The eye exam here is one of, if not the best eye exam I have ever received in the decades I have had glasses (my Newport Beach optician did have a sexy ASMR voice tho). Throughout the entire exam process I was learning things I did not know. Except, the exam and the delightful staff in front are the highlights. The downside is "JK," the dude in the eyewear section whose name must be an abbreviation for being a JOKE ruined that all. Now, let me go on a slight tangent about news outlets to the recording industry which have been impacted by the internet, and the eyewear industry is no different. Instead of paying $300-800 for prescription eyewear, you can now purchase online for $50-$150. So people who NEED eyeglasses, not as a luxury can now afford to do so. Along with people such as myself, can now buy 3-4 pairs without the exorbitant costs. Except you know who hates that, JK. On my original visit I never got my PD, so I called in and spoke with the very helpful and friendly "A." She said "come back in," and they could get it for me. I was like "great, I'll be back in." Well, this is when the Joker steps in and says he doesn't need to do this, and he's going out of his way to do it. That's when I'm like WTF, d'bag, don't go totally out of your way for me." His response, "I said I would do it, so why are you angry?" BECAUSE where I come from (Earth), if you're going to do something for someone, do it. STFU about how you're doing me a favor or that the person should be oh so grateful to you (I was till it was brought up by the Joker). So this all stems from businesses such as these not wanting to give out a PD because you will then go online and purchase glasses. So that animosity from losing a product sale is now being projected at the consumer, which BTW is not my problem. It's also not my problem that a record exec can't buy as much blow, and afford as many sugar babies as they once could. Now they're poor and cruising in their Lambo only with their wives. So, these businesses need to change with the times vs whining to their customers coming in for an eye exam that they don't need to give me my PD (if so, state that up front prior to an eye exam for future customers). read more

WOW. This is quite literally the best optometry I've ever stepped foot in. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable - they even remembered my name when I stopped in a week later to pick up my contacts! The optometrist talked to me - at length - about my long-term life goals and encouraged me to teach abroad; her ability to relate to me on a personal level made me feel safe and cared for. Each employee takes the time to talk you through every phase in an eye exam, are upfront with costs and insurance coverage, and will go above and beyond to accommodate you. The office itself is clean, modern, and offers a wide variety of eyewear options. What a pleasant professional experience from Envision Eye Care today! The office is very clean and modern, the latest technology is definitely found here. Dr. Jeong and her assistant were very thorough in the tests they did (a thousand times better then I had last at a local chain store). I am so glad I stepped outside of the box and found a local business. Dr. Jeong definitely took her time to ask questions and really care about me and providing great service. She was extremely thorough in her examination. Loved her!!!!! JK the Optician who helps you select your glasses was awesome at what he does as well. He was very patient with me selecting new frames and great at bringing me selections and weeding them out, rather than me getting lost in their large selection of frames. He really wanted to know about my daily life and activities to select the correct pair of lenses with the frames as well. While I did not recognize some of the brand names of the frames I feel that I will get the same quality or better on my new glasses/lenses for a much better price than the previous chain store. I was pleasantly surprised the price difference/value from the last time I purchased glasses. Glasses should be done in a week and a half and I am sure the results will be great and if not I have all confidence that they will make everything right. I am so glad I discovered this office, everything was amazing with top notch service and I definitely plan on making Dr. Jeong my permanent Optometrist and never looking back. LOL! read more

My daughter has gone to this Optometrist for annual check-ups twice so far, and we have nothing but good things to say about them. The doctor is great with kids, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly with picking out glasses. The shop itself is very clean and modern, which is welcoming! I returned to this business and purchased another pair of eyewear despite being taken aback at rebuttal comments about a review i left about a previous eyewear purchase. The review was good with one exception about the AR coating. The Doctor wrote a response to my review basically blaming me for buying an inferior product. I wouldn't have handled it that way but I was satisfied overall so I returned for a new exam and new eyeglasses. I was shocked when both the Doctor and staff made comments to me about my review, that it was my fault for buying cheap AR. I should have left THEN. What was a miscommunication about the quality coating I purchased became an embarrassment for me as a Customer. I bought new glasses that day but It didn't end well. Even though it's been awhile since this incident I feel I needed to update this & end it. I had a cataract removed about 6 months after getting the new glasses. Bottom line they needed to remake one of the lenses due to the surgery. The manager wanted to charge me for it & gave me a hard time about remaking the lenses after the surgery even though Medicare remakes lenses for free & so does my Insurance. He didn't bother to check & was argumentative & lied to me.. I didn't return to have it done there & never will. I don't like being lied to o treated in that manner. Not a good experience. read more

I went in to get glasses for the first time and every single staff member was helpful, detailed, and kind. I scheduled an appointment the morning of, and was assisted promptly after arriving. I stopped in for an eye exam after making an appointment and was impressed with the technology that they use here. There are 3 separate machines that they test your vision with (one of which tests for glaucoma) before you even see the optometrist, then she uses 2 more machines on your eyes as well. The optometrist asked questions and took her time to conduct a thorough exam. I was not ready to purchase glasses at this time - my appointment was at the end of the day and I didn't want to feel rushed, and there was no pressure whatsoever to buy glasses. Just a reminder that I could stop in without an appointment to buy them. A very pleasant experience overall. And I do plan to return to buy glasses at my convenience. read more

On April 26th, I was scheduled for the same routine eye exam at Envision Eyecare. An Exam I have received without issue for 20+ years, all over the country. I was unable to be examined because the exam room did not accommodate my wheelchair. This is a fact. I was told - very politely - by your front office staff that I could not be seen from my wheelchair. This is a fact. When I pushed back on the staff, they went to the back to talk to Doctor Jeong. The doctor did not return with the staffer, the staffer returned with a message for me that if I was unable to transfer into the chair, I could not receive my exam. This is a fact. I did not pursue this any further - the doctor had been consulted, why would I continue to waste everyone's time? No one offered to assist me into the chair, like you seem to think. That is a fact. I decided I was not interested in forcing you to take my money. Instead, I left the office. I stayed outside of your office, crying. I called my spouse to pick me up and shared my experience with them and later my friends.  I do not desire to defame your business. My goal is to share my perspective, so you have adequate knowledge to *make improvements* to your office, when possible. Individuals with disabilities are a minority group whose needs are often not met because there is no system for improving inaccessible businesses. The onus then falls on people with disabilities, which exhausts us and prompts us to simply take our business elsewhere. After 34 years of experiencing this, I have decided I will do my best to voice my concerns, politely, from now on. This is hard for me, but I do it in hopes of improving the businesses I experience. If you are within minimal standards for the state, and that is good enough for your business, that is your right; however, you have now been told that these minimal standards exclude a large portion of the disabled population. You must now decide if you will use this information to improve your business over time, or not.  When I shared my experience with my friends and family, they came to my defense. I did not write a review - until now. Instead, I reached out to JK and Dr. Jeong directly, via email, on April 28th. It is now May 11th, the statements from my friends have received defensive public replies, but you have not responded to me. This seems to be your chief complaint in my visit to your office. I did not continue to engage with you in person, as I was very emotional and no effort was made on the part of the doctor to engage with me. So, I emailed you. I did this to share my experience, calmly, in hopes that you will see that your current approach is not inclusive and needs to be amended. Perhaps you are meeting minimum standards for accessibility, but would you accept minimum standards in terms of eyecare? Likely not. I encourage you to take this feedback and remember it the next time you discuss whether or not it is financially or morally worth it to obtain a retractable exam chair. I hope you will then choose more than the minimum standards, and truly embrace a business model of caring for all people. I am not interested in continuing this conversation and I will not respond to additional comments. On April 27th, I resumed my search for an eye exam and located (easily) accessible, accommodating, kind, eyecare from businesses who strove to select equipment and offices which allow for more than the minimum standard of accessibility. read more

This business is not part of a chain from what we can tell, which was important to us because we'd rather support local businesses as much as possible. The staff at Envision Eye Care are top notch! I have been in need of a new pair of sunglasses. Being Chinese American, it is hard to find any that fit my face. Envision Eye Care has a large selection of Asian fit options, both for prescription glasses and sunglasses. The manager, JK, helped me navigate through all the frames providing me information about each (without being forceful). I ended up purchasing pair of SeeSun (a South Korean brand) that fit perfectly. I have gotten many compliments about the uniqueness of the design! The office is located on the second floor of the shopping center, off Parker Road and Belleview. The area is home to many diverse families, include Asian Americans. So if you are also Asian American, I highly recommend Envision to find your next pair of eyewear. The space is beautifully designed and modern. Uncomfortable as a Black shopper. The doctor/proprietor was warm to my 2 (non-Black) companions. When it was my turn to choose glasses, I was told I asked too many questions. Got cancelled on with three hours' notice after making arrangements to take time off with work to get into an appointment. If they don't value my time enough to give me sufficient notice to cancel, why should I bother going? It's disappointing as I see many positive reviews for this practice, and a number of people from my company were curious as to how it went as they are in need of optical services - I'm glad they showed how much they care about their patients' time. EDIT: The practice's response tried to pin this on me; however, I work in an occupation that deals with extraordinarily sick patients. It is incredibly difficult for me to make arrangements to take time away from them to see a doctor. In this case, I was given 3 hours notice - even a heads up in the morning that the doctor was not feeling well would've been sufficient. Every doctor I've had in the past that has had to cancel on me due to sickness, did so in the morning. read more

When it came time to select frames, they were so patient. I think I tried on just about every pair they had .... and they have a large selection. Outstanding Optometrist that specializes in ASIAN FIT GLASSES!!! I had to make the switch from my optometrist of over 20 years but I wasn't disappointed. My first impressions when walking into the office: modern, clean, bright, and organized. Everything from the initial intake to the eye exam, contact fitting, and glasses fitting was professional, timely, and informative. The machines in the eye exam rooms are very advanced and the exam was a little different than what I'm used to (in a good way). Dr. Jeong was a pleasure to work with and the first pair of contacts she had me try were 1,000 times better than what I've had in the past. The best part of my visit was the glasses fitting. They not only offer sooooo many modern styles but they fit my asian features!!! Living in Colorado, this is extremely rare and I've always wore ill fitting glasses. I was so impressed with the whole visit! The exam and fittings were a little expensive (with my insurance) but it was well worth it. The glasses I got fitted for were actually fairly priced and top notch quality. The contacts I was fitted for were less expensive (and more comfortable) than the contacts I was wearing before. I had been on the search for a new pair of glasses for a while, before my first visit to Envision. I stopped in without an appointment (although appointments are preferred), and was immediately greeted by Jenny. From the moment you enter the office, you notice how beautiful it is. The office is clean and bright with white, shiny modern furnishings. Which is in complete contrast to the modest building you see from Parker Road. After a few moments of paperwork and chit chat, I was then seen by Dr. Jeong. She is very personable and made me feel comfortable the moment I sat in the chair. Not only did we go through the standard questions for an eye exam, but she took the time to explain the purpose of the different parts of the exam and their importance. Most importantly, I was given time to ask questions about the current health of my eyes and the prognosis afterward. This was, hands down, the most thorough exam I have ever received along with the most advanced equipment. (Some of it I had never seen before!) After the exam, I was introduced to JK to pick out my frames and lenses. He was attentive and really listened to what I desired. He took the time to personally help me find the perfect pair of glasses. They have a wide range of frames; high end designer frames down to sturdy and reliable children's frames all in many styles, shapes, and colors. JK is extremely knowable on the products they carry and was able to give me the details about the designer, the material the glasses were produced from, their durability and how they would fit with my lifestyle. After a while, I decided on a pair of SALT frames. We sat down and went through the doctor's recommendations and chose the lenses. A topic which he is also well versed. I left this visit feeling confident, well informed, and happy with the overall experience. Which is something most people don't say after leaving an eye exam. About 5 days later my new glasses arrived. I was surprised to be greeted by name when I arrived to pick them up, after only 1 visit! JK brought the new glasses out and fitted them to my tastes. I was out with my new glasses in 10 minutes. I have only positive things to say about the staff, office, and level of service I have received from Envision. Since my first visit, I have now taken my children and my husband for their eye exams - all of them had great experiences as well. I am so happy to have found this place! read more
