When you go to South Dennis for a few days visiting a friend and you decide on going to the movies, this is actually a nice place to stop by. It is located in a plaza with stores and restaurants, there is plenty of parking which is nice. The theatre itself is clean and the prices are reasonable. They offer some food and drinks. The theatre is small but the seats are very comfortable. My friend told me they are new. I enjoyed the movie and it was very clean. When you want a movie night and want to avoid the crowed large theatres, this is actually great place to go. read more

Saw The Devil Wars Prada 2. My negative comment about the theater was the very annoying VOLUME! It was so loud and I have a compromised left ear! I had to cover my ears at times!! Just awful. I watched two movies this day with my two kids. I spent over $100 there. You would at least expect a LITTLE cleanliness. I was appalled by the condition of every inch of this place. And I do not blame the employees that were working. I'm sure they don't get paid enough to keep up with what is in these pictures. EVERY single seat was like this. There must be a huge rodent problem, this company are allowing piles of food to be left for them. There's no telling what kind of filth and diseases they are leaving behind. The fountain was disturbing to even look at, when it's supposed to be a nice touch to the place. Mold and built up scum. Again I wouldn't hold any low level employee accountable for this. I can't say enough about how comfortable the seating is, the seats recline and are super comfortable to sit in, there's a nice table to set your snacks on. if I could give zero stars, I would this place is absolutely a terrible environment. A terrible place. I drove about 45 minutes because a manager had told me that I could go out and I could see the movie I had purchased, but I had to leave due to my baby being with me and not wanting to ruin for the others so I had called multiple times to get the phone hung up on me or just not answered at all I called about 5 to 10 times then out of the circumstance I said let's go and just go because we had the emergency tickets and when I show up from about a 45 minute drive they told me I cannot see the movie and that they could do nothing about it no apology no nothing just absolutely disrespect no regard for the customer. All of this team needs to go out and work on their customer service. All of this team needs check because then the manager he also had no apology no empathy and that that's what it takes to be a manager in customer service so I urge traveling a far to see a movie to come to a movie theater not choose this one terrible customer service bad crew to switch this crew up and if this somehow reaches the district manager I urge that you whole crew for the lack of understanding for the lack of customer service for just absolutely no regard for your customers and if you maintain business, you need to get rid of bad apples like these read more

The pricing is good (much better than Regal Cinemas) and i've never had any issues here. I have not been inside the theater since they have upgraded their chairs but they are literal recliners so I am excited for the next time I come here. I definitely recommend this movie theater. read more

Entertainment Cinemas is a typical 80's style movie theater. The seats are nice and semi recline. It was odd going to a movie theater in a strip mall, but all in all nothing overly special about it, but it does its job. It does have a game room and a small water fountain by the restrooms which is cute. So if you're in the area, and looking for a good movie, it definitely does the job. read more

Once a welcome relief from the mall multiplex, the South Dennis cinemas are a good example of the classic Cape business that can get away with no capital reinvestment because of the limited options and the thronging masses that keep entertainment options in business. Beyond summer business, year round population now is suffficient to support even more movie theaters than are in easy range on the Cape, but with limits on the big-box style development new stadium-style multiplex theaters are no where on the horizon. So: tired theater, with broken seats left unrepaired and odd aisles and sight lines that belie the relatively recent vintage, claustrophobic corridors, only one set of restrooms (on the outside of the ticket taking station), premium-priced concessions for well below average fare (coffee is on the menu still, but I was informed "we don't serve it anymore because the coffee machine kept breaking") and a somewhat cavalier customer service attitude. The mall theater isn't any better, and the micro cinemas farther afield (Cape Cinema, Wellfleet, etc.) are tiny and only have a few movie choices, so there are no real happy alternatives. The one plus here is that parking in the strip mall is closer than the mall, and Patriot Square traffic sucks less than 28/Mall/Hyannis traffic. That this is noticeable in the off season is not a good sign for the future though. read more

My boyfriend, myself, his sister and future bro-in-law needed something to do on a lazy Sunday in the Cape. Since we were all in a movie mood, we decided to visit the local theater to where we are staying. Entertainment Cinemas shows all the major motion pictures that are out now and are playing all day and night from about 11am-9:30pm. Nice! The individual theaters in this theater are small -- about 80-100 seats per theater. I felt like this added to the charm of a small vacation town like were we are. I like it! Prices are decent to get into this theater -- about $6.75 for matinee and $10 for night. $3 extra for 3D. Sweet! Snacks and drinks are comparable to everywhere else --$4 and up for everything. My only gripe was the guy working the concession stand was a little rude -- he let the people behind us in line cut in front of us without thinking any second thought about it. Fail! Oh well, what can you do, though. We are on vacation and didn't say anything about it. Overall, if you need something relaxing to do while in the Cape, come to Entertainment Cinemas and get a small town feel of a local theater. We enjoyed it so much here, that we are planning on visiting the theater again before we leave to go back home to CA. Happy movie going! read more

Pretty decent movie theatre. We saw an early 10:20am showing of The Way, Way Back and loved the movie. The theatre was great for what it was - although it was mobbed when we were leaving. Get here early because this place will fill up on a cloudy, cool and rainy day. The bathrooms could use some serious cleaning. It smelled like 1,000 years of urine. Not fun. I have never felt the need to review a movie theater before, but I really need to give some major love to Entertainment Cinemas in Patriot Square. They are always so nice and friendly. In particular, last night there was a young gentleman (very tall, not sure of his name) who went above and beyond as my aunt was having a minor medical emergency. The staff here just seem to enjoy their jobs and are good at what they do! Yes, the facilities could use a bit of updating, but once the movie starts you really don't notice. This is an older place, the soda is cold, pop corn somewhat fresh but when on the cape with nothing to do it's an OK place to go. They are currently renovating, adding new chairs. They must have received a great deal in these chairs. Very uncomfortable. We are thinking we most likely will not return because of the chairs. And we live only about half a mile away. Went to see a movie at 4:10, we purchased tix at exactly 4:10, from a frowning, rude employee. First words are "What Movie"...anyways, got into theater while previews were on...only to find the first 2 rows to be empty on a Monday afternoon. The first row is literally 6 ft. away from the screen so the neck-breaker seats were not going to be an option. Oh, well. We leave, and go to get a refund, and the RUDE girl at the ticket area says, "well, there are 40 seats available in that theater',...um no there were not....maybe 15, and only in the first two rows. "Ugh, whatever, I guess I can give you a refund. It will have to be cash though."....ok, not a prob. Our first and last time at this dirty, retro, terrible customer serviced theater. read more

Sound was great, theater was clean and comfortable. Watched some attendants with big flashlights swoop in like a swat team and bust some teenage boys for bringing in outside food and drinks (popcorn and soda prices were typically outrageous). Kids later sheepishly reappeared without their sodas. Screen was nice and large but had a distracting hole in it. When I mentioned this to the manager on the way out he replied "oh yeah, we're working on that." The Staff is Very Unfriendly to children, I went to see Jumanji this evening with my three older daughters and my 3 year old happy little boy. This grouchy man gave him a look as he entered into the hall of the theaters, then on our way out of a movie he saw my son happily leaving the theater and he yelled at him to calm down, then we played in the arcade for a while, and out to the lobby to take one photo, before we left but as we waited on the kiosk my son was laughing with his sister..no one was around!. The man came and yelled at them again!.. I was standing right there and he did not say a word to me, but he was yelling at my little son Shut Up ! Shut Up ! Or Im going to Make u leave!. What if my son had autism or could not help but be excited..He is 3 for christ sake. This man noted to me that he was the manager and could say what he wanted because its a privatly owned theater...! That does not give him the authority to scare or scorn a toddler who was not disturbing anyone!. He continued to talk poorly about us to the other staff members as we were walking out the door.. He could have confronted me appropriately and respectfully if he felt that my child was being too loud. He didnt have the right to disapline my child or threaten him to leave.! horrable Customer service for a manager! Miserably uncomfortable seats. You can't sit straight up - the seats are all at the default position of reclined. If you try to sit up straighter, you'll just slide down the feat until you're on the floor. Saw a good movie there but was counting the minutes until it was over because it was so uncomfortable. Their online ticket ordering is a bit deceptive. If you click the time you want it defaults back to the current date. When I arrived the manager would not update the tickets. They did not respond to e-mails (despite saying they would in a 24 hour period). Overall customer service is not a priority. read more

The lobby appears to be fairly clean, but the theater is DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY. There is a pungent, sour odor as soon as you opened the door to theater #3. Every single nook & cranny is stuffed with popcorn remnants. Your shoes STICK to the non-carpeted areas. The seats are all stained and ripped. It is VIAL. The management should be ASHAMED. I'm considering a call to the board of health. Absolutely, filthy, nasty, disgusting dirty. They not only clearly do not clean in between daily movie viewings, it looks like they haven't cleaned it out in a MONTH or MORE. Our friends saw the showing before us and their eldest son said that they hadn't cleaned it out from the showing before theres, except they saw the first showing of the day! Gross. Nasty. Filthy. Disgusting. The management should be fired and the staff re-trained and expected to come back up to par or else they should be fired, too. I was appalled by how gross it was. I couldn't even put my pocketbook on the floor ... it was too sticky and nasty. Thank GOD none of us had to use the bathroom ... if the theater is that disgusting, we'd need hazmat suits before I'd allow my children into the bathrooms!!! Ewww. read more
