Very disappointing. My father was in the hospital and I had to rent my vehicle for a period of over thirty (30) days. I explained this numerous times to the staff at Enterprise Rental Car (located in Roslyn on 1037 Northern Blvd). My mother and I attempted numerous times to pay them either with my credit card or hers to factor in that my father was dying. They wanted me to sign a contract with them after I rented a vehicle which extended past thirty (30) days. It seems the young man who works their Brenden did not have any power to help me when I explained the situation. Enterprise rental car called the police at the seventh (7th ) precinct to have me arrested. I returned the vehicle after a police officer named Investigator Gomez (978) 705-6206 herassed my mother. This company is very foolish. I rented a vehicle with them for a period of almost sixty (60) days. Because of one (1) misunderstanding they threatened to have me arrested. I used enterprise rent a car for about 2 weeks while my car was recovering at an auto body shop. I had reserved a small SUV a few days before my arrival and picked up a nice Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Car was in good condition and it felt very full service since they drove it out to me and then went over all the details of operation and damage walkthrough on the ipad. When returning, it was very smooth as well without any surprises. The staff also gave me a ride back to the auto shop to pick up my car. Good experience and I'd use them again. read more

I have rented at this location before and frankly it was not a great experience. Just yesterday I had to rent a car, my car was in the shop, and management must of made some changes. The representatives were helpful. Fast. Drove me back to the body shop today to pick up my car. Overall a great experience. Whatever they are doing now with their employees they need to keep doing. When I arrived I was told that the class of car was not available. The rep referred to the car as a "clown" car. All that was available was a Mercedes SUV at considerably higher rate. This is an update to our 9/29 review on Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Roslyn where my son received an erroneous charge of $133 on his credit card for rental car insurance, which he had cancelled on 9/14. Based on our Yelp reviews of 9/27 & 9/29, Customer Service for Enterprise at Care.com contacted us by email to request the Reservation or Rental Agreement number, which we gladly provided. The representative wrote that a manager was referred, who would help us resolve the problem. After that, there was no further communication from Customer Support at Enterprise. No emails from any manager or anybody. We assumed the gross human error had been corrected behind the scenes, but we were wrong. As of today, the charge has not yet been refunded on our son's credit card. We are disputing this charge and hope Enterprise will investigate and provide the refund. On 9/14, my son had been billed almost $200 ($192.87 to be exact) for rental car insurance that he inadvertently signed for, and that had been charged to his credit card. That is a legitimate charge and we are not disputing that charge. We are only disputing the bill for $133.81 for car insurance which had been cancelled on 9/14. After more than 2 months, Customer Support at Enterprise ignored us, and did not try to resolve the overcharge. If they cannot correct this simple problem, Enterprise at Roslyn will no longer have our business. At this point, we cannot in good conscience refer them to anybody. read more

Stay away they lie through their teeth at this dealership. I was promised a certain rate and refund and it was never given. The vehicle I was given I was told was front wheel drive and it ended up being rear wheel drive and I got stuck in the storm back in February. Rude and incompetent people stay away. read more

During the month of March, I needed a car rental while my car was in the body shop recovering from a battle it lost with a falling tree limb (see review of Haven Auto Body); my daughter needed a rental to replace her car which was stolen from her driveway; and a client needed a 6 month rental fir his dad. The level of cars supplied by Enterprise were only outdone by the service provided by the staff! The cars for each of us were current model, low mileage very well equipped vehicles with many safety and convenience features. Frank, the manager and Adrianna, the asst manager are the best. They are ably supported by a staff both knowledgeable and willing to help. Whether you need a rental paid by insurance or one that will be paid out of your own pocket you cannot find a better place than Enterprise in Roslyn on Northern Blvd. Best operation I have ever encountered! read more

Used this location to get a rental when I was in an accident, as my insurance company recommended them. Had a horrible experience that could have easily been avoided. First when they called me to pick up a rental, I asked them for a car that would be fully paid by my insurance. They said they had a Ford Fusion Hybrid. Car smelled like someone chain smoked for weeks in there and was dirty, but they didn't give me any more options. Plus last time I was in this situation, I was stuck with a minivan. Never once did they say I would be charged, over the phone or in person. Fast forward to when i get the bill, they tell me I owe $150 because insurance didn't cover 100% of the rental, as previously promised. Which is also odd since with the minivan a few months earlier, I didn't have to pay anything. Not sure why a Fusion is more than a minivan. The first Enterprise rep said he was going to have the woman that checked out my rental call me back. That never happened. So I wait a couple weeks since the charge never hit, assuming they decided to do the right thing and waive the fee. Then I get hit with a $154 charge without any phone call. So I call and speak to Sydney and he tells me he was having the manager look into this and even checking the phone record of when the rep called me and recommended the Fusion. I said ok fine please call me back and let me know what happens. Sure enough, no one calls me back. So a week later I call Sydney again and he tells me the manager (Nick) is still reviewing my situation. I asked to speak with him. Nick gets on phone and tells me he has no idea who I am and what my situation is. But was very nice on the phone and promised he would see what he could do and call me back. And guess what, it's been almost 2 weeks and no one has called me back! For someone that used to work in customer service, I am very disappointed at the lack of caring and responsiveness put forth here for someone that feels like they were taken advantage of. Rental Agreement 8235YB. On 12/23/19 I needed a rental due to my vehicle breaking down. I went to the Roslyn location. I was greeted by Nick. He asked me what kind of vehicle I would like. I asked for the smallest least expensive one that he has. He informed me all he had was a Land Rover which rents for $125/day + tax. I didn't have a choice since I needed a vehicle to get to work. Why ask what I want if all you have is 1 vehicle? Due to being in a rush, I forgot to inform him of my Corporate Code ( XZ24484). I called customer service since it was after 6pm, and I was told the location itself has to input code. On 12/24/19 I called Roslyn and spoke with Sydney. I informed him I had a corporate code, but he informed me that can only be applied when vehicle is picked up. Not satisfied I called customer service again. I was told by the lady that answered that there was a code on my rental for East Hills Jeep (where my vehicle was being serviced). She was going to email the location and ask them to honor whichever code gave me the greater savings. I returned the vehicle on 12/26/19 for a bill totaling $452.34. This bill did not reflect any discount. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have had an issue with a discount code at Enterprise. My company (Verizon) offers codes for other car rental competitors. Enterprise has always been my go-to choice, but I'm getting frustrated with this situation. I emailed Enterprise through their website on 12/26/19. A week went by without a reply. I sent a message through their Twitter page on 1/2/2020. I received a reply from the Twitter page letting me know my complaint would be forwarded to an area manager who would contact me. As of 1/8/2020 I had not been contacted to resolve this issue. Since the Twitter page had originally responded, I informed that page that if I am not contacted by 1/10/2020 I would post these public complaints. I received a reply asking me to be patient and someone would contact me. It is the end of business on 1/10/2020. It has been over 2 weeks. Enterprise Car Rental has demonstrated to me that they do not care to resolve issues with their customers, and that they do not hold up their end of the agreement as far as honoring corporate discount codes. My insurance recommended this location after I was in an accident. On top of the car they gave me being terrible, they lied to me about the price. When I returned the car over the weekend, I explained that the car rental was more than I was told, and the woman behind the counter told me that she wouldn't charge me and that she would ask the manager to call me on Monday. Not only did the manager NOT call me on Monday, but he went ahead and charged my credit card, which they had on file, without my consent. Using this location was a bad experience from start to finish, and if you are able to go somewhere else, I highly recommend that you do!! read more

This particular Enterprise is the best around! & thats largely because of the store manager, Nick. I was introduced to him years ago because I walked in looking to resolve a problem I had with an online RSVP. He resolved that issue quickly and since then I've gone out of my way to book my cars through him. (I have, over the last 2-3 years walked in to 2 other locations that I found closer to my home, but neither were as helpful or knowledgeable as Nick.) So now I go more then a 1/2 hour out of my way to ensure I see Nick (or 1 of his immediate coworkers.) If you've ever had a bad experience renting a car, or if you're thinking of renting 1 for the first time I strongly recommend the Roslyn location, & Nick specifically. read more

The BEST rent-a-car place on Long Island. This is the best customer service I have ever had with a rent a car place. Nick was the most outstanding customer service representative from Enterprise in Roslyn. Do you need to rent a car? Go to Roslyn Enterprise, and ask for Nick. I was in and out of there within 10 minutes. I'm not kidding...10 minutes signing papers and him showing me the car. Also, the car had a full tank of gas when I got it. Was told the manager was going to call me about the amount my bill came to before they charged my card because it was more then i remember agreeing t. Three times I was told I was going to get a call and didn't receive one. I looked at my credit card statement and saw the charge. Apparently they don't value customer service. I needed to rent a vehicle quickly as my car died and chose Enterprise as I had dealt with them in the past but not at this location - it was a Saturday and they were open to 1 pm which was an hour later then all the other car rental places I checked -otherwise I would not have been able to get a car that day. I called them and arranged to pick up a car and I was taken care of by Nick who had the car ready and made the paperwork process quick and efficient and I had the car a Nissan Sentra within 15 minutes. I needed the car for an extra week, called to let him know and no issue. I was very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend this location and company. read more

I WOULD ASSIGN MINUS ZERO STARS IF I COULD ! STAY AWAY---FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY---FROM THIS RENTAL AGENCY! We were lied to and cheated, TWICE. WEEKS before a May trip to pick up our son at college, we reserved a Chevy Tahoe or SIMILARLY SIZED vehicle. We were given a guarantee that we would get this vehicle. On the afternoon before our trip date, we got a call from this office asking us if we had reserved this car. Saying that we did, I asked why was this a question? Because thy could" not guarantee this vehicle for tomorrow and likely cannot get one". What's worse, NO ARRANGEMENTS were made by these amateurs before making this call. They palmed off a Minivan to us---for a lesser price---or so they PROMISED. They RELUCTANLY let us take it that evening because I had less than zero trust that ANY vehicle would be ready the following morning. THEY ACTED LIKE IT WAS A MAJOR CONCESSION TO CHARGEUS A LESSER PRICE FOR A SMALLER VEHICLE. We were given the price concession requested. TODAY: We just got a bill for over SEVEN yes: SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ! Not only were we misled and misled, we were misled and misled a well as improperly served, TWICE. I have been a 20-year ERAC customer NO MORE. I ran ERA rental programs for a company and used their services as much as 15 times -plus a year. NO MORE. And now, they are not only getting a Small Claims lawsuit, I am also swearing out an arrest warrant for Larceny---not joking. AT ALL COSTS, avoid this company and branch completely. I rent cars from this location on a frequent basis. At least twice a month and each time the service is even better than the prior. I am greeted by almost all the staff when I walk in and they assist me within seconds. In fact, the asst manager, Rhem is always on hand to help me and is very accommodating. After a recent car accident I used Enterprise in Roslyn at the suggestion of my insurance company and body shop and will never use them again. They brought a car to the body shop which was convenient, but I had asked for a car comparable in size to my Toyota Highlander and they brought me a huge truck. When I declined to take that car and got in it to go back to the rental shop with the agent I saw that it was completely disgusting. Dirty outside and inside. Not just the usual pet hairs that shouldn't be there but completely filthy. Which I told the agent without much response. The alternate car they gave me was at least clean on the outside but clearly only very quickly vacuumed on the inside. They re-vacuumed it when I said something but the dash was dirty and the trunk floor was covered in sand. Mind you this was in January!! I left with the car because I had one of my kids home sick from school and didn't feel like spending more time there. When I took it to the gas station to vacuum out the trunk myself I found a half eaten dog biscuit and supermarket flyer at the back of the trunk! And then spent more time cleaning the dash board/ cup holder etc once I got home. We complained to management when they followed up with a phone call and did not ever receive the promised complementary triple upgrade. For all the people they had working in the shop they could at least make sure they are providing customers with clean cars. I will most certainly never use them again. read more
