Waiting an hour for our car. The slowest logistically run business I have ever encountered. Staff was nice but doesn't matter if you have to wait an hour for your car after you made the reservation in advanced and filled out everything online. It's 2025 enterprise, get it together. We booked online and it said there were cars available, but once we got there, they were completely sold out. They were very unhelpful, didn't suggest alternative options, and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I would not trust this rental place, since there were many families that were waiting around without rides, and no other rental car brands had any cars at this airport either. read more

My wife and I rented a car from Enterprise of our Wilmington vacation and we wanted to pick up at the airport. We got a Chevy Malibu and it was a nice car, it rode great and things were smooth for the most part, we did have a couple hiccups though. -When I first arrived at the counter the guy working told me that he had started checking in another customer but the baggage claim started moving so he said he wanted to go get his bags and come back. Because he had started the process there was apparently no way to get me started so I had to wait 10 minutes or more for this guy to get his bags, come back and finish his agreement so I could get my car, it was a little annoying. I felt like if he chose to leave then they should have cancelled his progress and made him start over when he returned instead of making me and another customer wait for him to return. -When I returned the car the woman at the counter took the keys and told me she had to go out to the car and get some information but that I was good and I could leave, she said they'd email me the receipt. I still haven't received that email more than 24hr later so now I need to call tomorrow just to verify everything did get completed and we are good on the return. I might use Enterprise again in the future but I think I might consider other options first just given the difficulty of the pick up and return process. Did love the car though, might consider a Malibu for my next car. read more

I can confirm that reservations are meaningless. They will simply tell you they are out of cars. Be aware that you may waste your time, and potentially money if you use an app to get to the airport to pick up your "reservation" read more

Pretty pathetic experience. We had made a reservation to pick up a car today and when we showed up to pick up the car that we reserved, we were told that they did not have any available. The girl we spoke to told us we were simply out of luck and could "try again later". I We were given no help or even an apology. Truly a terrible and inconvenient experience. read more

Absolute WORST customer service that I have EVER received!!! I was refused service by the "so called airport manager" simply because of the color of my skin!!!! I asked for the area manager's contact information and he refused to give it to me and then refused me service. I have called enterprise customer service, contacted them via Facebook and email with NO contact from ANYONE from management!!! I was forced to file a civil rights complaint with the US Government!!! This incident happened on JULY 21, 2020!!!!!!! The saddest part is the "manager" was rude to me as soon as I walked up to the counter. I explained to him that I had an early morning appointment at Duke hospital for pre-op testing for a major surgery!! He tried to put me in a car that held 5 people when I needed 7 seats (2 car seats and space for my mothers rolling walker.. she has dementia). I TOLD him ALLLL of this!!! Needless to say I ended up spending 2xs as much at Thrifty rental car because I couldn't miss my appointment. I wish I could give NEGATIVE stars!!! read more

Customer Service atrocious! I got to the airport for my rental and was 30 minutes early. The inexperienced counter employee said I had to wait until 4 o'clock to get my car. I said why would I have to do that please issue me the car. The response was I don't have a compact to give you but for 13 dollars more I can give an upgrade now. I don't know if this was a regular scam that she does or not but it sure felt like it. Bottom line I recommend if you see a mature blonde woman at the counter go to a counter next door. read more

Twice in a row Enterprise has made a reservation that it was unable to fullfill. Well the first time they rented me the car, but it broke down and I was stranded 12 hours on the side of the road because it was the weekend and roadside assistance was not available due to some internal problem. This time I had to cancel my family vacation because the lot was empty and they could not help me in any way. Simply amazing! read more

I arrived early for a reserved Luxury car. The three men behind the counter seemed to be happy to provide me with a car THEY where sure I would like. I told them no thanks and rented 3 days with full coverage from another agency! This seems to happen every time at Enterprise Rent a Car. Thumbs down for the reservation agent. DO NOT RENT from Enterprise at the Wilmington Airport. My family and I rented a car from Enterprise during the Christmas holiday. We returned the car Christmas Day afternoon, and I forget to leave the car keys at their desk. I called three times on Christmas day and three times on 26 December, could not get anyone at Enterprise to answer their phone, and left two voicemail messages. I called again on 27 December, and someone finally returned my call. Since it was now Friday, I had to use Federal Express to guarantee Saturday delivery. (They only had one key fob for our car, and the USPO could not guarantee Saturday delivery to the Wilmington market.) The Enterprise employee failed to tell me that I would be charged for the additional days but found out when the receipt downloaded into my Inbox. (I am a frequent Enterprise Rental Car customer.) I called to complain, took responsibility for not returning the key, explained my diligence in trying to reach Enterprise, and was told that the person with whom I spoke would speak with a manager and call me back. Thirteen days later after not receiving a call back, I called Enterprise again only to be told that they would not refund me the two extra days that it took them to return my call. I was also told that "no one can leave us a voicemail message." So, an Enterprise employee, one of their managers, called me a liar. I have had issues with Enterprise in the past but none that equal the above or that caused me to write a review to encourage others to rent from other companies. Please use any other rental car company other than Enterprise Wilmington Airport. read more

Be careful with add-ones at contract signing. Even though the reservation did not include additional insurance or roadside assistance, these items must be "declined" at time of rental. Several times I have seen these items attached to final bill even when verbally declined. I believe that associates are "perked" to get these charges added to agreement. Note that these add-ones can DOUBLE the total bill! read more

We showed up to pick up our rental for the week. The very nice lady Debra at the counter went out of her way to make sure I had exactly what I needed. I had forgotten some paperwork which I needed to pick the car up. So after speaking with her I was able to provide her with everything I needed in 15 minutes. After that it was a few minutes and we were leaving in our brand new Jeep Compass. What a pleasure to do business with and so easy when you have the right paperwork. Flawless service! Ready for me when I arrived and the vehicle was perfect. Had to call in the night before dropping the car off to gain some clarity as to what needed to happen with my receipt and where the car and keys needed to be dropped as my flight was very early prior to their opening that day. The representative who spoke to me on the phone was clear and concise, answering all my questions fully. As promised, I received an email copy of my receipt shortly after they opened that morning and they had looked over the vehicle. Great experience! This location called 1 hour before my pick up time to tell me they had no cars left, I was literally in the car 1 hour into my trip to the airport when I got the call that they would not be able to fill my reservation. By that time all car rental companies in the airport were sold out. I had to buy a different flight home which cost me a total of 150$ extra and was overall extremely inconvenient. The worker also told me that many reservations that day were not going to be able to be filled. There was no alternate options given to me and I was basically just told "sorry there is nothing we can do for you". read more

Probably one of the worse experiences I have ever had with Enterprise. Rented the car from the local FBO at the airport and repeatedly asked about a one way fee. I was told that there was not one. I reserved the car with a company credit card and left instructions that I would call with a different card. I called the morning after I returned the car to another location and gave them my credit card number over the phone. Later that day I received a call from my bank stating that my credit card had been used at a grocery store and asked if I was in North Carolina. No I was not. The only person that had my credit card number in North Carolina was the lady that answered the phone. So now I have a canceled credit card and have to wait on another card. I have left multiple messages with this location for the manager to call me back and have not heard from him once. I have notified the airport police and they are now investigating. If you use a credit card here please keep a close eye on it. Won't rent from Enterprise anymore. read more

My parents reserved a car to pick up from this location when their plane landed in town. They are cooperate members and use Enterprise every time they need a rental car. This location closes at 9pm. After their plane had landed, they got to the counter at 8:50 and the man behind the counter said he could no longer help him because they were closed. This is 10 minutes before closing time. The car was already reserved and waiting for my parents arrival. All he had to do was have them sign and hand them the keys. I don't understand why companies allow their employees to be so lazy and keep them employed. They close at 9pm, so all employees need to serve customers until 9pm. My parents didn't want to put up a fight for a car they had already reserved, after a long day of travel, so they were forced to go to another car rental company. Enterprise needs to realize what their employees are doing... Steering quality customers to other car rental companies. read more

I ended up paying $180 for a reservation that said I was paying $70. I've rented much nicer and more expensive cars for less at other Enterprise locations. This time I just wanted a standard car for the purpose of getting out of t own. The guy behind the counter wasn't as friendly as the people I usually deal with at this company.
