When I arrived, I saw the vehicle in person and was ready to move forward. However, I was told I could not test drive the car unless I first completed a credit application, allowed my credit to be run, and financed through Hertz Financial -- despite already being pre-qualified with my own credit union. The explanation given was that they "don't want just anyone test driving certain cars," which was surprising and disappointing, especially after being invited to visit. As a serious buyer who had already secured financing, the requirement felt unnecessary and highly unprofessional. I was genuinely floored by the experience. For this to come from a national company made it even more shocking. Lesson learned.
