Another employee then assisted me and informed me that the only vehicle available was a 5-passenger SUV, even though I had reserved a 7-passenger vehicle. I was also told that the insurance I had purchased through the third-party booking platform would not be accepted, and that I would have to pay more than $300 in additional charges to rent the vehicle. I asked if I could speak with the manager, but I was told the manager was not at the location and that even if they were, they would tell me the same thing and would not be able to help. I completely understand that every business is in business to make a profit. However, speaking negatively about third-party companies that partner with your business and leaving customers with no reasonable solution is not the level of professionalism I expect. More importantly, customer service should always be a priority. Employees who interact with customers represent the company, and a respectful, helpful attitude can make all the difference. I left to catch a flight to WA state. 9/29 around 0844PST I called Hertz (918) 742-3453 staff to confirm the car was returned, ticket was closed and I complained about car not being cleaned when I got it because my son found a cigar underneath the driver seat. The lady confirmed the ticket was closed and said there were no problems. No charges were to be placed because it was through my insurance. On 10/6 I received a charge from Hertz.
