I went to Salisbury location at 8:30 AM and was told that they didn't have anything to switch out. Called Hertz and they sent me to Firestone to have it fixed. I spent most of the day trying to get their broken car fixed. Long story short they never authorized the new tires. So now they are going to have to come and tow it away. Meanwhile I missed a funeral viewing for the last of my father's siblings I wouldn't have flown to Maryland if I didn't have things that needed to be taken care of. I will never use that worthless company again. Horrible customer service. Beware stay away from them.

They are appropriately staffed with 1-2 people. While they are the happiest lot, they are courteous and professional, and get you in and out quickly. There's no need for a shuttle bus as the cars are in a lot just to the right as you exit the terminal. Being a small operation, there's no pre-assigned group of cars for Gold members, but you're in and out so quickly it doesn't really matter.

But, then I was refused my rental as I do not own a major credit card in my name and they refuse to take debit card or cash even if I agreed to double the deposit. I had to cancel thru Priceline who wanted to say my reservation was non refundable! After a few hours of phone calls while sitting in the airport I was refused a refund at first by Priceline. Once I negotiated a refund. I approached Enterprise. Much easier to work with and very upset she had nothing till tomorrow. Enjoyed the driving of the Nissan Versa immensely! N Salisbury location…read more By far the worst rental car experience I have ever had. I'm currently dealing with the aftermath of a car accident that was caused by someone else, and the at-fault driver's insurance company arranged my rental through Enterprise. An already stressful situation has been made significantly worse by having to deal with one problem after another with these rental vehicles. I do want to make it clear that everyone I have spoken with at the Salisbury location has been very friendly and pleasant to deal with. My frustration is not with how I have personally been treated by the employees -- it is with the condition and quality of the vehicles I have been given. After only a couple of days with the first vehicle, an alert began appearing that apparently indicated an issue with the battery. On top of that, the entire vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke. And if that doesn't say enough about how thoroughly the vehicle was cleaned before being rented to me, there was still a cigarette lighter left in the passenger-side door from the previous renter. I will also give Enterprise credit for coming to my workplace and exchanging that vehicle for another rental, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the replacement vehicle is somehow worse. The interior was not properly cleaned and has an extremely strong body odor smell that seems to be embedded in the fabric seats. The smell is so bad that it appears someone tried to cover it up by putting an air freshener directly into the air vent rather than actually addressing the condition of the vehicle. Even more concerning, the speedometer is displaying kilometers per hour instead of miles per hour. I am driving in the United States and have no clear indication of how fast I am actually traveling in MPH. I should not have to worry about doing conversions while driving or potentially receiving a speeding ticket because a rental vehicle was handed over to me without the basic settings being appropriate for use here. At this point, I cannot wait to get my own vehicle back from the collision center. Being in an accident that I did not cause and dealing with repairs and insurance is stressful enough without being given one problematic rental vehicle after another. I am extremely disappointed with the condition and quality of both vehicles I have received from this Enterprise location. One smelled like cigarette smoke and still had a lighter from the previous renter inside of it; the other smells so strongly of body odor that an air freshener appears to have been shoved into the vent to mask it. That is completely unacceptable. Again, the people I have interacted with have been friendly, and I appreciate that. Unfortunately, friendly customer service does not make up for receiving two rental vehicles in a row that clearly should have been inspected and properly cleaned before being handed over to another customer. I would never voluntarily use Enterprise again after this experience. The only reason I am using them now is because the insurance company for the person who hit me directed me to Enterprise for the rental. For a company whose entire business is providing people with clean, reliable vehicles, I expected much better -- especially basic cleanliness, proper vehicle operation, and a car that allows me to clearly see how fast I am driving.
