We love this place! The food is mediocre, but we've been coming here for four years and have made good friends with the staff. My college friends and I are a huge fan of their happy hour specials, endless chips and salsa, and the best margaritas in Midland! It's not the fanciest or most authentic, but the food comes out fast and they let you hang out as long as you'd like (and aren't being disruptive, of course) Great for large parties and groups. Don't even want to give this one star but their is no other option! Ordered and was taking a very long time for our food. Problems with the salsa from the get go. First the top on the salsa was hard to open and then nearly squirted on our clothes. Got over that because it missed... after eating chips and salsa, scooped up a chip with salsa and there was a glob of hair in it!! Yuck!!! Was definitely turned off and looked more like some kind of kinky body hair!! GROSS!!! No matter what kind it should not have happened. We told our waitress that we were horrified and that we were leaving. She said she would have our bill at the register for our soft drink. We went up and said we wanted to speak with a manager because it was not our fault the hair was in our salsa and didn't think we should have to pay. The manager didn't agree and tried to still make us pay. We refused and walked out. They were mad! Do not go here ever! We never will! read more

One of my favorite restaurants, staff turns over a lot but there are some who stay, so yes service may sometimes be subpar. Food service is fast and it's always been delicious in my opinion. Love the fresh salsa and chips, love the fajita quesadilla and fajita rellenos, carne asada, chicken enchilada, the list goes on. The first few times going to this restaurant were great. However, the last two trips have been less than satisfying. When we arrived at 8:15, our server couldn't wait to tell us how she was so looking forward to going home early, but then we arrived. You almost could here the mid-70s wah-wah-wa laugh track. Sadly that was the high point of the evening, it went downhill from there like a rocket ship on rails. Aside from the fact that we had a better handle on available tap beers, once things settled down and we finally got our food, the evening had a hint of maybe being salvaged. Then 9:01 rolled around. At that point a gentleman walked in with what can best be described as Midland barrio-chic. I'm not sure exactly where in the Entre Amigos hierarchy this cat fell, but he proceeded to turn all the TV's off. Normally, I'm pretty excited when the place I just paid to have dinner cuts all the lights before I finish the main course, but he shut it down right when MSU fired in a potential three pointer versus Duke to tie the game. That's pretty much a colossal douche nozzle move, even for a Duke fan. Plus, I just ordered their over priced Negra Modelo 23 ounce draft, which I had to pound out of sheer anger to get out in time to get home for the rest of the game. Basically, this place is perfect to those low self esteem diners looking for quasi-dominatrix experience to tell you what a shitty customer you are and charge top dollar for the thrill of it all. I'm hoping one day another Mexican place opens up in Midland that just punches me in the face when I ask for a table then just serves me food but keeps the monitors powered up. The service always seems a bit dicey and I am kind of used to that. If you go in with the idea that the service is not going to be the best than you won't be disappointed. The food is always good; I have never had a bad meal there. The decor is bright and cheery. It is worth going to. read more

I used to come here all the time, now the food is disgusting and cold, and it seems like there is no sort of organization for example random workers would just walk up front and say "who needs a table?" and it was already asked 2 seconds earlier. The waiter came and took our order, and was back no longer than 10 mins later with food that was not even warm, and the cheese burritos cheese was not even melted, at all..... My drink was empty when he dropped our food off, I waved at him several times to get his attention, after being very obviously ignored my friend had to go get the waiter herself, just lacked everything it had, the waiter looked stressed and I dunno what happened, but it looks like I am not alone, at all. read more

Very unimpressed. We went for 1/2 priced margs, but they should note that there are a few stipulations that go with that; you must also purchase an entree and it's only the smallest margarita that's offered at half price. The margaritas tasted like lemon-lime Gatorade, and for the first time in my life, I sent something back at a restaurant. I ordered a burrito and an enchilada. The enchilada was okay, but the burrito was literally shredded chicken in a tortilla with a little sauce on the top. We will not be back. read more

This was our first visit to Entre Amigos. We were pleasantly surprised ! We were seated quickly and brought complimentary chips and salsa. Our server was Abbey. I am giving it one star because the food sucks. Very bland and 15 bucks for it. I bet the refried beans are straight out of can. Come on dry pinto beans in bulk has to be cheaper than a GFS can. This restaurant has gone down the drain over the last year or so. I always give it another shot every few months & it disappoints every time. The service is consistently bad, and last night I felt like a bother to ours. We had a small group and all our food came out at separate times and it was clear my food had been microwaved not prepared. My beans were hard and crusted over which made them unappealing and bad tasting. We ordered margaritas and they were out of glasses so they came in beer mugs, only to taste only of sour mix. Our bills were messed up and the system froze up once our server went to fix them. All in all it took over twenty minutes to get the bills, only to wait longer for them to be corrected. Very disappointed with entre amigos who's standards seem to have gone down immensely over the last year or so. read more

While the food isn't authentic Mexican or even true Tex-Mex the food is good for what it is. You're getting burritos smothered in cheese sauce but if you have the right expectations you can have a decent meal. Their salsa isn't bad and the have a decent chile verde sauce. We had lunch at the Freeland location. I ordered tacos and my husband had the shrimp chimichanga. The food was good but the portion sizes were way too small. The restaurant had very few choices for alcohol and the mixed drink I ordered tasted flat and watered down. Prices are high compared to how little food you get. The servers there were not friendly at all and spent more time on their phones than anything. We won't be returning. read more

The only thing good about this place was that it looked very clean. When we first walked in the hostess was very uninviting. She didn't have a smile on her face, she looked very sad and annoyed that we were coming in. The place wasn't very busy, so I don't understand why she looked so upset, it wasn't like she was overwhelmed with customers. We sat at a nice table, the waiter was also very uninviting. He was just straight to the point, wasn't welcoming at all. I felt very unwelcome at the restaurant. The fajitas were decent. But the Mexican combo meal was not good at all. I have a burrito and it was just ground beef in the shell, the red sauce on top was gross. The salsa for the chips, was very cold and felt weird eating very cold salsa, I have never had that happen at a Mexican restaurant for the salsa tasted like it was before.
