Wow! I desperately needed a car today as mine was not available. My insurance made and confirmed my reservation. I contacted the store and told them of my need. They said they would try help but neglected to say they close at noon today. I was hoping to get a car this afternoon and my expectations of getting a car today were dashed. Put me in a real bind! I am deeply disappointed! While I am required to use Enterprise by my insurance, I would not use them for my personal rentals nor would I recommend them. read more

This is a great place to rent a car. I went to this location because they had better reviews than other locations in the area, and it was a good choice. We rented a SUV for the day to take up to Dugway. I originally rented the Ford expedition, but they ended up giving us the 2019 Nissan Armada which seemed like an upgrade. It was just a hundred bucks and an extra 30$ for the damage waiver, which I highly recommend. We ended up blowing a tire out which didn't cost us anything extra. They were very fast, we were in and out within 10 minutes. And we were able to take care of everything on just a debit card. I put down $200 as a deposit, which was refunded to me the following day after the car was returned. Dropping the car off was a breeze, which took about five minutes. I think the prices are similar to the other rental places in the area, but the service here was outstanding. read more

A few weeks prior to a planned trip, my husband and I reserved a small SUV-size vehicle online through Enterprise. This location is very small, and when we arrived, we were greeted by Kaly. We informed her of our reservation, and after locating it, and asking some additional questions, she inquired, "So what sort of vehicle were you looking to rent today?" We both glanced at each other, puzzled, and I noted that we had reserved a small-ish SUV, the example being a Jeep. "Okay," she said, and took us out to the parking lot, directing us to a teeny Hyundai Hatchback. Ummm. What the heck was this? It was much smaller than what we've rented as a "standard" size car, let alone an SUV, and I told her so, again reiterating that we'd reserved an SUV. "Let me see what I can do," she responded, and we walked back inside. She proceeded to discuss this with her manager, who waved us off, and told her to "just give them the Jeep." He acted as though this were some sort of favor he deigned to provide us in his great graciousness. Fine. At least it was what we'd requested. I mentioned that I had a corporate discount code, and was told that had to be used when reserving your car. I contemplated saying we'd just cancel our original and make a new one, especially considering a reservation did not appear to mean anything anyways, but was already frustrated and really wanted to be done at this point, so we accepted it and left. And ya know what? That Jeep was the clunkiest, most unpleasant vehicle I have ever driven. Perhaps I cannot really blame Enterprise for Jeep's shortcomings, but then again, I would hope they would try to select nicer vehicles for their customers. We rent cars a couple times a year, and I was very unhappy with my experience at Enterprise. It felt like the modus operandi is to offer the crappiest car that still (VERY loosely) fits into the style reserved, and see if you will complain. I hate confrontation, but felt forced to say something, and that makes me very uncomfortable. Which is disappointing when you are spending at least several hundred dollars on a rental. Kaly really was nice, and seemed to want to help as best she could. I think the whole debacle was produced by Enterprise's sketchy policy. read more

I had the same problem! My car window was smashed out and my insurance company set up a reservation for a rental while my car was being serviced. However, it was 1:30 pm on a Saturday and Enterprise closed at noon on Saturday's and all day on Sundays. Therefore, I was left hanging the whole weekend! Very upsetting!!! read more

Rented a car, was told to pick up. Arrived and they didn't have the car on the lot for some reason even though they told me it was CONFIRMED. Called customer care, they sent me to the airport but they wouldn't let me book without a return flight itinerary. Not sure why enterprise wants to make so many false promises. Call customer care and they could care less. WHERES MY CAR I BOOKED AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE? Always used enterprise but not anymore! The service at this car rental location was outstanding! I got a call shortly before my trip to see if I needed a free pickup as they offer complimentary pickup within some radius (this was VERY helpful...and not something I had remembered to schedule on my own as I had other things on my mind). When I returned the car they helped me get an uber to the airport (they would have given me a lift if it had been someplace close). They also changed the bill in my favor when there was a misunderstanding about something. They were extremely helpful and I would highly recommend them! I have used Enterprise for years, and 90% of the time I am satisfied, but today I walked into the Midvale branch where I met "condescending" Chad. Chad treated me like I was a burden and I was less than other customers. When asking if they could honor the price I've had from another branch for over a month, his reply was that they can discount but don't discount unless they get low on inventory meaning they can but they would rather save a few bucks and screw the customer. I asked what a $10 difference was to them and he replies when people pay $150 per night it does make a difference. Keep in mind the other 3 branches I dealt with honored the same price for the same if not bigger and newer vehicles and had great customer service. The best part was I was working with James asking him questions and Chad just popped in teaming up on me. It was a disgusting excuse for customer service I've seen in a long while. Go to Enterprise just not this branch unless they revamp the managers and personnel. read more

My story, below, had a happy (and surprising) ending. While the Enterprise staff dealing with road-side assistance still deserve 1 star, I was pleasantly surprised how the local manager, and other Enterprise personnel took my complain seriously, and instead of empty apologies, actually took some action. They are redeemed, especially because of the "going the second mile" factor, that always appealed to me - as a customer service manager, myself. THE STORY THAT STARTED IT ALL. I rented a car for 3 days for a quick trip to a show in Las Vegas. Next morning I find out the "engine light" is on. I didn't want to drive back to Salt Lake City worried about the engine performance, so I exchanged the car at the airport, a 2 hour operation that made me 30 min late to the show. The replacement car had the tire pressure sign lit, but I was told it was because the tires were over-inflated by mistake. They deflated the tires back to normal, and even though the light was still on, I was told I would be ok. Halfway home (about mile 153 on I-15 north) I get a flat tire. Nobody's fault, these things happen. But that was when I got some extra surprises: the car had no spare tires, and no tools whatsoever. I called Enterprise Road Side Assistance and after transfers and long waits on hold, I was told that service would take 35-40 min. About one hour later I called them again. They tell me they are sending someone to change the tires and he will be there soon. I reminded them that there was no spare tire. They mention they needed to call roadside again and switch into a towing service. Another hour or so waiting in a sunny 105 degrees day, and the truck arrives. Their idea was to tow the car to the next city (Fillmore, 2 hours south of my home), and I could "walk away" because I paid for the additional coverage. I asked Enterprise how would I get home because on Sunday only Airport kiosks are open. The representative tells me with a straight voice: "You can take a taxi to the next airport for a new car". When I convinced her that hailing a cab on the middle of the road in a deserted stretch of freeway was not likely to happen, she gave me another stupid suggestion: "Can you spend the night in a hotel"? I looked around and there were only fields of alfalfa. Doesn't enterprise know that their clients have jobs and we can't just extend a vacation just because. Even if I stayed in a hotel, the problem continued. How do I get home next day? The hero of all this was AAA, the service that Enterprise uses. Dearden towing came to my rescue and between them and AAA they decided to tow the car to the place I rented, in my hometown. The driver of the towing truck even offered us to use the restroom in his house instead of a gas station. They deserve 10 stars for the great service. In the end, a trip of 6 hours (from Las Vegas to Salt Lake) took more than 11 uncomfortable hours. When Enterprise says "We pick you up", they surely mean "We let you down"! One star is to much for the service in Midvale, McCarran Airport, and their RoadSide Assistance hot line. read more

**If you've never rented a car before make sure you know the insurance price is a daily charge** I rented a car through enterprise because I THOUGHT it would be the most affordable option. Mark told me the insurance was only $38 but failed to mention the fact that would be added on for every day I had rented the vehicle. The price for my five day rental went from $209 and change all the way up to $449.70. Never renting from these shady con men again. read more

I want to give the Midvale location a huge shout out for going above and beyond to help me out with my rental. I rented a van for a trip to Vegas and when I arrived in Vegas my check engine light came on. Being a single mom and traveling alone with my kids I went into panic mode. I tried a couple locations in Vegas and nobody was willing to help me out. I called the Midvale location and explained to them what was going on and thank you to Wes and Tyler I was finally able to get my van switched out. I got treated TERRIBLE by a manager in Vegas and was losing all hope in Enterprise but these two changed my attitude and made me realize there are nice polite people in the world. I took a chevy suburban on sept 2nd.First of all it's a busy long weekend and the rates are high i requested mark and ben for any discount.They gave me big discount by waiving limted miles on vehicle which is very helpful as we went to yellowstone and they waived of underage and additional driver fee too as a gift. I came on labor day to drop the key but i couldn't find the dropbox so i came on next day to return car and said them i tried. Mark waived of for additional day too such a nice guy. Our car broke down Saturday June 4 th around 230 pm. We immediately called GEICO and arranged a tow truck. Around 245 we started calling Enterprise, first the one in Sandy, after being on hold for a bit, explained our situation and the agent claimed he couldn't hear although GEICO had no issues and we were parked at a gas station. Our call was disconnected, Everytime I called back we were hung up on. Called the Enterprise in the automall , explained our situation and was transferred to someone's voicemail. Called the Enterprise in midvale and again explained our situation to which the agent kept repeating " sir, we close in 5 minutes". I believe alot of us have had to stay late or go the extra mile for a customer, Enterprise , clearly does not, I've used them many times, but we will never again and we will make sure we tell everyone this story. So I guess the moral to the story is make sure your car breaks down before 1 pm on Saturday's so you don't inconvenience them read more

These guys are friendly and efficient. I've rented from this location multiple times and I have had an excellent experience every time. I drive by 3 or 4 other rental places on my way to Enterprise - I've had bad experiences with other places before, so now I only use Enterprise. If you join the preferred club you get specials via email that are better than any other internet/travel discount sites. I highly recommend Enterprise in Midvale, they genuinely care about their customers and they do whatever they can to insure they have a good experience. read more

I went through www.carrentals.com to book with Enterprise Rent A car as they were the cheapest for 3 days, then my truck broke down so I called Enterprise two days before I was to pick up the original rental car to see what the cost would be to rent for a week. The gentleman I spoke with said it is only $50 more total. I told him I thought that was a good deal. I hadn't 100% decided but I would call back.. I called back the following day to let Enterprise know I wanted to do the $50 more than my original price and a lady answered me at Enterprise and told me I would have to cancel my original booking and start over...that was going to be over $200 more than my original order. I decided to forget about it and went to pick up the car; when we went out to get the rental car, the gentleman told me that he would see me in a week; apparently the guy I called that first day had already changed my booking from 3 to 7 days and saved me a MINT of $$$$$. Enterprise made my day! I was ecstatic and very grateful. read more
