There were 3 agents working for both avis and budget customers. The line had at least 25 customers deep the whole time I was there. Over an hour to get to agent only to find that the cars were not cleaned yet and would take another 30 minutes. Horrible way to start your trip. Enterprise, Alamo and thrifty line were much shorter. This is as much a review on the accuracy of priceline as well.

During pickup, I did a detailed walkaround and pointed out several areas of concern. The staff member seemed rushed and repeatedly said that "any damage under an inch would not be considered." The issues I noted were acknowledged and marked as known damage at pickup. I drove the vehicle directly from Montreal to Ottawa (a 2-hour trip with no incidents), stopping only briefly for gas. When I returned the car at the Ottawa Airport location that afternoon, the representative confirmed that several damages were already listed as "known," but then pointed out two small dents -- one on the roof and another near the windshield frame -- that I had not noticed. I took photos immediately, as advised. Two weeks later, I received an invoice from Enterprise claiming I had damaged the right front fender -- something that was never mentioned at drop-off. This completely contradicts what was observed and recorded by their own staff at the time of return. Given the short rental period (6 hours), the direct route, and the inconsistent information provided, I believe this damage claim is unfair and possibly misattributed. I've rented from Enterprise many times before, but this experience has seriously shaken my confidence in how fairly they handle post-rental inspections and claims. I strongly urge others to take detailed photos and videos at pickup and drop-off -- even if staff seem dismissive -- to protect yourself from questionable charges.

The car smelled horrible inside with cigarette smoke odor masked with some horrible deodorant. GPS was in French only so could not understand commands or any part of it. Upon arrival to destination, ignition key would not let us remove it so we were unable to get our luggage out of the trunk . It ran out the battery during the night . Eventually we found the secret way to remove it...by positioning of the front wheels...,who would have known? Had to find a store to buy jumper cables etc. Bad start to our trip. Upon our return to the airport...to return our car rental, we were met by Joshua who was a kind, friendly and professional associate who genuinely cared about our experience. He listened to our trials and offered us a $ rebate to help compensate us for our inconveniences on the trip.
