This Enterprise surprised me in the best way. The lobby is small and clean, nothing fancy, but the welcome was legit. A real greeting instead of the usual "wait over there and hope" routine most rental counters lean on. Nial at the front desk set the tone right away. He walked us through every coverage, upgrade, and option with total clarity, and the way he explained things actually made the process easier instead of overwhelming. No confusion. No rushed vibe. Just someone who knows the system and communicates it well. Jessica who walked us to the Ford Escape kept the same energy. Friendly, patient, and focused on making sure everything was squared away before we pulled out of the lot. You can tell the team here takes pride in doing things correctly. Pickup and return were both smooth. No weird surprises. They even gave us a moment to gather our things at drop off, which matters when you are juggling luggage and wedding clothes. Getting here note for travelers: The address is 1600 Mission, which is not located at the Sixteenth and Mission BART station. If you are coming from SFO, you will need the train, then the bus. If you skip the bus and try to walk from the station, it becomes a solid stretch. Entirely doable, just something to plan for. Overall, this spot is dialed in. Very disappointing experience. I spent over an hour trying to rent a car while Isaac repeatedly stopped helping me to assist other customers, leaving me waiting the entire time. After making me wait for over an hour, he refused to rent me a vehicle because the office had closed--even though it only reached closing time because he kept putting my transaction on hold. On top of that, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and judgmental. I felt like I was being treated differently than other customers and left feeling ignored and unfairly judged. Customer service should be respectful and consistent, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope management addresses this so no one else has to go through the same treatment. read more

Went to rent a car at the Mission location and left feeling like I was another common criminal. The guy asked for an emergency number. I said I did not have one but gave me grief about it and said that there are tons of unreturned cars and then proceeded to NOT rent me a car. I have been an enterprise customer for more than a decade and Enterprise has had my personal information that long so it is more than ludicrous that I would not return the car - and why would you accuse a customer when they are about to rent a car?. Enterprise always delivers, probably due to their hiring policy of getting the best and the brightest straight out of college. At this location, I needed a rental while my own car was waiting for repair. While renting in advance online, in person they gave me a superior car for the same rental price. It was an EV which was also great, but they easily swapped it out for a gas car when I had troubles with EV battery charging . No fault with the car. The best part of this location was their team spirit. They were professional, kind, and funny. They enjoyed working together and enjoyed working with their customers. i enjoyed working with them! What a racket! My flight into SFO was cancelled and rebooked for the following day. Because I prepaid for my rental car with a 3rd party (Expedia -- who TOLD me to contact Sixt, directly, to simply change the pick up information), Sixt REFUSED to help me!!! I wasn't even asking for the extra day's fee back -- I just wanted to pick the car up the following day!! I travel for business to SFO frequently, and I will NEVER book a car with Sixt again!!! I left work early to accommodate picking up the car on their timely manner for them to tell me I couldnt get a car with the documents I had and when I told them I confirmed with someone on the phone they were looking around like a bunch of retards, and couldnt help. Important tip for renters: DO NOT sign anything until you checked the fuel level of the car first. In my last experience, the rental was started with only half a tank of gas but the electronic agreement I signed said the gas was already full and the agreement stated "Customers may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level upon picking up the vehicle" as written on Enterprise's website at https://www.enterprise.com/en/car-rental-faqs/us-general/fueling-rental-car.html. I made the error of not checking the electronic paperwork for accuracy before driving the rental car and ended up getting stuck with reimbursing Enterprise for their refueling cost. Their office said the gas penalty is uncontestable and that I should have checked for accuracy prior to driving the rental car. Please don't trust their electronic paperwork as accurate. Demand to check and make sure the gas tank is full before you accept the car unless you don't mind paying for extra gas for Enterprise. Otherwise, demand the rental car with a full gas tank, which is what I should have done. That's why I'm giving a 1-star for their dishonesty with my transaction of reporting the gas tank as full on my electronic paperwork when the previous renter left the car with only half a tank of gas and Enterprise expected me to return the car with a full tank when the agreement clearly wrote "Customers may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level upon picking up the vehicle." read more

I stopped in to the Enterprise business located in Crestview, FL 2 weeks prior to my trip to secure an SUV for my weekend trip to an important meeting. When I arrived there were 2 employees on the front sidewalk standing away from the front entrance. I walked into the lobby and waited at the counter for someone to address me. Finally one of the individuals entered the front door after having their frivolous chat. I reserved an SUV to be picked up at noon on Friday April 25. I stopped in the business the day before on the 24th to make a small change to my reservation. Due to circumstances, I needed to be picked up by Enterprise (as advertised), but unfortunately I was told that they couldn't do it because they did not have the staff, That was not my problem, but they made it my problem. I had to scramble to make arrangements to find alternate transportation to pick up my reserved vehicle. I arrived at Enterprise on the 25th to pick up the rental. I was called outside and was informed they did not have a vehicle for me. The employee told me he had to have my car arrive brought in and I wouldn't be able to pick it up for 2 hours. Being on a timed schedule for an important meeting, I needed to get on the road immediately, not 2 to 3hrs later in order to make my meeting on schedule. The employee, stated that he only had 2 other older vehicles he could offer me which were much smaller than my original request. I had no choice at this point, because I needed to get on the road to meet my deadline. The 2 cars were older cars that were parked out back. I was offered to select any of the two. Reluctantly, I chose one, and then upon inspection, the car had not been cleaned. so the other option was the other car. It too had been vacuumed, but had not been wiped down or sanitized inside the vehicle. The outside of the vehicle was covered in bird droppings. I was totally embarrassed to to have to rely on an old car that was covered id dodo. The employee insulted me by stating that he would give me a $10 discount. What a joke. I had no other option at this point but to take the old car. The Car Play option on the vehicle (a Nissan Altima) did not work properly. Yes, my iPhone connected but I couldn't get CarPlay to connect. I am very teck savy but this car has issues. so I finally did a work around to be able to connect car play, but sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. After returning the car at 8am the following Monday morning, I explained my situation from the beginning to another employee that was checking my car back in. She seemed very inattentive and appeared to have cared less. When I got home, I called Cooperate, all i got was someone who took my name and contact info and stated that my issue would be forwarded to management. I still have not been contacted by management or Cooperate in reference to my experience, Other than an invite to leave a review. I still haven't been contacted, other than an email to leave a review. It is my opinion that this Enterprise location should loose their franchise name because they do not provide services as advertised, or even seem to take me serious concerning my issues. read more

Cars were nice, I rented one but would only give 4 stars instead of 5. Pretty sure they need to check the front brakes on one of the cars I rented. It was pulling to one side, and would squeak. Probably a rotor or pad issue of some sort? Aside from that, good prices. read more

I had the best experience at this location..Payton is just amazing!! From start to finish she made the whole process fun and easy. She remembered that I was renting the car because my mom was coming to visit, and asked about our time when I returned the car. It was just so sweet and a nice touch. I was able to pick up the car earlier than my reservation which was so convenient and we were able to extend an extra day when my mom's flight was delayed...they definitely accommodate all requests here. I will be using Mission Enterprise for all of my rental needs in the future. And Payton needs a raise and a promotion..she's the best :) read more

Needed a rental car for auto body damage. Had made a reservation to be picked up at Auto body stop at 8:30am. However, they weren't at the body shop yet. So I had to call them for them to come pick me up. It took 15 mins. Then another 10 minutes to get to Enterprise. Maybe they are short staffed, but then it took another 20 mins to check out. They didn't have a key to one of the cars I selected. read more

This review consist of one bad one and one great one. My first experience was and I mean horrible! Originally had a reservation at moscone enterprise on 687 folsom st San francisco. Upon a arrival no one was at the location and it wasn't until 20 mins that the janitor had to go and grab the worker/attendant.(Miguel Luna) Miguel came in and simply said folks wait a second I need to file an injury report and proceed to take another 15-20 mins to file said report. The whole time me and an another customer waited as he did his report. Miguel gave no attempt to converse, check in or validate our presence. We spent a total of 40+ minutes waiting before we were helped. Miguel had done nothing to validate his late arrival, spent little to zero effort to provide customer service and focused on a report that i'm sure he could have done after helping us and getting us on our way. I didn't get my car until a hour after my arrival, which is outrageous. Not only did this cause me to be late but the only car left was a mitsubishi Mirage that had a bent back camera and deteriorating brakes. Miguel and Moscone enterprise is a prime model for what a business should NOT be like. After that horrid experience I contacted enterprise on 1600 mission St San francisco in hopes to switch out of the Mirage. From my first contact up until switching out my rental Sage and Kyle from mission St location were top notch and great at customer service, empathy, quick thinking and more! Showing excellent knowledge of their environment and duties they were able to get me switched out into a new car in no time making sure the rental I was getting was meeting satisfaction. Their instructions were careful, through and kind making sure I had all the resources to get my questions answered. My experience with them thoroughly helped me realize how amazing an establishment can be. They single-handedly revived my loyalty to enterprise and are the gold standard workers that any business wish to have. Ressrved a car online and arrived at 0800. Was informed by agent they were " out of cars". Others in line had reserved cars also and told there were none available. No explanation as to how cars aren't made available if reserved online ahead of time . Agent told US to call their location at the airport and seecifctvey had any available ! Other San Francisco locations have closed during SIP and they have consolidated at this location, so things are crazy. Still giving them four stars because my overall experience has been great (usually rent from the Turk St location) and they're clearly doing the best they can. One tip, if you're coming to the location (which is actually on Otis St, not Mission) from BART, use the 16th St station. It's equidistant with Civic Center but a much more pleasant/safer walk. (Yes, they advertise they will come pick you up but I wouldn't count on quick service, esp because it's currently very hard to get through on the phone.) read more

How is this company still in business? no one picks up the phone in Berkeley Ca or Oakland CA offices for over 45 minutes. Once I get through, they have no cars. I am forced to use ENTERPRISE because of an insurance claim. I called my adjuster and she is frustrated with them as well as I am not the only person who cant get a car. Unfortunately where we are located Enterprise is really the only close place to rent a car. So they take advantage of price gouging but that is business and I am ok with that. What I am not OK with is: 1. They closed the store and were 45 minutes late getting vehicle to us. They didn't even apologize. As a matter of fact I felt like they acted as if they did us a favor. We did change the reservation of the vehicle type with four to six hours notice but they do have plenty of vehicles they could of upgraded us to. 2. The reservation was for a weekend and then we were renting it for 30 days. The reason: My credit card company only covers insurance for 30 day rentals only. So while there with my additional driver he quoted a price which we were fine with. 3. Then after sitting there waiting for the car to arrive, after receiving the quote that individual handed us over to his colleague. After signing she said it will be another $15 a day for additional driver bringing your total to $x for the month. I said we were quoted $x and she said well there is an additional driver. 4. Being 45 minutes late, without an apology I did walk out to calm down and went back in about five minutes later to discuss it with the original representative. 5. I said you quoted us a price. You knew there was additional driver. I said I don't feel it's fair your now charging me another $500 a month for a quote you provided. 6. He didn't even care. But sitting there for 45 minutes I witnessed about 7-8 transactions. Two of which they offered discounts to two customers at the counter for various reasons. 7. The representative just didn't care. The attitude was that if we don't need your business. He wasn't nasty but wasn't really caring at all. Unfortunately we are now stuck for a month with a car and we are now getting robbed for $500 for an additional driver. By the way their website is extremely deceptive because it doesn't spill out all the extras like an additional driver fee. Also in going over the car we noticed a scratch and substantial damage underneath and said shouldn't this be noted? "No I am more concerned about dents." However the other representative did a walk around with another client and took pictures on her Enterprise handheld device of damage. It was as if the representative couldn't be bothered with noting damage. I've actually attached a picture of one of the bigger scratches because I want it documented. The under carriage has a bunch of scratches and damage. When it turned the vehicle on the back up camera didn't work. I had to clean the back up camera. I definitely was upset they were 45 minutes late, didn't apologize so I maybe wasn't the nicest but I wasn't rude. Personally it seems like they get off on knowing you need a vehicle and they are the only game in this entire area. Disappointed.....would never rent a car from them again! I'm stuck with them for another month too because our car wouldn't be ready. read more

I recently returned a new Toyota Corolla after a one-week rental while my car was in the shop. Shortly after taking possession the car developed an irritating noise in the driver side door. The vehicle had less than 200 miles on it when I rented it. I did not report the issue to enterprise or put WD-40 on the hinge. On the return I was informed of my responsibility for any damage to the door. I confirmed with enterprise today there was no noted damage to the door; just the noise, but the door is out of alignment and I will be billed the cost of repair. I feel this is clearly a warranty issue and Toyota is responsible for it, since I did nothing to the door other than open and close it. After renting cars for over 50 years, Enterprise is not likely to get my business in the future. read more

One of the worst rental experiences of my life. Made a reservation through my insurance because I was involved in a car accident earlier that day . My policy covers $100per day. Pick up time was at 3pm I get there approximately at 3 and there was a bunch of people standing outside not social distancing. They had a curb side pick so walked up to the lady she said go inside and my manger could help you. Walk inside the manager was not wearing a mask then proceeded to put it on when she saw me wearing one. Told her I had a reservation and she said you need to get in line with all those people. Mentioned gain I have a reservation. I told her I'll just go elsewhere she said "good luck nobody has cars" that's fine I don't need one that bad. As I was standing outside waiting for my ride a different associate walked up. He had a completely different tone and gave me common courtesy and pulled up my reservation info. I asked if he had anything comparable to what I was driving he said we don't carry anything comparable here. We only have "basic/economy cars" he referred me to union square location. So I guess that's the way they treat people here who get basic/economy cars. This type of treatment is how companies go out of business. They don't respect their customer and take them for granted. TURO will eventually put them out of business like all the other failed business that refused to adapt. read more

Please avoid this location at all costs. I returned a vehicle to this location today. Usually I don't go to this location. It was a one way rental. Meaning, I picked up at another location and returned it to this location because the location I picked it up at is closed on Saturdays. There is an assistant manager here that is rude, unprofessional, and wants to be the center of attention. She didn't greet us or speak to us when we first pulled into the garage. She then proceeds to give us directives in a rude tone of voice. I don't know if she was flirting with the older man she was talking to or not but it looked like it. Also, she was dressed unprofessional from the eyelashes on down. She was dressed as if Enterprise was having a Halloween party or something. Not in a professional business setting. If you're an assistant manager, you're supposed to hold yourself to a higher standard. A very bad example for her employees. She should take advice and follow her co worker. Definitely not the most friendliest or well staffed Enterprise location. I miss 8th street. I waited a long time for the shuttle. Then waited even longer for a clean vehicle. The wait on the return for a shuttle felt just as long. Lots of people standing around but apparently only one person could shuttle people though they had two shuttles and a lot of cars. To be honest this enterprise location turned my quick drop off at the dealer for maintenance into a 2 hour ordeal. They had all the time in the world to try to upsell insurance or overpriced car upgrades. I rent from Enterprise and other rental companies often, very often. And while the Enterprise experience is usually average this was the first time I felt compelled to leave a review. I will honestly think hard about going to the dealer closest to this location again knowing how long and frustrating it was. read more

I can't say enough about the customer service I experienced at this Enterprise location! Doris, Michaela, Jeremy, Ryan, Erica and a beautiful redhead whose name escapes me right now, went above and beyond to make renting my car as easy as could be. From picking me up at a body shop I chose far from their location, to staying in close touch with me regarding the time of the return to then driving me back to the body shop and even helping me with bags of groceries I had with me. This team of representatives truly went above and beyond for me. I have never had such a positive experience renting a car before. I had an incredibly frustrating experience with a car I rented from this location. I rented an SUV from them and while parked I was eating lunch and put my food on the roof on the passenger side. I opened the door so I could sit in the car while eating, I stepped on floorboard to get my bag off the roof and there was a piece of molding that is flush with the floorboard and it snapped off. It caused me to fall off onto the pavement. I got up and snapped the piece of molding back in place. When I looked closer at that area of the car it is impossible to tell the piece of molding from the Floorboard one normally steps in when getting into a car. When I returned the car they told me I have to pay gr the damage. I find this incredibly incredibly frustrating, because there is no warning that the molding is there and that it's not safe to step on! read more

My sister and I rented a minivan from the 1600 Mission location at the end of August for a 2,000 mile cross-country trip from San Francisco to Montana. On the day we left we got word that our brother had died and our well-planned journey suddenly turned into a bittersweet trip involving a detour to South Dakota and several extensions of our lease to attend our brother's funeral. Throughout this emotional and physical journey Manager Chris Donlon and his staff were our strong supporters, showing compassion to us at a very hard time and making our rental experience as seamless as possible.
