I rented an SUV on Saturday, but unfortunately the original vehicle had been damaged after hitting a deer and was not reported until it was returned. Despite the situation being completely out of their control, the team at the Fulton Avenue Downtown location in Evansville went above and beyond to help. Alea and Oliviya worked every possible angle to find me a replacement. They located a van in Kentucky, personally went to pick it up after their store was supposed to close, and even cleaned it themselves so I could get on the road for my trip. I truly appreciate the level of customer service they showed. Their willingness to go the extra mile--literally and figuratively--did not go unnoticed. Don't listen to the negative reviews on here. Ask questions to them theyll help you and answer them. I never rented till last week and twice in a week. The blonde lady upfront answered every single question and helped me to understand everything. Rented the hybrid jeep and thought it wasn't started back up, the man came down the road to me to help. They go above and beyond here and THATS HOW YOU KEEP CUSTOMERS! Thank you guys and I appreciate everything. I do have a car now, but I may be renting the jeep in the future in the summer. I reserved a certain car that I wanted 4 days ahead of time that they told me I would be able to pick up when I got there but when I got there right before my trip to pick it up they told me they didn't have it and tried to push on me a car that was exactly what I didn't want. If you tell somebody that you have a certain car reserved for them then it should be there when we get there and if not at least offer better options. Horrible service now I have to last minute either find another car to rent or put miles on my own car because of this. read more

2-2017: another rental from this location. No complaints! I had a Mazda 3 and got 38 mpg for a round trip to Florida. Total cost was about $300 as I opted for the additional coverage in case of accident/downtime. Employees were friendly, professional, polite and efficient. I love it when people do their jobs well and quickly. Very satisfied! 2016:Rented a compact car for a week trip to Florida. The price was much cheaper here than the Enterprise at the airport in Evansville for the same vehicle (167 vs 380). I did add on the $18.99/ day coverage for downtime of the vehicle was wrecked, so the total was about 320. This location was busy during pickup and drop off. We rented a Tahoe for a road trip from Evansville to Southern California and returned home via the Northern Route. Loved the vehicle. The cost was reasonable. Only suggestion would be for Enterprise to service their vehicles prior to rentals that will cover a couple weeks, so that the renter does not have to spend vacation time getting an oil change/service. read more

The Evansville location on Division will charge you for the entire day on the waiver policy. It is their biggest upsell when renting. We had our rental 2 hours over the time and was charged the time until midnight. Then they blame the insurance co. We had to go wash the vehicle once it dried off from them washing it. You all need to step up your game on customer services and quit trying to upsell gas, wavier insurance and just be in the car rental business. read more

I rented a compact car one-way from Chattanooga Airport to Evansville, IN in order to buy a vehicle from Kenny Kent Toyota. Originally my instructions were to drop the car off at Evansville Airport Enterprise, but the nice folks at this location checked my car in instead which saved me a big hassle in getting it all the way up to the airport and getting a ride back to the dealership. We made a reservation over the phone and were told the wrong information about payment methods and deposits but the staff at this location were very helpful and got us going despite not having the right paperwork. My biggest complaint is the condition of the car we were given. It was dirty both inside and out and smelled of cigarette smoke. Really this was not acceptable but we had no choice as this location was very busy. They do have great rates but substandard quality. read more

Friendly staff and they were willing to pick me up even though I live out in the boondocks. They also had the best rate in town by a good amount. Only problem was the 30-45 minute wait for a vehicle when we got there as the place was busy. I did reserve days in advance, so not sure why a car wasn't ready the day I arrived. Might need to work on the logistics side of things if a customer advance reserves a vehicle and they still have to wait as if they were a walk-in customer. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Cars are clean. Appreciate the pick up and delivery service. They do need earlier and later hours and Sunday evening return would be helpful. I needed a 15 passenger van because my parents and relatives (who are elderly) wanted to make one last trip out to West Virginia. While I was worried that this non-typical request wouldn't have been able to been accommodated, the enterprise representative (Misty Waters) was very persistent and a pleasure to work with. I've heard some negative things and read the previous posts about some not so positive past experiences but Misty did everything in her power to answer all my questions and be the best customer service representative that-in my opinion-Enterprise Evansville has to offer. read more

Have rented from this location in Evansville, IN, for several years and have been very satisfied. Only had one car that warranted a complaint in all my rentals. They pick me up at home and that service is essential for me. Returning on Sunday is never a problem as I just drop off the car and drop the keys and lease agreement in the drop box. They always call me on Monday to tell me how much was charged to my credit card and they send me an email of the charges. They are busy most of the time and I do wish they had separate people to handle walk-ins and those with reservations. I used to manage a car rental business and know this is essential for good customer service and satisfaction. Good People! read more

I rented a car from this Enterprise on a Saturday and turned it in in Indianapolis. The car was fine, but the Enterprise in Evansville lost my payment. I paid with a debit card, and so I put in my PIN and saw that the transaction was approved. It even showed up on my bank statement as a pending payment, and I got an emailed receipt. However, Enterprise never accepted the payment. Then multiple people called me stating that they hadn't received payment the following week. After the first call on Monday, I called back and spoke with Autumn. When I explained that I had paid at the time I picked up the car, she said that I needed to call my bank to work things out, instead of Enterprise correcting their mistake. I was pretty upset, so she finally agreed to call their corporate office to see what the issue was (the issue was that they never accepted my payment even though it had been approved). Autumn said she would call me back the next day, but she never did. Two days after our initial call, I got a call from another Enterprise employee Lacey stating exactly the same thing! Apparently the people in-store don't talk to each other at all. I called back again, and I explained AGAIN what had happened. Finally I got to talk to Mitch, who was actually the person who had rented me the car on that Saturday morning. He didn't seem to have a good idea of what had happened. He asked for a credit card payment, but since they had already lost that payment for me once, I didn't think they were responsible enough to have it a second time. I got them a money order on the following Monday, and I had to ask and wait for a receipt. I have no confidence in this store's ability to manage money - be very careful with giving them a credit or debit card! Thankfully my bank was extremely helpful through this whole process, although they were also pretty convinced this was Enterprise's attempt to scam me. I'll never go back to this location, and I'd have to be pretty desperate to ever rent a car from Enterprise again. read more

I got my car, and unfortunately I was on a conference call that I HAD to be on, which I admit is incredibly rude while signing papers and so on. With that said, I apologized profusely to the associate helping me and honestly she could care less. My boyfriend and I both agreed she had a personality equivalent to a night light. While looking over the outside of the car, everything looked to be substantial, I signed the papers, we got in the car and started our journey to Chicago for our meetings. About 10 miles in, and after I hung up the phone, I noticed a very fowl odor. I can only remember from my college days what marijuana smells like, but the odor was so strong and coming from the trunk! My boyfriend immediately said- "Sure hope we don't get pulled over, because it would be hard to explain that smell" After that, i started looking around the inside of the car noticing all kinds of interesting details, blood stains, mud stains, water stains, all kinds of interesting things covered the seats and interior. I immediately called the Enterprise location and spoke with a very friendly Assistant manager who assured me not only would I not be charged for any "stains" or "odors"-that Enterprise doesn't even look inside their cars!. She also informed me that I was more than welcome to come back and trade out the car. While I appreciate that, we were already about 30 mins into our trip and it just wasn't convenient to drive all the way back and switch out cars. I am just SHOCKED this car is even rented out. When I say stains, I am talking HUGE stains, covering the interior. The backseat was insane, and I am glad no one was riding back there. In my experience of renting cars, this was the worst car I have ever rented, but again it was all cosmetic, other than that, we had fun making up stories and only dreaming what that car was used for. Which, I must say, made for interesting conversation. So two things, if you rent from Enterprise, LOOK INSIDE, and two, have a sense of humor :) read more
