I rented from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 11 Brown House Rd in Stamford, CT, and this was honestly the best rental car experience I've ever had. The entire process was fast, professional, and completely frictionless. A huge shoutout to Tim, who helped me from start to finish. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely cared about making the experience as easy as possible. He asked about my vehicle that was in the body shop, explained everything clearly, and had me laughing throughout the process. Employees like Tim are what make people come back--he honestly deserves Employee of the Month and a raise. The rental process itself was incredibly well designed. Checking in on the iPad took just a few minutes, inspecting the vehicle and documenting any existing damage was simple, and I was on the road much faster than I expected. Everything felt modern, organized, and efficient. I was also impressed by how well Enterprise worked with my insurance. I have Progressive, and the negotiated insurance rate made the rental very affordable. My vehicle was being repaired at Pray Body Shop, and the coordination between the two companies made everything seamless. When my Audi was finished, I simply left the Enterprise rental at Pray Body Shop, and they handled returning it to Enterprise for me. It couldn't have been easier. You are met by a person eating a sandwich that lifts their head and tells you to go to the other desk. You go to the other desk and you are met with passive aggressive behavior (yes I lost my cool) , and then you go to the car.....during the inspection you asked to have the damage that's on the car to be documented, they say it's just wear and tear and you say document it. Then that person acts like you've just insulted them or wounded them and no longer speaks to you and no longer raises the pad for you to sign or read what you need to sign. I think these people feel that if they smile at you but act differently towards you you're not smart enough to understand how you are being treated. Good luck going there! read more

Made a reservation a week ago. Went to pick up car but no one was there. I mean no employees, although another customer was also waiting. Called their office, no one picked up. Called another local branch, they said they would send someone over. They never did. What kind of rental company does not have employees to give out the cars that have been rented? Absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my life! I only gave them 1 star bc if I didn't give any stars I wouldn't be able to post. So... Someone driving an enterprise van hit my car & took off. Not one employee (including management) from 2 different locations would look into it. Refused to help in any way, shape & form. They all said "there's nothing I can do". They even refused to call the (only 30) people in the county to inquire about any damage! I will never rent from them again & I will tell every single client, friend & person to never rent from them again. They obviously don't care. Enterprise associate Evens Louis took very good care of me at the last minute. He was very helpful and professional. I had my Moms wedding/birthday surprise to attend and needed a vehicle ASAP. I just flew in from CA so I was car-less and all my friends weren't available. All the other locations around the area claimed not to have any cars available etc. I called to check if enterprise on summer st had something and they did. I didn't care for the actual model/make I just needed a vehicle (but also did not want to have to spend an arm and a leg for just 2days). Evens helped me get a car quickly and I was out the door within 30 mins. I had a safe and clean 2018 Nissan. Easy pick up, easy drop off on a very short notice. I've heard utterly terrible things about Enterprise, but my experience was totally different. Wanted 2 cars so that our group could get around the city easily and save everyone from ubering seperately. Since we had appointments/ reservations we wanted to be on time for them. Checking in was easy, the staff was tremendously personable and returning the cars/ settling the payment and details was a snap. Maybe other locations aren't great but this one rocked. read more

Picked me up at the auto body place when my car was being worked on. Very convenient and prompt. Rental was awesome. Similar to what I drove. Made everything easy. I had the worst experience with Ken and Mike over the thanksgiving season. All they cared about was policy, instead of being proactive about helping me rent a car. Also, I was the only customer in there, and Mike kept cutting me off to pick up the phone and giggle with "Donald Duck". Bottom line, no customer service, no desire to want to help people actually rent cars. I will never use enterprise again ever. If they employ people like these assholes, then the entire company must be made up of mindless brainless idiots. read more

I had the WORST experience in this place. After my phone reservation for a one way rental, i requested an email confirmation, which i never received. When i picked up the car, they gave me a minivan instead of the reserved economic car; they reassured me that i was only charged the economy fee. They refused to provide me with an address or directions to the drop off place, and told me "You're on your own". Any of my questions (i.e. regarding a confirmation, drop off fees, something in writing) were just laughed at as i i were crazy. I drove directly and dropped the car off 4/1/2 hours later at my destination-- the same day, at 5pm. Now, two weeks later, i still have a large extra charge on my credit card as they never returned the deposit. I had to call the national office to resolve this; now, they claim i never returned the car the same day--which is NOT true. Meanwhile, I'm paying interest on the card and can't get help to remove that fee. read more

We have used the Stamford Enterprise on between 6-10 occasions in the last 14 months and have never had anything but excellent service, good cars, and good experiences. My only nitpik is getting a ride to train station on Sunday morning if your train leaves before 9. But overall that's small potatoes. You can't beat the convenience of having a rental car place inside the hotel in which you are staying, and this has become our go-to place when in Stamford. read more

Bottom line, they didn't seem to want my business. I called with a couple of questions about making a reservation. My first call went directly into a voicemail box that was full and couldn't accept any more messages. My second call got a guy who said he was with a customer, and promised to call back. He never did. My third call got a guy (I'm not sure if it's the same one) who at least took down my information. He also promised to call me back -- in fact, he promised this REPEATEDLY, because I pointed out to him that this was my third call -- but he didn't call me back either. Bottom line, I ended up not having a car when I needed it, because these guys couldn't get their act together. read more

Car smells of cigarette smoke despite 'no smoking' signs inside car; car tire pressure was low, with warning signal on constantly, from the get go - i took it to get air, and reset the tire pressure.... hectic office, understaffed. Disappointing experience. read more

Made a reservation for a certain type car (4-wheel drive) and was told it would not be a problem. When I got there, they had no 4-wheel drive cars, except a BMW which they wanted several hundred dollars per day for. In the end, they put me in a pick up truck which they lowered the cost of per day to $50, but made me pay the taxes. The whole thing ended up costing me over $300 when they had initially told me it would all be covered. BAIT AND SWITCH. When I filed a complaint, all the "customer service" person did was argue with me. What a horrible experience. Moral of the story is get your reservation in writing from them, or go somewhere else. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more
