Had an unexpected booking rate issue due to my corporate account adding a mileage fee unexpectedly on a one way trip that blew away the final price and despite me being the one who missed it they worked hard to fix it as a courtesy between customers over the phone. I am so grateful for the excellent customer service my husband and I received from Sam Hall, the assistant branch manager at Millcreek, Utah branch. This past week, May 20, 2021, my partner had a cardiac arrest on a United flight flying from Los Angeles to Chicago. As emergency medical personnel and a Cardiac Physician's Assistant worked hard to resuscitate my husband, we made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City Utah. My partner, Mark Weinman was rushed in an ambulance to the Intermountain Medical Center where he spent time recovering from his heart attack. Mark was advised not to fly home as the blood clot in his right lung could easily move to his heart, ending his life immediately. We were both exhausted from the ordeal and desperate to get home. We had very little money left to rent a car, as we had spent a great deal of money on airline tickets, a nine-day hotel rental, and a rental car to attend my son's memorial. I called the Enterprise Rental Company in Millcreek, Utah as it was the closest Enterprise company near the hospital. I have always rented from Enterprise because of their excellent customer service and because they provide customer pick-up service. I spoke with Sam Hall, the assistant branch manager and explained our situation, and told him I needed to get Mark home as soon as possible. Sam listened attentively and realized the difficult and dire situation my husband and I were in. Mr. Hall was extremely supportive and made it possible for my husband and I to rent a one-way rental and picked us both up at the hospital. He arrived in a wonderfully, large, Chrysler Minivan that accommodated our luggage and my husband's oxygen tanks. Sam Hall was gracious and kind to us. I travel a great deal, and I know how difficult it is to rent a one-way rental this time of year. Waited at my auto repair place for over 20 minutes for Enterprise to pick me up. The shop ended up sending one of their employees to drive me to Enterprise instead. When we arrived at Enterprise they had no cars available and said it would be another 15 minutes. They apologized for not picking me up, explaining they had no cars available for pickups. I told them to pickup me up later and decided to take an Uber to work. Very disappointed. When you reserve a car they should have a car available for you. This review is from June 2017. read more

I have always been treated with kindness, respect and have seen nothing but professionalism. I was looking for a same day rental. I went to several rental companies. One prior to enterprise was hertz car rental. I waited for hertz representative or over 14 minutes before someone assisted me. Then I was informed that the inventory online is different from their inventory in stock so they sent me to a different location and gave me the wrong address. I finally found the Hertz car rental location and I was informed that I couldn't do a same-day rental with a debit card. I was highly upset because this process took over an hour and I was unsuccessful with getting any assistance and a car rental so that brought me to enterprise. I drove into the enterprise parking lot in Murray. As I got out of my car and enterprise representative walked out with a iPad and asked how he was able to assist me instantly. The checkout process was quick and easy I returned the car the day prior during after hours. I received an email invoice the very next morning. Then I called in today and was informed that my deposit should hit my account within 24 to 48 hours. From the time that I went to enterprise to the time that I turned in my rental even now I am very pleased with their customer service and therefore give them five stars. Way to Enterprise in Murray! I know that this review bucks the trend of negative reviews but I have to be honest, we had a good experience here. This is my second time renting here and both times were similar. Yes, they are very busy and they can't get to you right away. I think that the office is understaffed. But the people who are working, are working hard. I made my reservation online and they had my car ready to go when I arrived. I had to wait for them to get to me because there were others in front who did not have a reservation and were trying to get a car or resolve an issue. But I don't mind waiting when I see the employees trying hard to meet the customer's demands. I thought that two of the customers in front of me were rather demanding and I saw the employee behind the counter try hard to meet their demands. When they were slow to do so the customer would huff and roll their eyes. I'm glad I wasn't behind the counter because I'd offer to roll them back in place. So my advice is this, go online and make all the needed arrangements and be prepared to stand in line behind those who didn't. Don't blame the employees if they're working hard. I'll return to this location for rental needs. read more

I am rating 5/5 for their customer service! They were so welcoming when I got there to pick up my rental and they were super fast and efficient when I returned it. I loved that they listened to my question/concern about the deposit, and was able to help me out with that! I just think it speaks volume to me when people are helping one another out, especially over something so small and ESPECIALLY if they are a large corporate business. I came while they were pretty busy but nevertheless I was not very impressed with the service. When I walked in as opposed to being greeted and acknowledged I was completely ignored for some time until they had finished with all the phone calls and people in the lobby. Then when I tried to pick up my car the representative told me "you have an appointment at 4" (it was currently 1.) I asked if it would cost any more since it was a 24 hour rental period. He assured me that it would not then continued to look at me as if I didn't belong there. Then I asked if they had a car for me since we had already established that the cost would be the same. He said "no, that's why we make appointments" very condescendingly. Oh, that's why we make appointments, thanks a ton now I finally understand. Oakland and LAX enterprise locations have been awesome. The supposed manager was very likely committing fraud and trying to find any possible way to keep my security deposit by searching for any possible blemish or slight alteration in the geometric design of the vehicles doors! He actually crouched down to knee level looking for any possible way to stick me with some potential damage, very differently from his colleagues who just walked quickly around the vehicle looking for obvious damage! According to this warped persons point of view, a slight blemish that could hardly be considered a dent was the length of his handy dandy ruler with a hole the size of a ping pong ball! I could hardly even SEE what he was referring to, and it really didn't have any tell-tale signs of a real dent, like paint marks or the actual depth of a real dent, and if anything it appeared like something that could have occurred in a carwash or if someone had struck it with a soft baseball and had buffed it out by hand, leaving a barely seeable blemish in the reflection/texture of the paint, and a very slight change, if any in the shape, if it could ever be considered a dent! It very likely had occurred previously in the cleaning of cars surface by their employees or by some other means that he elected not to share with me! I also noticed that a majority of the rental clients could barely speak English and appeared to be using cash or other means to conduct business with this establishment! I feel that I was likely one of the people that was electing to use my own personal insurances to provide collision coverage to the rental car, and possibly triggered the idea to use me as a guinea pig to either repair some perceived damage that had occurred earlier by the establishment itself, or a previous client who likely paid cash for the perceived damage, and in this way by not reporting it as an incident earlier, to receive numerous claims on something that very possibly occurred previously! I intend to take this case to the full extent of the law and to publicize the shady practices of this establishment to all social media websites and fraud reporting organizations available! In short, I'm a long standing customer of the Enterprise rental car company for the last few decades and I'm very disappointed with your association with this facility in Murray, Utah! My son rented a car for me on his wedding rehersal day,we came across a situation where they wouldnt let me be primary driver if payment went on my sons credit card we offered several options, the MANAGER JASON NIELSON, was very rude, unprofessional,not willing to even listen or try to establish any form of customer service,we were running late to my sons rehersal dinner, the only reason we rented was because a young man recently hired was polite and apologetic. I will make sure that my large family in Salt Lake will never use this company if Jason is a product of their unprofessionalism, they need to re-evaluate their management hiring,he new we wre stressed, and did NOTHING but walk in his office and scowl at us read more

Came in for our reservation early to get the car and we were told that there is an extra 10 dollar a day for renting the car with a second driver. Are you kidding me. I am only doing it so we are safe. I rent in Cali all the time and in Utah since I come to visit family and never had this issue before! Called the cooperate they told me it's a policy they have had but it's up to the branch. They guy wanted make some money pushed the policy we only needed one driver but just to be safe at night we wanted to add a second driver guess it was a no go. Sad but it is what it is. The first car had mechanical problems and I was assured the other location would have one waiting for me. They did not. They finally found one with stained seats which smelled like cigarette smoke. Worst rental place I've EVER dealt with. I waited at the collision repair place for like 45 minutes although they said they'd be there waiting for me. Some kid finally gets there listening to Rick Ross, drives all aggressive and doesn't say a word. They also said I'd get a car about the same size as mine (I drive a new Genesis G80). When I got there, they said that truck is all we have. A huge red truck. I was frustrated but I said fine... I was already irritated at this point. They take me out and make me go thru it with a fine toothed comb like they wanna charge me for a ding and then asked me if anyone I know is looking to buy a car anytime soon??? THEN they said I'd have to pay a $50 "hold" which I was never told. Mind u, this was all because someone rear ended ME. They ran my card, something was wrong. I chat with my bank... nothing was wrong. They were gonna run my card again and at at THAT POINT say oh yea... we cant run it again twice in 24 hours because it was their policy, can someone else use their card?? No. Nobody can drop what they're doing at 5:30 and come to me. All I had was my debit or cash. I said why not say that in the first place? Then, I hear this man say to a lady over the phone that "for her inconvenience" they would waive the $50 hold and that they had a fully loaded Lariat or a Suburban or others to choose from. I said to another guy I thought u said that's all u had? He said oh for her, it was already reserved. I said no, he just told her it was for her inconvenience. Once upon a time my husband and I drove from SLC to Tucson, AZ and on the freeway a truck (somewhere to our right... we were not following someone too closely...) dropped a 2 foot long 4x4 onto the road, which flew into the front of the car. We couldn't tell which truck it had come from and were frankly just glad it hadn't come through the windshield. When we stopped, we inspected the car and were thankful that the only damage was to the [small upper] plastic grille. When we returned the car, I told them what had happened (because I think it's important to be honest...not to mention it wasn't our fault!) and waited for a call from Enterprise about the repair quote. In the meantime, I researched the cost of the grille on my own to see what I could expect, which was $175. I was glad to find this and remembering that this was the only damage I figured the labor shouldn't be much more since it was just a matter of taking the old plastic grille off and putting the new one on. Still no communication and about a week later I found a $500 charge on my credit card from Enterprise. 1. I do not appreciate there being no communication about the car repair and just charging my card. 2. I have an extra hard time swallowing this bill because WE DIDN'T CAUSE THE DAMAGE. And $500 is a LOT! 3. I feel like this was a huge mark-up! 4. Many times rental companies like this will have agreements with shops that do regular maintenance and repairs and this kind of thing wouldn't have costed Enterprise extra anyway. I don't know, however, if Enterprise has an agreement like this. I feel that the person footing the bill has a right to know how much she is being charged before she is charged and WHY such a minor repair was so expensive. read more

I have rented from this location many times and have never been disappointed. Our latest rental was no exception. I rented an intermediate car to drive to Vegas for our daughters wedding last Thursday. When we got there they were still cleaning the car we were suppose to get, so they just gave us an upgrade for the same price. They have never disappointed and have always been very friendly and have gone out of their way to make a great experience. If you are renting in the Salt Lake area and want a good car at a good rate, IMHO you cannot go wrong renting from these guys. read more

CAUTION!!!! Enterprise rental car in Murray Utah has some serious scam artists. We rented a car from them a week and a half ago, one of the employees did an inspection of damage and only noted a scratch on the back. As we returned it today the other employee Lydia came back in and said the bumper is cracked. It is completely unnoticeable to a person. Only she would know that was there prior to us renting it and since we didn't purchase there insurance they are trying to pin some previous damage on us. Lydia had a smirk on her face the whole time that we where trying to explain that this is previous damage her comment was "you signed for it already" so basically she is telling us your stuck with this now suckers! She was very unprofessional and when I mentioned that this is some overlooked damage that she is trying to pin on us she responded with "I am a girl scout" what does that have anything to do with this?? I will warn anyone I know, I have heard about car rental places doing stuff like this bit never thought enterprise was one of them! read more
