From the start of my rental process the team was amazing! We got in around midnight so we were tired from traveling all day. We were greeted by a sympathetic team member Gerry (Jerry) sorry didn't catch the spelling, who helped my wife and I get situated and was awesome BTW. I had left my phone, unbeknownst to me, at the welcome booth and was looking all over for it while we were waiting to exit and another team member(sry didn't catch his name) ran it over to us and did so with a smile. Really felt like it was above and beyond as they were busy with other customers. Upon returning the car, Jasmine, Jeff, Tyler and another man that I didn't catch the name of, were courteous, helpful and again going above and beyond, helped me with the second leg of my journey. For a work portion I had rented a different level car (cheaper for my company). I asked how much it would be to keep the car I currently had. I was told that they would allow me to use the current car at the price I had agreed to for the lower model. It's probably not a big deal to them, but not having to move all of our stuff and keeping the car that we were enjoying made a huge impact on us. Thanks SAT team. You did a phenomenal job. read more

Love, Love, LOVE that the car rentals are ON SITE at SAT airport! That's right, of all our Texas flights, this was the only one that didn't require a bus & my appreciation of that can't be put into words. I had a free rental day from points, leaving me a balance of $10 & some change. On check-in, (which I couldn't do online this time for some reason), the friendly agent confirmed the free day, amount in taxes, rental times, car type & insurance info. Driver's license & credit card on file, no additional deposit charged. I booked directly with enterprise online. We headed to the lot & were directed to our car with the keys inside, proceeded to the gate where the id was checked and we were on our way - total 10min. The car was as expected... actually, scratch that. We weren't expecting heated seats & were greeted with a toasty surprise when we hopped in on this uncharacteristically chilly day in TX. Return signage was clear & it was easy to navigate. It was the first time we've had the car inspected with reflective disks on return to check for hidden hood dings.. Well I booked a car for San Antonio, I picked up at airport. When I went to get the car they charged me $400. Extra for deposit because I booked w 3 rd party Expedia! Total price for this rental was over $700 n that after I returned my car they will refund my $400 , I didn't expect that kind of charges ??? Would not recommend this company. They advertise low pricing, but then charge a bunch of additional fees on top. Customer service is very rude. Ended up getting charged an additional few hundred dollars on top of what I booked it for and whenever we were trying to drop the vehicle off for my sister-in-law, they made my fiancé cry because they were being so aggressive would pay a little extra upfront just to go with a more reputable company. read more

Had used Enterprise when our car was in a collision and it was great, so when our newer car had elect issues (Friday AM), and was towed to dealer, we called Enterprise for a rental. Dealer couldn't even look at our car till Monday. We are handicapped, and one of us is an active cancer patient. Having reliable transportation is paramount. We were promised a vehicle at our home by 9:30AM Saturday. No show. No communication, text or email. Not answering phones at agency. We called other agencies desperate for help, they called our provider on a direct line and said they were there. We asked the new agency to help, but they were not interested in helping us - in fact hung up on us when we started begging for help. The original agency had turned off their phone system to the public, then turned it back on when they closed at mid day Saturday. We NEVER heard from them. We ended up doing cartwheels and magic to find a way out of our dilemna. Enterprise will never be considered again. When I see commercials saying how much they care, it makes me sick. read more

If I could give negative stars I would!! This situation that occurred on 9/8/2025 at the San Antonio airport enterprise desk! I was told by roadside assistance to bring in my rental to swap it due to me noticing that the undercarriage of the vehicle was attached by zip ties and shoe strings! Due to this the undercarriage started to drag on the ground and kick up debris under the rental! I called into customer service and they advised me to take the vehicle to the only open location which was this location and I'd be able to exchange it without any issues. Upon arriving I spoke with Danny who advised me that he would not trade out the vehicle if I did not do a collision claim! I was not in a collision and explained to him that I was told to come there and it was notated on the account! He went to check to see only if the vehicle was noted for prior damage but stated that there was none! The vehicle is a Hyundai sonata and is extremely low to the ground! So unless the team at the enterprise got up under the vehicle for a full inspection there was no way to see that! Even on my walkthrough with the associate this was not something that he nor myself would have been able to see. The only option he (Danny) gave at this point was to take it back to the original location on summit church road the following morning, which I explained to him was dangerous due to me having to get back on the highway with the vehicle and risk more debris entering and possible damage that was 100% preventable! I also had my two children with me which was why I was so emotional because they were being put in an unsafe situation not once BUT TWICE! The roadside assistance was very clear to swap out the vehicle and upon arriving at the airport there were Tire spikes upon entering! There was no way to get around that further complicating my issue! After realizing that Danny would absolutely not swap out the car as roadside assistance requested, I kindly but firmly asked him to please notate the account so that it shows that I stopped by and attempted to resolve the issue! He stated that he would notate the account but quickly walked away to assist another customer and left me to drive back to my home. Upon exiting the garage I was extremely upset to the point of uncontrollable tears and the lady at the exit was kind enough to try and help. Unfortunately they advised her the same information they told me that they would not swap the vehicle and she apologized and quickly shifted gears to try and calm me down as she did not want me driving late at night visibly upset with two young kids. She talked to me to calm me down and repeatedly apologized for the outcome of the solution but was also upset with the outcome as well. I truly appreciate her being so kind while I was in distress due to this situation! She would not let me leave until she knew I was okay and safe to drive home. She gave me the contact information to report this incident. In am extremely upset at how this was handled and still as of today 9/20/2025 I have yet to be responded to by a manager even after sending a direct email to the manager. They have taken no steps to resolve this matter and I would strongly advise against using their services! The summit church location was very helpful in getting me into a new rental and I'd recommend using that location if possible! read more

This was, without doubt the easiest rental experience I've ever had. We had no problem showing up to the counter at the airport to show our reservation & the employee told us our car was already waiting for us outside. Sure enough, there it was. Didn't have to look around or anything. Just right out front. We checked out of the parking lot without any trouble and was helped by yet another incredibly friendly and helpful employee. When checking our car back in, signs were well placed to get us right where we needed to be and the second we pulled up, an employee met us to go through everything and had us checked out within less than 5 minutes. While my wife took care of that, I unloaded the car and then we were on our way into the airport. I really can't sing the praises enough. This is how all car rental experiences should be. I don't know why every other rental experience I've had (some with Enterprise) has been a struggle. read more

Rented a Nissan Armada from Enterprise at the San Antonio Airport for my daughters Basic Military Training graduation. The vehicle was mechanically sound but it was infested with small ant-like bugs that bit my wife multiple times and several other passengers were bitten also but more bugs. This was a crazy experience and when we reported it to the representative she assured me a manager would follow up with us. Amanda Carr, Manager Assistant did email me once but has not returned any of my emails since. My wife still has inflamed rings around these painful bites. I've been using ERAC for years and have loved their easy and fast process, BUT, today was a disaster. I booked my reservation online. I did not receive any notification or Terms of Policy changes. When I arrived at the usual location to pick up the rental, I was told I needed a major credit card. In the past I have always used my debit card to secure a rental; a deposit of $250 was placed on the card and upon return of the vehicle the deposit was released and the total charged. If I had known about the updates to their Terms of Policy I could have saved time, and been able to find another company to rent from. They have a shuttle waiting directly outside of the arrival doors. I was immediate assisted on by the bus driver (he grabbed my bag and loaded it for me) onto he shuttle. 5 min ride and I was at Enterprise. Got in line, checked in, swiped my card and walked outside to pick my car. It literally took me 10 min to get into my car and drive off. Upon return it was also very easy to drop my rental off. Signs and employees are there to direct you and get you on your way. Took 15 min to drop the car off, ride the shuttle and be at my gate checking in. Again, the bus driver helped me with my bag and I didn't even ask. When I got off the shuttle he grabbed it again and took it to the curb for me. He even pulled out the handle! Lol. Made me feel like I was VIP or something. Hahaha. Only negative was the car wasn't very clean inside. Had some stains on the backseat and cup holders were nasty. I have always used Enterprise company for everywhere I travelled. I'm a bit surprised for 3 stars at this location because I had excellent service here. I came in around 7/8pm on Tuesday evening, I had encountered with wonderful lady named Frances. It was very quick 5-10mins checked in. She made sure I received the car I requested and approached my another worker at the parking area and she was very pleasant. My husband and I rented the car about 4 days and when we returned the car, a gentleman named Miguel was very welcoming. He greeted us, asked how everything went and did not rush us a bit. I flew into town for an interview and business. I needed a rental car, so I went with Enterprise. I've been a long-time customer with Enterprise, and they've always taken care of me well. I had a hunch that this location would be no different. And I was right. When I made the reservation a few months before, I was told that I'd get an SUV or something similar. Since they didn't have SUVs when I flew in, they hooked me up with a truck. The worker at the font desk was friendly, and got me squared away fast. I walked out to the kiosk, and the worker there showed me to my car and took care of the final details. When my time in San Antonio was over, I simply drove to the drop-off lot. I didn't have to wait around, I just had to leave the keys in the ignition, and I took the shuttle to the airport terminal. In my almost 25 years of travel and rental car rental, Enterprise at the San Antonio airport was the worst experience ever... and that is saying a lot considering some of the places i have had to travel. Total check in and turn around on getting my car took longer than it did to check a bag in Dallas, eat lunch and fly into San Antonio!! Counter was unmanned. Kiosk was broken. And when I finally got someone to get me checked in (after calling their corporate line), was advised they would "get me a car as soon as possible"... despite already waiting for over an hour and my pick up time being an hour past do. This place is terrible!! It is a terrible place to rent a car from, when you try to reach someone live at the location no one answers the phone. I spoke to the manager at one point about a charge on my credit card that was unauthorized and should be paid by the dealership. He said he would take care of the problem, but he never did. The unauthorized charge was on my card for over a month and they placed me on hold for over an hour when I tried to find out why they had not credited my account. I go to this specific rental counter to rent a car from them, without any explanation or info as to why, I get a car from a totally different rental company. The customer service was wonderful, the car was nice and clean, and the price was right! $30 a day for unlimited mileage and the price included the tax? HECK YES. Rented a car on-line from Enterprise this Saturday. When i got to the location the person behind the counter informed me the location only has two cars at that time. He was using one and the other was committed to someone in route and he promised would be there when she got there. This was a 5:00 and the location was closing at 5:30. He also mumbled under his breath to the effect that he was tired of cars rented cheaply on the website. He referred me to another location. I asked that he call to confirm they had a car because it closed in 20 minutes and was roughly 20 minutes away. That location did not answer. By this time it was 5:30 and clearly no one else was coming for the car. Clearly the other person wasn't coming, and I suggested I'd Just wait to see if they showed. His story changed to he had 20 reservations for Monday morning and he would not lease the car he had. I was calm up to that point, but I'll admit to being frustrated and a little belligerent at that point. I was frustrated at having to drive across town because he was clearly too lazy to help me a few minutes before they closed. I don't understand how my business was somehow less important than ONE of the TWENTY reservations set for Monday. Assuming he wasn't just lying about the car being committed in the first place. But I was leaving without service just the same nonetheless. As I'm walking out the door the employee behind the counter I was dealing with shouts "try not to make a last minute reservation next time!" So, make sure next time you decide to make a reservation with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to call the actual location. Clearly the individual locations have discretion to ignore reservations made on-line. read more

If you are an 'in town' renter, not flying in, you can park on the same lot as you rent from so this is helpful, and only $6 a day for uncovered. So you can park, then walk to the rental office and get your car. (The shuttle is good about watching for you so you might even ride to the rental office, though it is only about 100 yards) Their costumer service is good, the only thing to watch for is the high cost of gas if they refill when you bring it back. BTW you can buy just a half tank and return as near half full as possible. Just fyi. read more
