Yesterday I unfortunately had the great displeasure of encountering store manager Shargo Sarkar. My husband booked a same day rental for a sedan, upon arriving she greeted me and pulled up my information she then told me the class of car we booked was unable, to which I was understanding and asked what they did have. Shargo informed me that the only cars available were Chrysler Pacificas or a Honda pick up truck, she then informed me that there would be an additional fee. I asked her was that policy, because I'd never experienced this, in all my years of renting vehicles literally all over the world I have never been told that because a location does not have what I booked that I would need to upgrade the vehicle class and pay the difference. She then told me she would do it at a "discounted rate" which ultimately costed more than if I would've just booked a Chrysler Pacifica from the very beginning. At this point now that I've questioned her about normalcy and policy, she was displeased, dare I say annoyed. Being that this transaction was taking a bit longer than usual my mother in law came to accompany me, which after finding out the vehicle class dilemma asks the same question "oh wow, that's different... is that policy?" Shargo was not happy to hear this, she then (rolling her eyes and neck, eyebrow lifted, with displeasure on her face) tells my mother in law that if she would like to know the policy she can look on CHATGPT. My mother in law responds that she does not use chat gpt. Shargo begins to increase the volume of her voice, says she has print outs of policy throughout the store, to which we ask does she have this particular policy printed, to better understand why we were experiencing this up charge and being met with such hostility. Shargo then says she does not have THAT policy printed. My mother in law then goes back outside. I express to Shargo that my options are limited so I will just have to bite the bullet and pay the cost, to which she tells me "Actually you know what, I will not be renting to you, you can leave." Taken aback I say "I'm sorry excuse me? You will not be renting to me?" She says yes, that I have made her uncomfortable, that she "tried to be nice" and that I need to leave. I go to reach for a business card with her name on it, confirming that it is her, to which she replies "Yep! That's me, store manager." I have never had such an unpleasant and unprofessional experience with Enterprise and my husband and I use Enterprise pretty often. All of this was done in front of other customers, the experience was enough for me to decide that I will not be renting from this location again. Very disappointing, I hope that no first time customers have had to experience such treatment because it was enough for me to contemplate whether or not to use Enterprise in the future. read more

We booked a car for today, a compact car scheduled to be picked up at 4pm. Only to get there and have the Branch Manager Shargo Sarkar tell us that the car wasn't back from a previous rental and that we could take a van and pay more because of difference in class. When asked was this policy she replied, rolling her head with so much attitude, you can check chat gpt for that. I replied do you have anything to show me this is policy? Usually when a company is the cause of a situation they will in turn show great customer service and try to rectify the situation. Instead the Branch Manager Shargo Sarkar told my daughter she wasn't going to rent to her, she tried to be nice. This is so unacceptable, unprofessional I just couldn't believe that young lady, the Branch Manager was rolling her eyes and just being really rude about the whole situation. We rented a car from enterprise, They didn't show her how to used the most important features, she paid for satellite, it didn't work. I had to drive the car back to enterprise because the Sirius radio that was paid for wasn't working. Hunter, customer service rep at enterprise, not only did NOT want to help me, he threatened to take the car back because I wasn't listed as a driver. I had to give him my license to be added as a driver before he would turn on the satellite radio that was already paid for the previous day... read more

Don't rent from this location!!! Enterprise has ruined one too many vacations for my family. No matter how many months in advance you rent a car, they NEVER have your rental on time. Or at all. Yep. You aren't even safe if you reserve it months in advance. They will tell you they are sold out, and sorry for your luck. The staff is friendly, but they are unorganized. Worst Customer Service Ever. If I could give them zero stars I would. I see from reading others reviews, poor customer service is all this place knows how to give. I will not use Enterprise again. Even though I made my reservation days, yes days, in advance, Enterprise, of course, did not have my car. Then they were rude about the fact they did not have my vehicle ready. We just moved to Niles from out of state and had to rent a truck due to an accident. Adam and Ms. Erin were professional, knowledgeable and just plain kind during my rental experience. Could not be more pleased and grateful for them both. I am a long-time Avis guy, but will definitively be back at this Enterprise because of them. read more

Rented a car covered by insurance from Enterprise, had to pick it up in South Bend, since they couldn't commit on getting us a car. Only vehicle available was a large passenger van, and decided we wanted a smaller car and traded for a smaller one in Benton Harbor. Car smelled since it had been smoked in, also, noise under hood. Found the hood support rod bracket was broken and rod laid on engine making noise. Dropped car off last Friday, and attendant said there was no charge since insurance covered the rental. I was provided no paper since insurance covered the cost. A few days later found that Enterprise charge me $66 it showed it was South Bend. Called South Bend and they said Letish Easley did the charge in Benton Harbor. Today went to the Benton Harbor Enterprise and ask about the charge. They ask for paperwork which I did not have, and they thought it was strange that I didn't have any. They said South Bend made the charge and they couldn't do anything, which was a lie. I ask them to call South Bend and sort it out, and they said they wouldn't do that, that I had to resolve it! Also, ask what the charge was for and they didn't know. Very poor customer service !!! I did call South Bend and they continued to say Benton Harbor made this charge, but they would issue a credit. It should be pointed out that I NEVER signed for this bogus charge on my credit card. Also, I had another charge for $.01. Hopefully credit is in process. read more

WHERES THE OPTION FOR ZERO STARS?? HORRIBLE! Make sure you know what you are actually getting yourself into. They did not let me know all the details when I made a reservation a month ahead of time for MY WEDDING! I booked a car for pick up at noon, but I forgot my husband had to go to work early. So, I stopped by at 8 am and they told me no problem.
