Second time I drive all the way here after CONFIRMING they have a car and getting a reservation and I DRIVE all the way here and they tell me they have no cars. I should've known better. I called the branch to verify before coming all the way both times. Waste of time and money. Don't waste your time or money. Take it somewhere else. I'll make sure all my family and friends never rent from here. Edit to say they didn't even try to look if we can rent a car until the place was filled with people and we kept asking. This this the best car rental place ever! I was initially unhappy bc the car was not clean n smelled of smoke ugh! They did offer to clean it right there but I had no time. So when I expressed my unhappiness...they took off 1 day rental cost to apologize to me!! WOW!! I love it! My faith in Enterprise has been restored! Kudos to Enterprise in Suffolk VA on Main St!! My last choice of car rental places! They gave me a car with a slow leak and wanted me to keep bring it back for air, and didn't have a car to exchange for until Monday, this was Friday. This business has been through numerous leadership changes as well as associates. This is my first rental with this establishment in 2023 and it was probably my worst of all of the 5+ years. My vehicle was not ready based on my reservation and once I was able to do a walk around, I noticed numerous marks that was discarded by the associate. I started to tell the team member that there were no mats in the vehicle in the front or back, and they proceeded to tell me that that's not part of their responsibility. This business will continue to suffer if it does not do the proper training for their associates, and get adequate leadership to manage the business. The inside of the vehicle was still dirty, and the associate became argumentative when I asked him to add windshield washer in the vehicle. If there was another major Rent-A-Car location closer, this business would have no customers at all due to the lack of customer orientation. read more

Employee gave my car away when I had a 5 day reservation I came in at 9:30am had an 8am reservation. This is for a business trip mind you. Did'nt cancel the reservation either. She proposed no resolution, had no alternative car and when I said "So you f*cked me" she told me she wouldn't give me a car even if she had one. One of the worst experiences I've had at a business. I have gone to this location many of times prior to my 4/18 phone call . I was calling to make a reservation and the person who answered the phone stated I had to make a reservation online. I told her the manager always helps me make my reservations to help guarantee a car. she stated they do not make the reservations at the branch , I asked her name and she stated Nicole. I asked Nicole her title and she stated she was the assistant. I asked her to please help me make a reservation and she caught an attitude and started getting loud with me over the phone! On 10-14- 22 I made an reservation for a mini Van to be used on 12/19/22 - 12/27/ed 22 with a 5:30 pickup and return on 12/28/22. Reservation. Your confirmation number is 2056816213. In November 28, 2022 I modified my pickup time for the reservation to 2pm pickup and drop off and also asked the representative to note my account that I would like a Chrysler Pacifica. The representative said no problem because we have lots of them and we also have Chrysler Voyages.  On 12/14/22 I called the local branch Suffolk VA on Main Street and asked if my account had been updated with my request for a Chrysler Pacifica? He stated that he didn't see it, but he would put it in for me and that it would not be a problem because they had plenty vans.  On 12/15/22 a representative from the local Suffolk Branch called me to confirm my pickup on 12/19/22 @ 2pm and gave me information about a $300 security deposit. I asked again was I good to go with a Chrysler Pacifica or a Voyager minivan. He stated that I was all set.  On the morning of 12/19/22 on my way to work I drove past the 2101 N. Main Street Suffolk VA 23434 location and saw to vans sitting up front. I was thinking okay they have vans.  On 12/19/22 @ 2pm we got to the Suffolk Main Street location for pickup. The young lady checked us in and went to get the keys. She stopped at the key rack and Looked at someone in the corner they whispered and then she handed to whoever was in the corner my reservation on her mini keyboard. She came back to the counter and said we don't have a mini van. We have a Ford Explorer and it has the same amount of seats. We stated that we needed a minivan and that's why we made our reservation 2months ago. We don't need the 7 seats we need the length and space to pack luggage and 4 sacks of Christmas presents. We have luggage for 5 people, 4 sacks of gifts plus other bags of food and personal items. We had a minivan before from you all and knew that everything would fit!!!  We asked to speak with the manager. She came up and said we had a van for you that just came in, but it came back with a cracked windshield. We called Safelite Auto repair and they were supposed to come between 8am-12pm to fix it before your pickup at 2pm. But they must be running late. So, I asked why you didn't call to let me know and she said that they were busy and that her employees needed lunch breaks so they forgot to call me. She call Safelite and Safelite said that they came but on Saturday to fix the windshield. She told them that they were not open on Saturday so she lied to us when she said that the van just came in this morning with the broken windshield. I asked her where was the 2 vans that was on the lot this morning when I came passed. She that they were rented to people who made an reservation back in April 2022. It was first come, first served and my reservation was made in October so they got the 2 vans from this morning. The young working at the counter said that she would call around to other locations to try to find a van. The manger never apologized for not having a van, for not calling me to let me know the van said he on the lot since last week with the broken windshield had not been fix and she never showed an empathy for our situation. She never put forth effort to get us a van. She said that we could try Norfolk Va Airport Enterprise. We ask her to call for us. She said we had to call because her location was not affiliated with Norfolk. We asked for her supervisor and she said that her supervisor was not available because she was out sick with Covid. We asked for the next person in charge and she said to call the 1800 number. We asked to use the phone and  she no the phone was only for her employees. We left went down the street to another place and got a van and paid more money and had to buy car accessories to make our phones work for directions and charging because the van was not updated like a Chrysler.  On 12/20/22 I reached out to Enterprise Customer Service 1800 number and have not heard back. On 12/22/22 I reached Enterprise Customer Service through email and have not heard back. On 12/23/22 I reached out to Enterprise Online Messenger and have not heard back. The worst service I've ever experienced at a rental car location. The day I was supposed to pick up my car they didn't have one for me. The manager stated it was because I was late even though it I was "late" because the girl set the appoint earlier than I requested. Then they agreed to meet me at the repair place I was dropping of my car because I needed to get to work. They didn't meet me. I had to call them. They picked me up in a Dodge Durango. Then we got to the enterprise they tried to charge me twice the rate I was quoted. When I told them that wasn't going to work they gave me a Corolla. Which would be fine except I requested a full size car and the Corolla smelled of weed smoke. I called to complain and was told someone would contact me which never happened. I called back to inquire as to why and was told that they would put another request in for management to contact me. They still never contacted me. I will not be renting a car for. Just left from trying to pick up a rental car to be told my reservation was cancelled due to a car shortage. I have no email or record of a phone call. If you have a car shortage, you should notify people when they make a reservation, and actually speak to them if you are cancelling their reservation! read more

I set up my reservation for a vehicle everything was fine, get a call the day before I was supposed to pick up the vehicle they told me it wouldn't be until next week (Thursday) to be exact and next Thursday is thanksgiving so I'm sure they'll be closed smh read more

So may 1st I literally broke down in their parking lot and was there waiting for a tow truck for over an hour. No one even bothered to come out and ask me what was going on. When I finally went inside they all said that they were wondering what was going on. And were actually making jokes about "business literally falling in there lap." If this is the customer service enterprise thinks is acceptable I will never use them again. Even if I do brake down in their parklot I will get a ride across town to any other rental car establishment to avoid this company. read more
