERT: The physical branch is usually always busy, but the team there is friendly and nice. However there seems to be a disconnect between the physical branches, the app, and the corporate call centers. It is VERY HARD to reach anyone at the local office when calling so I reached out to the call center to make an extension. I was told that I could pay for the due balance once the car was dropped off. (In the past, payment could have been taken over the phone and they charge the card on file.) However this did not happen and this caused my account to be "past due." So come to find out, they sent a demand letter out on the car and wanted to report it stolen because the call center office did not communicate with the branch that I was making extensions. Once I physically went into the branch, the helpful young lady told me that she honestly did not recommend using the app or the call centers. Apps are supposed to make things easier right? And even still, if that were not the case, why not just answer your own phones then. They haven't said this but I feel they have flagged my account and will not let me book anything else because of this misunderstanding. The manager Devin was being super shady when I brought the car back and asked these same questions. He was beating around the bush, withholding information and making promises he couldn't keep. I have loyalty points and my family frequently books with them. This whole situation is very disappointing. read more

The saga continues..... My insurance company contacted Enterprise to reserve a car for me, due to Hertz did not have any cars available. I contacted Enterprise for a pick up around 9 am to get a car, but that didn't happen...they were out of cars as well... disappointed. The agent I spoke with took my information and informed me she would contact me once a car comes available. Around 1 pm I called back, and the agent informed me that someone was dropping off a car then. I headed there with no hesitation at all. The guy that assisted me was very pleasant. I had to pay a $150 deposit for the vehicle....not so happy about that, but I was finally getting a car so YAYYY for me. Horrible and I mean horrible service and quality of cars. Extremely disorganized, cars are not up to other local Enterprise standards. I had a reservation and when I arrived a car was not ready it was at the shop for repairs. Gas tank was not full and the car smelled of smoke and it had a very heavy perfume smell. Car return was a nightmare... they are out of cars and I'm trying to return a car and no one will take my return. Most associates are standing around doing nothing. I strongly encourage others to use another Enterprise or another rental car agency this is a nightmare. Worse experience ever in Memphis with a car rental agency. They treat you like a criminal when you return the car. They give you a car that smells terrible and is junky and they act like your going to trash the car more. The first time i came here, it was a monday around 5pm and the line was INSANE. you have to sign in on a sign in chart and wait for your name to be called. the people inside the building are crammed like tuna fish around the area waiting. HOWEVER, they are SO FAST. very efficient, very friendly, and get the job done. The girl that helped me pick up my car, Jenna i think her name was (nice girl with long black hair) was speedy, efficient, and got to the point. I love it when businesses run like that! This is also probably the biggest enterprise in the city of memphis. They have ALOT of variety to choose from. I was re-directed here from 2 other enterprises in memphis that didnt have my full-sized standard car to rent. tsk tsk. but definitely go here if you need a car, and you like efficient employees! I rented a van directly from the Mt. Moriah Enterprise branch in an urgent situation. (We needed to get a carful of supplies to a childbirth in another state after our car broke down.) I told the clerk very clearly that I wanted to waive insurance since we're already doubly covered for car rental insurance, and that we declined pre-paid gas and other extras. He nodded and said Okay. When he gave us the price quote, he said, "I'm going to write a number for you," and showed us a price on paper. He never showed me the contract. When we went to return the car, the price they charged was about $400 higher than what Enterprise's web site had showed for a week's van rental. It turned out the clerk had maxed out the contract: insurance, prepaid gas, everything. The initials on the contract weren't even mine! This is fraud. When I objected, the clerk simply disappeared for a long time (mind you, I now have a screaming newborn in the car, and a stressed out family) and then said they'd refund half the difference. So he still made $200 on this scam. Lesson: Enterprise operates like a used car seller. Don't trust anything they tell you. Also, I don't understand the other reviewers here who say they got quick service. All three times I had to endure this location, we waited 45-60 minutes. read more

June 24, 2017. I rented a car from the Mt Moriah location in Memphis, TN. I have never been so disappointed in a rental with Enterprise. I received a car that was severely damaged on the inside. It had damaged seat belts, dirty carpets, highly stained seats and expired tags. During my trip I was even pulled over because the tags were expired. I have never seen a car like this from enterprise and am very sure the car was well below their standards. I really hope this car removed from their inventory. I just can't believe as a customer who uses Enterprise very often would received a car of this quality. This is so unacceptable read more

We were involved in a car accident last week. The insurance arranged for us to get a rental from Enterprise. To my surprise, they only had pickup trucks at all of their locations. My wife sustained a fractured sternum, so getting in and out of the truck was very painful. Needless to say, her ride home was quite uncomfortable. Couldn't believe that, in the entire city, there were NO cars available. I will not use this company again for my own rentals. read more

Enterprise consistently delivers the best customer service in the business. I have an older car, so I rent for long trips. I am recognized and treated like I matter, and it seems extra care is given in trying to make sure I get the right vehicle. The prices are right, and having the option of being picked up is a huge value added service. read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience with this company. If you do not buy the rental insurance make sure you check every single thing when you take the car out. Take plenty of pictures at every angle with the date. When you check the car in walk about and inspect the car with them even if they tell you not to. Do not let the drive the car around back to inspect it. I don't see myself renting a car with enterprise ever again. Horrible customer service. If you call the main office they either hang up on you or let it go to voice mail and ignore the calls. read more

I am highly disappointed in Enterprise Car Rentals. The atmosphere is rather prejudice. I have booked with them several and had noticed this. I brushed it off as a bad day. However, I continue to noticed that the diversity in this establishment lends its self to questioning the integrity of minorities. You have to show a bill and the conversations they have with people should be in private. I'm embarrassed for the customers and Enterprise. Today I was failed to be contacted that there were no cars that can be rented for my reservation. They offered nothing in return not even an apology. Keep in mind there are several Enterprise establishments that they could have accommodated me with. I would have waited. Upon leaving there were at least 6 cars for rental on the lot. I will no longer support this establishment and I will refuse rental services connected with my insurance if they choose to use Enterprise services as well. read more

I have always received great customer service from this local. I use Enterprise for work related travel. My only concern is that as a none smoker, I usually end up with vehicles that had smokers. They have gone out of their way to compensate me and to ensure that I have a good experience when using their vehicles. I am greeted warmly by all the representatives and they know my name. They take it seriously getting to know and acknowledging their customers. read more

As good as it gets. Fast, friendly, efficient, young and energetic. Neil has assembled a great staff, Morgan and Jenna are the best. Always engaged with their customers, volunteering upgrades and no excuses when they don't have what you reserved. These are professional people who apparently love what they are doing. Great rates, clean automobiles, with lots of selections. If they can't get it, you don't need it. Can't say enough good about them. read more
