After dealing with another rental car company and getting the shaft supreme, I was so happy that this place took such good care of me. The folks working there were incredible. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: On 9/28 around 1744CT I call Hertz (918) 742-3453 Peoria location to let the staff know I was returning a 2022 Red Chevy Equinox because I had a plane to catch; spoke to a lady and was told no problem just drop keys in drop box and she'll close the ticket out for 9/28 in the morning. Around 1805 I park next to Roundhouse Consignments, locked the 2022 Red Chevy Equinox at the 4945 S Peoria Ave location, walked up to Hertzdoor and dropped off the keys in the drop box. I left to catch a flight to WA state. 9/29 around 0844PST I called Hertz (918) 742-3453 staff to confirm the car was returned, ticket was closed and I complained about car not being cleaned when I got it because my son found a cigar underneath the driver seat. The lady confirmed the ticket was closed and said there were no problems. No charges were to be placed because it was through my insurance. On 10/6 I received a charge from Hertz. I called the Peoria branch and spoke to Sandy she stated the car was returned 10/4 by Dropbox; I told her I dropped it off 09/28 and her staff confirmed the ticket closed 9/29; she stated she would investigate and get back with me by 1300CT 10/7. However, no one called; I called but was told she was out of the office. I called the District Manager Jennifer in the Memorial branch 10/10 and she stated according to GPS the car was never at the location on Peoria on 9/28. I filed a police report. On 10/13, A branch Manager told Detective Shaw the vehicle was at the Tulsa Peoria location on 09/28. I still haven't received my money back and apologies for charges/my time. After writing this review I will be contacting attorney due to circumstance stances of the weather and a verbal agreement between me and the locations manager my rental car wasn't overdue I received threatening text messages telling me I was going to inquire repossession fees legal fees that I was going to be arrested for Grandtheft auto phone calls are still coming in and with that all being said miles in my last rental car with this company was $11,000 I paid for this rental car with a nothing but points they also charged a card of an individual who wasn't even a renter on the contract which is illegal so I will be calling in attorney beware of this location in their fraudulent Waze and their bankrupt corporation read more

Let me start off by saying, I booked this rental car reservation several months in advance for a planned vacation of over 2,500 miles round trip and 10 days of rental. The first rental car I was given was a Kia Optima which had not been externally washed, the drivers front wheel well liner was hanging down and both front tires were below the wear bars and legally not allowed on roads. After sharing my concern with the rental agent I was then begrudgingly set up with another car, a  2018 Ford Fusion. There was not a smooth side on this car as it had been scratched or dented on every door, very embarrassing when pulling up to family events. The low washer fluid light came on after the first spray when leaving the rental lot. The car was also not externally washed. Before leaving that night I checked air pressue in tires and all tires were 8 psi low and spare tire had 19 psi (supposed to hold 60psi). I also checked under the hood and coolant was a quart below min level and oil was not showing on dipstick, it took two quarts to bring it up to full mark, of which I had to pay for. This is embarrassing for the money I had to pay and also after the manager at the local office was bragging about how well they take care of the vehicles here in Tulsa. It's a wonder this vehicle even made it back from this trip. I returned the vehicle on a day this location was closed. I called the next day to check in and make sure everything checked out ok and to let them know my troubles with the car. I called and was immediately placed on hold for 18 minutes then hung up on. I called back and Lisa asked to put me on hold, then hung up. I called a third time and nobody answered. Sadly this same thing was going on constantly while I was checking out my rental car. I needed a car quickly as my own vehicle had a major issue & was gonna be in the shop for several days. I needed to rent a car.....and was gonna renew my license today that expired TODAY! Kelly showed a lot of patience....Had to redo my reservation....and my husband showed & they held the car for him. It was $125 cheaper than Enterprise. While waiting for my husband....another reservation agent named Shawana showed so much patience, (I mean Jesus kind of patience) with a lady who wasn't nice...she was argumentative with Shawna....wanted a better car for the same price...and being an all around pain in the bumm. The service here was fine, staff is friendly enough. However, I reserved a sedan online and when I got there they didn't have any sedans available. The only thing they had was an SUV, which is fine except that they up-charged me for it. Never had a car rental company do that to me before. Any time I've had to be moved to a different size car, they've never charged me extra (even at other Hertz locations). read more

Really phenomenally bad! Got a message at 7pm that my car would not be ready the next day at noon. I'd reserved the car a week before. Couldn't call that night since they were closed. Called the next day and told to call back at 3, maybe a car would be ready. Got a car at 4. Discovered a thousand miles away that the two tires were bad. Was told I could drive back to swap the car. Uh, no. Then told I could wait until Monday when a store would be open (it was Friday). No again. Told I could drive 500 miles to an airport that was NOT on the way to where I was going to swap the car. Again, NO. Was told to go to a specific tire shop to get new tires. Then they refused to pay. Said I could pay and they'd reimburse me. NOT going to happen. After 3 hours, I got tires on the car paid for by Hertz. Returned the car early and was told there was a vacuuming charge. I pointed out that that was NOT in the contract. More run around in person, on the phone. RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I contested the charge with my credit card company and vowed to never use this craphole company again. read more

Michael at the Peoria location could not have been ruder. We rented a car and the entire electrical system was out of commission. We loaded the car and realized the windows would not roll down, locks and seats did not work. We drove straight to Hertz only to get a "tough luck" attitude from Michael. He claimed he was unable to give us a comparable vehicle- even though there were several available. He claimed they were all spoken for. Really? We certainly didn't ask for a broken car. He could have given us one and found another for the clients who reserved the cars but had not yet picked them up. We were traveling to our niece's wedding and we're pressed for time. The Peoria (Tulsa, Oklahoma) location lacks competent customer service associates. We returned a car close to the end of the business day and they told us to leave the keys and they would get to it when they could. They later charged us $600 for "cleaning fees" because they had to wash and vacuum the car. Apparently we were supposed to detail the car before returning it. When we complained they refused to do anything other that refer us to the manager. He offered to refund us the difference in what they paid to have the car cleaned and what they charged us. I refused and called the corporate office and spoke with someone who said the whole thing was ridiculous and he would refund my money. read more

Super nice staff and reliable economic cars. Last time I rented through these guys they were completely out of cars and I was wanting to rent a day earlier than my reservation. The woman who was at the desk took my phone number, wrote up the ticket so I wouldn't have to spend any time filling out paperwork the next morning since I would be short on time, and then went above and beyond a few hours later when she called my cell to let me know a car had been returned and I could come pick it up a day early after all. They're not always the cheapest but the service is top notch, especially for repeat customers. read more

I guess I am confused on why anyone has considered giving this place a 5 star. I would have in the beginning because they appeared so nice and welcoming after I got into a car accident and was without a car. After a month of being in the rental and returning it, I got a $1,200 charge on my account (keep in mind I was in a car accident and was not at fault). I called several times to figure out the charge, to which the general manager, Robby, in the area has NEVER returned my phone call. Shayla, in the local office, refused to remove the charge stating that I had signed a paper for their insurance. I have full coverage insurance. I had full coverage the entire time I had their rental, and pay good money for it monthly. I provided them with this information and my insurance company provided it as well and they continue to refuse to remove the charge. I called the billing department who then stated they would handle it. Fast forward a week and it's still out of my account. I call back and they say the local office declined the request, however the management at the local office refuses to talk to me, besides Shayla who refuses to take the charge away. I carry full coverage. I wasn't exactly given the option to decline their insurance, it was moreso which plan of ours would you like. They are manipulating, inconsiderate, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more
