It seems the car also doesn't get inspected well because before we left the car to drop it off, we saw a dirty skirt stuffed next to the backseat and a random metal shoe horn!! As such, we also weren't even instructed on returning the car with a full tank of gas so we didn't. For each little issue, I remove a star. You could tell it's not cleaned fully or wiped even when you get in the car. The touch screen had so many fingerprints on it. At least there's little debris on the carpet so it seems to have been vacuumed.

There were no other standard SUVs available, so they kindly upgraded me to a 2023 BMW X1! How cool is that?! I've never been much of a BMW guy and have always kind of scoffed at BMW/Mercedes white SUVs for whatever reason, but I really loved the style, comfort, and performance! Unfortunately, while driving up in Massachusetts, I got a flat tire on my second day into the trip. Turns out it was a nail in the side, so the local Firestone recommended I go to the nearest Enterprise for an easy car swap. It was honestly super easy indeed! They swapped it out, no questions asked, and I made my way home in a beautiful, powerful, and fully equipped 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Gotta love the customer service! I arrived 15 minutes early for the 9 am rental and was told that they were working on getting my vehicle. Over the following 90 minutes I was assured that they were "making phone calls" to arrange for my vehicle, and was offered a van instead of the SUV. I reserved. When I accepted the van, Jerry told me that the van was unavailable due to damage. At 10:30, I advised Jerry, the assistant manager, that he could cancel my reservation and I went to another rental agency where I received a vehicle in 15 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this agency for any car rental business you might have. As I was leaving, I received a cursory and somewhat rude " sorry about that." of course, the Uber ride I needed to take to the other agency was on my own dime, and the 90 minutes I wasted is time I'll never get back, and our trip was delayed as a result. One time I left a message confirming the vehicle and the other time the voicemail was full. The day after my calls, I received the second of two emails with confirmation numbers on them. I arrived as planned and NO VEHICLE. The staff was not only rude, but did nothing to apologize or try to get me another vehicle with someone else. They blamed me for not confirming the vehicle. I finally left after pleading my case for 15 minutes. I played the voicemail I received and showed them the two calls. I returned to them I can see they were getting aggravated with me once I told them it's all on tape. They were directed to stop talking by one of the workers behind the desk. In short, I was told that two email confirmations with confirmation numbers doesn't mean anything because it didn't come from a phone call. HELLO?!?!?! THIS IS 2025! Unbelievable. The manager rudely and abruptly said "It's not how we operate" when I tried to explain that it should not have allowed me to book the reservation online if the car was not available. I told him that I was not going to pay more money for another car when he demanded that I do. As a woman, I felt threatened and uncomfortable. Sean another employee asked for my driver's license and shouted your license has expired, I corrected him that it will expire in 5 days and I had already renewed and waiting to receive it in the mail. I dealt with this supervisor in the past and he was always respectful because other employees were Caucasians, he knew to behave civilly but today his true color came out, he felt comfortable because there were two other black men like himself working there when I came that's why the treatment was different. I then had to wait for the cleaners to clean the vehicle the second time in two days. After the cleaning crew finished I inspected the vehicle again only to find the back of the vehicle was covered in dog hair, and there was trash behind the seats . at that point, it was just ridiculous and a waste of my time. We got on the road late and there was no need for them to not have been diligent in the cleaning of their vehicles.
