I've rented from this location on three separate occasions while in town over the past 3-4 months. I know a lot of the reviews are saying how their experiences while dealing with this location was terrible, but that wasn't my experience, the first, second, or third time which is why I've continued to use them. But my 4th time using them was a bit bumpy, most likely my last. I know they have policies that they follow, but if you've used them in the past, the most recent being less than three weeks ago. I was traveling alone, which Is usually the case just like the previous three times, but the Lady at the desk wasn't very helpful at all, and I know they probably have to deal with a lot but not every customer is the same. Even a guy inside who she was speaking with her when I walked up to her about my reservation which I've started chatting within the meantime, was more pleasant than she was. He even asked if there was something a manager could assist with and her reply to him was its headquarters or higher up, I can't remember. But she showed no interest in willing to help or even ask someone else, and I was honestly trying not to get upset at the situation and tired. I just left it at that was told my reservation would fall off, and no charges applied. At the same time, I wait for my bags. I'm now trying to figure out getting my things and getting off the airport, which if you've been to this airport you would know how that can be. I then reached out to someone seeing my options, who suggested to have her contact a manager and have them tell you there's no other option. Still, at t this point, I was exhausted hadn't slept more than 2 hours all day prior early morning flight at 5 am. My body was running on empty; I was over it. FYI: If you don't have pickup scheduled in advance, finding an Uber or Lyft will take you a long time from this airport location. And even scheduling one in advance DONT guarantee you'll get one. I rented a car from them for two weeks. First, they did not have the size of car I reserved, so they bumped me up to a larger model, which was less than ideal for my needs. Returning was the real problem. When I dropped off the car I was told I would get an emailed receipt and a charge shortly. I had to call customer service repeatedly over three days to get a receipt, and my card has still not been charged. There's no use in calling this branch, since they never answer the phone; the only option is to call the main enterprise number. Enterprise is usually good, but stay away from this one! read more

Was sent here for a vehicle exchange due to mechanical issues with my rental. Exchange was confirmed by customer service and so I drove to the location for what should've been a stress free exchange. Counter was closed with traffic being redirected to National counter. Girl was playing games on her cell and seemingly disinterested in doing her job. We explained the situation and without hesitation, was told she could not do anything for us. We stated we were sent there by the corporate service department, and got an eyeroll and "I have to call the owner". The owner was driving somewhere per counter rep, and had received the confirmation to exchange the vehicle. We were then told all comparable vehicles "were reserved" and she would downgrade us to a compact or full size sedan from a SUV. We did not agree and called service back. They requested to speak to counter rep who refused to take their call. Checked our Enterprise app to find several trucks and SUVs still available for rent at the same location. Ended up leaving in broken vehicle with fingers crossed that the wheel didn't fall off for remainder of drive. Thanks Enterprise. read more

What a joke! Complete lack of organization. Made reservations two weeks in advance for car. Was told to bring two pieces of mail with address and license. I provided that. Would not take debit card or cash. Really? Offered to have family member provide credit card. No luck. Called customer service and they said company policy would not allow. WOW! Idiots, cash, debit card and credit card provided, no luck. You guys suck. Will never explore Enterprise again. Horrible experience. Told several times "company policy will not allow." Let's try this, change your flicking company policy to provide your customers with what you promised and make some money. Guess not. Hope you get what you deserve---- NOTHING. Terrible experience. I agree with others, a complete lack of organization. Cars not available, cars not clean. Procedures not followed - no one walks around the car with you (IT'S ON YOU TO CHECK THE CAR FOR DAMAGE!). We were even issued a contract for a different car! Not not not good. read more

My husband who is an Emerald member was treated very badly by the store. He made a reservation the night before at another location to pick up a car today at this location. He was told when he got there that they had nothing for him. How is it you make a reservation to have a vehicle waiting on you just to be told sorry? He was sent down to Avis where he was able to get a vehicle that he needs to go out of town. I'm thinking that you may have just lost a valued long time customer. He rents cars almost weekly and to be treated the way he was is unacceptable. Your loss!!!!! read more

I had a catastrophic experience with this Enterprise. No problem reserving a car, "intermediate" $243 for a week. No problem picking it up at the in-airport desk. Because it's a small airport, they don't tell you that you will need to walk to "Kingdom Come" to find your car. (Past, alllll the other car companies in a large lot behind the airport and down the hill). He said my car had no "damage". I found five nicks in five places and "called" from the parking per his instructions to report it. The number is automated. Could not reach ANY one. Drove to the nearest airport entrance and had to wait behind other customers to report. (I was more irked with no contact number.) Next, I got 15 miles away and discovered NO A/C working! Again, no contact phone. I called the 24 hour emergency # six times and finally got a human who said the company closes at noon on Saturdays and I wouldn't be able to replace the car until Monday--unless I drove the now 30 miles back to the airport and 30 miles forward AGAIN (90 miles total). I drove to a nearby city and traded the car--for the only thing available--an F-150 pick-up truck! with no gas, no water in the wipers and big dents (and less gas mileage). It made for an interesting week--but it had a/c. They did "honor" the original price for the intermediate car (which was really a subcompact). I'm holding my breath for the final bill. read more

Terrible experience. I had a truck rental set up a month in advance with these guys. I am driving my daughter from Oregon down to California for her first year of college. I needed a truck with 4 doors. Enterprise assured me that they would have the truck. When I checked in to get the truck, the said sorry, we had to rent out all of the trucks we had that met your requirements. They had other vehicles that would work, like a large SUV with enough space for the cargo we had, but wouldn't give it to me at the same rate that they committed to me earlier. Now I am left with nothing that will work. Terrible customer service. Excuses with no recourse that helps the customer. read more

Reserved a compact car online Wednesday night for Thursday of Thanksgiving. None were had when we arrived. Tried to upgrade us to a van. I refuse to drive large or intermediate cars because they are not as easy to control. There were none available at any South Bend location including the sister companies of Alamo and National except in a less than savory downtown neighborhood where there was one and with only one staff person, they could not "pick me up". Was told that customer prefer upgrades. I'm not one of them. Was then told that if I did rent from another local location and returned to the airport, that there would be a $75 drop charge! This is less than an 8 mile drive. Sheer chutzpah that this is allowed to happen. Had to fight with the guy at the airport counter about this and encouraged him to call his manager who eventually waived this policy under the circumstances. But it was for naught. In the end, I shared my parents' car. Sent a note to the national office to complain about these policies and was assured I would receive a response. Tomorrow is Thursday. No response yet. Just saw a commerical about great customer service @ Enterprise and how each reservation specialist is empowered to make decisions to insure this policy. Clearly the local staff members were not informed of this policy. All hype. This is the problem when real competition is diminished. read more

Ugh. Had to go with Enterprise because for one National was twice as high. You get what you pay for. Only 2 cars available. The young man at counter was very courteous but gave me the wrong keys. Got to the open lot walking around pushing key fob to no avail. Late for business meeting. Called back inside and he already knew he'd given me wrong keys but hadn't bothered to bring the right set out? Car was a Malibu. Had not been cleaned which I knew upfront but I never expected it would smell like a chain smoker had just driven it across country. Now I'm stuck with the car and have to drive it to Detroit for drop off before I fly out. My clothes smell like cigarettes. Sickening. I notified them by phone and they offered another vehicle if I stopped along the way at another location. Don't have much time for that. Guess I'm used to the clean upgrades at National. Normally a Impala or better. This time had a choice of a Cruz or last years Malibu. Very disappointed. read more
