Despite the situation being completely out of their control, the team at the Fulton Avenue Downtown location in Evansville went above and beyond to help. Alea and Oliviya worked every possible angle to find me a replacement. They located a van in Kentucky, personally went to pick it up after their store was supposed to close, and even cleaned it themselves so I could get on the road for my trip. I truly appreciate the level of customer service they showed. Their willingness to go the extra mile--literally and figuratively--did not go unnoticed. I would absolutely recommend the Fulton Downtown location every time.

The blonde lady upfront answered every single question and helped me to understand everything. Rented the hybrid jeep and thought it wasn't started back up, the man came down the road to me to help. They go above and beyond here and THATS HOW YOU KEEP CUSTOMERS! Thank you guys and I appreciate everything. I do have a car now, but I may be renting the jeep in the future in the summer. Now your detailing needs to be folding those seats down because they seem to rush but only takes two seconds.

Dustin Lyndsey is the manager that we spoke to who was unwilling to work with customers that he knows are being ripped off. We needed to turn our vehicle in before 11am on Sat to not be charged an additional day. Online website stated the company closed at 1pm. (See picture provided). We turned the vehicle in at 12:30pm, knowing we would be charged an additional day. However, the business had closed at 12pm and no one was there to accept the vehicle (see picture). There's a very unprofessional, half-hazardly placed piece of tape covering the "1pm" close time and has "12pm" written on it. Very convenient that you know a vehicle is due to be turned in today and you decide to close an hour early. Although this was concerning to us, we saw other Yelp reviews and figured the manager was a trustworthy person and would be able to work with us when he opened up again. We turned the vehicle in by leaving the keys in the drop box. Next thing we know, our debit card is charged over $500 by Monday morning! Families like ours that save their money to travel and visit family once a year don't have $500 laying around to pay off rental car companies with shady hours and management unwilling to acknowledge that there was an issue with the way they post their hours. Considering the overall experience we had with Dustin refusing to work with us, the lack of workers at the pick up location, and the loss of savings we just experienced, we will never use Hertz again and will make it a point to tell everyone about this horrible experience. We will be contacting higher Hertz management as well.

The person she spoke to ensured with our confirmed reservation she would make certain that she would inform the Evansville Avis about our later arrival and that someone would be available to get us our rental car. They would not leave until the last customer got their rental we were told. Well, our flight got in at 8:30pm on time and no one was at the Avis desk. Wife called again and they tried to see if there was another Avis in the area that was open. The staff at Enterprise in the next booth over said that they aren't coming back until tomorrow but we could check to see if any of the contracts on the wall were ours. Of course they weren't. My wife got tired of Avis and thankfully we got a full refund. We went to Enterprise who were able to assist us but at a cost of $200 over what we intended to pay for the original rental at Avis. We needed a car, and had to take the hit for the last minute rental. Not happy one bit with Avis. If you have a flight that gets in past 7pm, don't bother with Avis at Evansville. I'm also ticked that the National hotline said they'd help us out but it certainly doesn't look like they did anything. All I get from Avis now are a bunch of emails trying to get my business.

Before I turned in the vehicle I filled up the tank at the Marathon down the road from the airport. When I got my credit card bill I saw an $18.85 charge from Budget on the bill. I called Budget to inquire about the charge and was advised that fill up charge. I advised the representative that the car was full when I returned it and she immediately stated the charge would be removed without any hesitation. My sister warned me to look for this charge on my credit card. I wonder how many people don't recognize this charge and Budget gets away with overcharging people for gas. Budget do better!!!

    Had to rent a car after my sister's funeral to get back to PVD and rented one from this Budget. The…read morelady at the desk was nice but very unprofessional. On her cellphone with someone the whole time she was checking us in. She told us there was a crack in the windshield that was barely noticeable and was already in their records so we wouldn't be charged for it. My wife and I go out to inspect the car and find that the "crack" is mor like a baseball hit the window so I took a picture. The inside was absolutely disgusting, I mean it was filthy and it smelled awful. There were kids toys, a cup holder from a car seat and even silverware strewn about. We took pictures and I go back to tell the lady, who says there are no other cars and I need to take this one but she wrote everything in on my account and told me that she was unhappy about the car not being clean and that I wouldn't be charged. But was too busy eating to come out and look at the damages. Whatever we take the car to get home from work and arrive in PVD. When we drop the car off we tell the worker everything and we were, again, assured it's in the system and wouldn't get charged. Fast forward to almost a month later, the week before thanksgiving. I received a letter from Budget stating that I was going to be charged $584.00 for the broken windshield. I called them immediately and was told they were able to reverse the charge. Two days after that the money is taken out of my account. $584.00. A week before Thanksgiving. So now we're scrambling trying to figure out how we're going to pay our bills, as well as Thanksgiving dinner because of Budget. I took the liberty to attach the not noticeable "crack" as well as what the gentleman in PVD wrote on the windshield. Thanks guys, I'll never rent from you again and I will be telling all of my family and friends.
