I made a reservation a day prior , I got there and there was no vehicles . I guess my time and me having to physically walk there didn't mean anything to them ... I asked the lady if there where any vehicles by the enterprise on Richmond terrace she said there was nothing available not even calling and seeing and gave me attitude as if to get the fuck out her face. So here's the deal. There are definitely issues with this place in terms of inventory control and reliability of booking vehicles online, but we actually had amazing customer service, apology, and partial refund of our reservation. This is my experience here. We had booked the car for one day, which really meant 4 hours because on Saturdays, the place is only open from 9am-1pm. We had booked a bunch of excursions within the 4 hours. It was partially our fault that we arrived around 9:45am to pick up the car, although we had called ahead and told them we were going to be late and they said everything was fine. When we got there, they said they didn't have a car for us and needed to get a vehicle from NJ, and couldn't provide us with a time. My friend got really angry because we had made plans. The manager came over, and they secured a car from another Enterprise on Staten Island and drove us over immediately. We appreciated it. The guy who drove us over was super nice and told us about some car recalls that had affected their inventory, leading to this issue with the shortage. I get it, but they really shouldn't let this many people book vehicles online then, or at least have some extra cars on hand. So we did our thing and came back before 1pm to drop off our car. To our surprise, they didn't charge us for gas, and also gave us a huge discount on our reservation without being asked. I was really impressed. Originally, I was going to give a 1 star for what had happened, but the attitude and their ability to fix the issue professionally I think brought it up in my mind. I think if you arrive when they open at 9am, you will definitely have a car and avoid the problems. read more

Not only does it usually save me a few hundred dollars off my rental, but the staff at this Enterprise is incredibly helpful. My husband and I have rented from this location many times. The customer service is exceptional. The staff is courteous and tries to please. The car inventory is usually at a minimum. Reservations are always honored, however you don't really find much of a selection. I took one star off just for the reason that a couple of times the car we got is not clean. I don't mind if the car isn't shiny or waxed, but finding a dirty tissue in the side pockets and a sticky chocolate wrapper inside simply shows a lack of care. When situations such as this happens I made sure I tell the staff and they always make amends somehow, which proves their excellent customer service. Overall, I will recommend this place. read more

i very recently rented a car here to attend an event on Staten Island. They are one train or bus stop away from the ferry if you don't want to walk. The only con is that the lot is very small, so there may be some tetris involved in getting the car out. That aside, the customer service was remarkably efficient and friendly, and they drove me to the ferry when I returned the car. The car I had was brand new and in great condition. The price was very reasonable. I would easily rent from here again the next time I need to be on Staten Island. Thank you, Enterprise, for making a difficult day a lot easier! read more

I made a reservation via Hotwire for a standard car and didn't realize this was such a small location. I thought we would be able to choose from a selection of cars, but they were all out and could barely fulfill my reservation. The staff was completely polite and helpful (thank you!) and check out was quick and easy, but the car was covered with bird poo and the rims of the tires were all bent out of shape, there was only one car and it was a compact car. In the future I will book through the airport in the hopes that they have more cars available and take better care of them. However, again the staff was helpful. Oh and also, they do not have EZ pass as an optional add-on here! read more

Had a reservation for a debit card, and no cars were available when I showed up. I was on a very tight schedule, and this would have been a huge problem. When my friend was able to use her credit card, Erin was amazing and got as an upgraded card, waived a day of the fee, added me as an extra driver for free, and gave us a later return than planned. The customer service was terrible. My time was wasted; the employees were racist and biased. They were very discriminatory and I heard racist remarks while I was trying to get everything processed. They did nothing to streamline or help me understand the process. I'm sure if they were treated with the same run arounds and biased behavior they wouldn't appreciate it either. read more

I had a very bad experience at this location about a year and a half ago. Long story short when I discussed details on the phone, everything was fine but in oerson, they refused to rent me the car I reserved due to rules that only exist at this location. After a lot of back and forth with corporate, everything was worked out. An amazing manager named Joe handled my complaint upon return. He offered me a discount for next time. He hand wrote it on a business card. When I went to rent a car last week, I handed it to the employee processing my rental and didn't realize it was Joe again! I was worried about them accepting a hand written discount on a business card but luckily Joe was there to recognize his own handwriting. He even let me know that returning the car at 9am doesn't charge me for that day which I didn't know. Joe saved me a lot of money. This is what excellent customer service looks like. Joe deserves a raise. Oh and I love that they give you a ride home afterwards! read more

I never rented from this organization, they screwed up my email sending me a bill for over $2000.... i called they never took my email out of their system... poor management and i have to keep getting surveys of how well they did!!! they donot do well in correcting their mistakes..and i got billed because they refuse to correct !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having a negative experience with the Hylan Blvd location, (they booked a car for me, and the day of they had absolutely no cars available) I was a little nervous about continuing to work with Enterprise. I called the Enterprise on Bay St when this happened, and they were able to get me into a car and moved my reservation over immediately. I have used this location multiple times over the last three months for different rentals. I have dealt with literally everyone who works at this location and have never had a bad experience. Every time I have called for a pickup, one of the guys arrives promptly and gets me safely back to their office. If someone is not available to take me back immediately after returning a car, they call car service for me on them. The pickup and return time is always super quick. Everyone is very friendly and after only a few visits, they all know my name. Nice family feel! I will continue to use this location for all bookings. read more

The most helpful and friendly people I have ever found at a car rental company work here. The employees at this Enterprise location helped my husband and I to rent a car without using a credit card. Many other car rental companies were not willing to take the time to jump through the hoops necessary to do this. But the employees here immediately took the steps necessary to make it possible for us to rent a car. Also, we got stuck in traffic on the way to return the car and were almost a full hour late. They didn't even charge us for being late! Instead, they offered us a ride to where we were going. Super nice, super friendly, and super helpful. We will definitely be renting from these guys again. Horrible experience with my last rental. I went to pick up the rental and the location had no cars. My appointment was for 9am and I had to wait till 10:30am to get a vehicle. I was driven to another location to pick up my rental in a cargo van. I was to at the other location that since I purchased 5 days of rental that I get the other two left in the week for free. This is a scam. My rental was originally from Sat at 9am till Weds 6pm. The two extra days that's given free would have allowed me to return it Sat evening. However enterprise does not stay open past 1pm on a Saturday which I wasn't made aware of until I tried to return the rental Saturday evening. Sunday all rental locations are closed but they still charge this day as an additional day of rental. So I ended returning the rental Monday evening after I got out of work. I just made it to a location near me in Tottenville. The agent listened to the events leading to that day and told me I would not be charged for the inconvenience and that the original rental location would reach out to me to go over the final bill. I never got a call from the Bay Street manager. However I did receive an email with receipt and grand total of just under $800 for one week and two days of rental (It was actually three days see they charged me for the Saturday I could not return the rental because they close early). My original rental was for about $260 plus the insurances. Which I regret getting because those free days I was also charged for on the insurance. I feel like knowing that as a company you started off wrong with you client by not having reserved product available at the time slot you have them, they should of at least reached out to me and asked how my rental experience was. Honestly going forward I will not use Enterprise for my rental needs and I will spread the word of the scam they are running because I have never been treated with such disrespect to be lied to in my face by a company I used many times in the past. read more

Occasionally, my car could use a better wash, but overall it's the best spot to go in the area by far.
