URGENT: Fraud, 32 Unanswered Calls, and Financial Damages -- Staunton & Waynesboro VA To Enterprise Corporate Leadership, I am putting this in writing because 32 phone calls over three days have produced zero results -- only empty promises and what I can only describe as coordinated deflection. I made confirmed reservations through the Enterprise app at your Staunton, VA and Waynesboro, VA locations. Both stores called to cancel, claiming no vehicles were available. Your own app confirmed these reservations. Your corporate line then created new reservations -- which the same stores rejected again. This loop repeated for three days while your representatives told me each time that the issue was being escalated to a regional manager. Both stores told me those regional managers were all simultaneously on vacation. Nobody called me back. Nobody resolved anything. What your corporate line is doing -- confirming reservations they know or should know cannot be fulfilled, and repeatedly creating new ones while stores reject them -- is deceptive at best. At worst it constitutes a deceptive business practice and I intend to report it as such. Because I trusted your confirmed reservation, I passed on a competitor who had vehicles available. That decision cost me. I am now paying nearly three times my original travel budget for a company function, a direct and documentable financial loss caused by your system's failure. I am now taking the following steps simultaneously: -- Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- Filing a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division -- Posting a detailed public account on Google, Yelp, Reddit r/mildlyinfuriating, and social media tagging -- Consulting with an attorney regarding small claims for documented financial damages I still need a vehicle. TODAY. If someone with actual authority contacts me within 24 hours and resolves this, I will note the resolution in every public posting I make. If not, those posts go live and the complaints get filed. I have every confirmation number, every call log, every date and time, and the names of every representative I spoke with. Worst customer service on earth!!! I went here to get a rental car through my insurance. upon arriving at the establishment I was informed that they only have two vehicles available which is a SUV and an open bed truck . they offered me the SUV when I looked at the dash I noticed the tire pressure was dangerously low and no fuel was in the vehicle . I had a problem with the tire pressure being so low. I pointed it out to the representative. He told me he's gonna take the car to the back to pump the tires. He took the car over there and I was waiting outside. Another customer pulled up older lady and the driver for the company left with her in that car . I was informed that I'm not gonna get a vehicle today because when the driver picked us up at the body shop he saw my husband with a beer, mind you this beer was not opened. We were cleaning out our car and the beer went into a bag along with all the other stuff we took out the car , we were told to come back the next day to get a car. I went ahead and I left then called the insurance company . my insurance company told me to call another branch ,when we called the other branch they said we can't get a car because we are blocked from ever getting a car with them . so I was blocked because I refused to take a vehicle with dangerously low tire pressure . read more

I attempted to rent a car from this location. The problem I encountered wasn't necessarily this particular locations fault but they were able to make an exception to the rule and chose not to, leaving me stranded trying to get to my sisters wedding. Here is what happened. Make your own judgement, but I personally will not ever use enterprise to rent a car again. I rented the car by calling. Mistakenly I thought I was speaking with the actual location but had been redirected to a third party booking. The third party ask if I was paying credit or debit, at which point I said "wow, can I pay debit? Great!" And they person on the phone didn't ask any follow up questions, said I could pay with debit and I finished the booking. When I arrived at the enterprise. I was told I couldn't pay with my debit card cause I have an out of state drivers license. This was information I wasn't told on the phone nor was it clearly and obviously posted on the website. I understand there are rules and they most be followed. However, when a company openly misinformed you of a known policy, You should be accommodated. At least enough to get me in a car and on my way to a wedding. They wouldn't take any payment offered, debit, cash, or someone else's credit card and knowing left me stranded with all the other car rental places at closing time. I made a report of this incident over three weeks ago. I haven't heard anything from anyone. They have all of my contact information. Still waiting for a phone call! My family was refused a rental we had reserved even though we met all of the criteria. We were told by the Branch Manager that "We dont feel comfortable renting you a $40,000 car". We were profiled because people in the past have taken their cars. I'm in the military and have been for almost 18 years. That meant nothing. He look at my family and refused us services. Even after I read the policy and proved that we met all of the criteria. He wouldn't budge. He told us he has the right.... This is crazy. The car was reserved because this is the first vacation I've been able to take my family on due to the military in over five years... I attempted to rent from the location twice, both times they came up with some excuse not to rent. The first time I was able to rent from Budget in Charlottesville to make up for it. The second time they claimed that they couldn't accept cards without a chip, which was a first with any car rental agency that I have rented from before. He claimed that it was a 'new policy' which wasn't on the website or claimed in any conversations I have had with Enterprise. Duly noted not to rent from this location. read more

Well ,where do i start ? I rented a van for 8 days it was suppose to be 11 days and paid over 1400. i have nothing good to say about this person who has took advantage of a family that was trying to take their very first big long trip and who had already spent a lot on a place to stay and didn't have much to spend. Anyways, to start with the price that's was agreed at first was $900.00 and ended up paying $1450.00. I was told that $300.00 was for a deposit. I know when your making reservations n planning for big long trips that you plan a certain amount since you have everything in order and prepared, if any company tells you an amount and waits til day of you trip to tell you its 500.00 more it's crazy. Next they wouldn't except my card so i had to pull money off, then couldn't pull but so much off. I had more than enough cash to cover it on my card but the atm or bank could only let me pull so much daily. So i was in one hell of a bind from start to finish. My kids were so upset and crying and i was upset too with everything i was doing trying to come up with cash. Finally my dad lent it to me.The car was the only nice thing that i had going on I had absolutely had no issues with van I loved it. But we cleaned it out 3 times during the trip plus right before returning it we vacumed it for almost an hour. It was in pretty good condition might have been short on gas but we didn't destroy nothing. As we were leaving our trip we get a call asking if we were coming back and when. I then felt like we had to rush . We got home a little late so we brought the car back the next morning . They are now charging us for an extra 3 days . In the begining we were suppose to need the car for 11 days well when i almost couldn't do the trip cause i didn't have enough we talked about taking a couple days off. Which i came up with the money so i don't understand how or why he had us down for only 8 days. Its all a bunch of bullshit. This is not all over yet. Well he has now told us we will not be allowed to rent from 3 other companies . I have it saved in my email and I might not be rich but I will take my last bit of money and get me a lawyer if something does not get fixed. read more

Enterprise has always been my favorite car rental company. The office in Waynesboro, VA. is a class act. This past rental was handled with the usual professionalism and efficiency except that there was confusion as to pick up time. When I arrived first thing in the morning,I told them that I could come back later, but they quickly prepared a car and got me out on time. Every time I go there, they are pleasant and professional. The price is always competitive and they are quick to steer you to deals and perks. They once even drove me to another Enterprise to get a car when the one I needed was not available. I only rent a few times a year, but I have stopped even bothering to comparison shop. Enterprise is my company and the Waynesboro crew is top notch. read more

Honestly, I am SUPER DISGUSTED AND DONE WITH ENTERPRISE IN WAYNESBORO VIRGINIA. I've lived here for 20 years and tried to rent from them 3 times... It's all lovely on the phone or online... but when I show up to get the car there is ALWAYS A COMPLICATION & I can't get the rental. MY PLANS = SHOT... EVERY TIME !!! "Dear Enterprise, all I wanna do is give you some money for the use of your vehicle... but because of your Waynesboro office's racial profiling we never link" . I'AM DONE WITH ENTERPRISE! From my perspective, the moral of this story is if you are ANY shade of black or brown and you don't have a major credit card because...hell, you just don't...? DO NOT go to Enterprise Rental in Waynesboro Virginia for a car... Because any confidence you had before you went in there that will be checked at the door and you will be "put back in your place".
