I came in to pick up contacts, I had questions about my insurance, for some reason it was an inconvenience for Lauren because she was "doing her homework" and ask me why she was doing it? I simply replied because I need the information. Had an attitude, gizzale told her to get back to her homework and helped me in seconds. I get it, but homework either needs to be done @ home if you can't help a paying customer.if a customer needs something it should not be an inconvenience. Please do better Lauren. read more

I have been coming to this opthalmology office since the mid-1970's with eye exams and consultation from Dr Randolph Fincher. His practice has expanded to include an office in Centennial and has added additional physicians. My current doctor is Weston Sherwood (not yet on business card) since he just graduated last year. Over the years the office staff has changed but the service and care is top notch. They have all the current diagnostic machines. They accept all standard insurance plans including VSP. Their in house lab and eyeglass retail space have been served by Julie & Kyle as long as I can remember. They continue a standing policy that you can get your eyeglasses adjusted for free Mon-Fri and Sat till 1pm. They continue to hand out free microfiber cleaning cloths and alcohol cleaning sprays. Free parking around building with handicap ramps. Nice seating area. read more

My wife and I have used the Aurora office of Advanced Eyecare Centers for a couple of years now, and have both purchased multiple pairs of glasses from them. Dr. McHugh is amazing, and does a great job of explaining exactly what is going on with your eyes and the images they take for screening and diagnosis. Once you have your prescription figured out, you're sent over to a wall with tons of frames to choose from. It was always easy for us to find something we liked. Both Julie and Kyle are amazing at helping you pick the options that are right for you, and make sure that your glasses fit you fantastic when you get to take them home. The whole process was quick and painless, and I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to purchase a new set of frames! read more

Dr. McHugh was available when I called the DAY BEFORE for an eye appointment the following day (I have been without insurance and I was waiting anxiously for coverage) as I was flexible for time the day I was scheduling. Not only was she incredibly thorough, the other staff members were amazingly pleasant and efficient during the time I was there. I arrived 30 minutes early to stream through some paperwork as I was a new patient and was entertained by their receptionists while I waited for my appointment. The waiting room had lovely leather chairs that were extremely comfortable. During my appointment she examined every speckle of eye that I have since I was a new patient and had a great photographic process that did not necessitate the dilation of my eyes (a HUGE PLUS) considering I would be doing contacts that day as well as driving myself home. I was fitted not only for contacts (a complimentary trial pair with eye saline) but also for glasses as well. The staff are very honest about pricing as well as your options to get the most from your insurance. I was given so much attention at this appointment that I went ahead and bought polarized sun glasses to take advantage of an extra 30% off that I received the day of my appointment. They are stellar. Julie will fit your for your glasses and she is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. She really knows her stuff. That part of the brain that identifies symmetry is definitely not lost on her as it is in myself. Last time I was here, I purchased a warranty that permitted me to have my lenses replaced one time with a new prescription if I so choose. I was told by three different people when I set my appointment for 1/14 that I could use that replacement today. When I sat down with the optician to start the process; he said I could not use that option; since the prescription changed. I advised him that three people told me I could and that people need to make sure they are giving out the right information. He then said, don't raise your voice. I told him I am not raising my voice and not to be so sensitive. I think the name of the optician I dealt with today is Travis. He is a smug individual. Smug to the point of annoying. Even though I was told on three separate occasions I could exchange the lenses under warranty; I had to pay for them. Not recommended. read more

I give a 3 only because of the DRs I just got of the -phone to see if my contacts had arrived ..."oh yes 10 days ago" RUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME no call no email And just like another reviewer the charged me $10.00 for samples Like she said this is not even legal ...says so right on the box. The staff is rude. I had an appointment, which I thought was scheduled for 11:15, I arrived at 11:20, but I learned my appointment was 11am when I arrived and checked in. The receptionist informed me I would have to reschedule because there was an appointment at 11:30. I said okay no problem. Instead of pulling that schedule up right away. She proceeds to go on about how my appointment was at 11 and if I got a text, (which I informed her I didn't) she continued with her mini rant and then states again, well we're gonna have to reschedule you and looks at me for confirmation. I repeat okay no problem. She finally finds a date and I let her know that doesn't work for me, she slightly smacks her lips and looks back at her computer which at that point, I politely decline a reschedule and just cancel. I completely understand timing, but there was no need for her to be so rude. I didn't even feel welcomed so there is no way I would reschedule with them. From the looks of the few reviews...this is a common thing. read more

Dr. Fincher is fantastic. He is patient, thorough, and takes the time to give you all the information you need. His care is certainly worth the 4+ stars. I was, however, disappointed with the front desk/customer service. I ordered a 6 month supply of contact lenses which ended up being on back order, but nobody contacted me to let me know that it would be upwards of 2 months before they came in. The cost of my contacts also changed 3 different times over these 2 months because they were looking up the incorrect information. Then, when my contacts did finally arrive, nobody called to let me know. I called to see if they had any updates on the time frame and that's when they let me know that they had received them. read more

They called and left vm when the glasses are ready. They were pretty busy when I was here on saturday, so I came on weekday this time. I came in and tried the glasses and I was on my way out in 10 minutes. Optometrist Julie is very nice. only problem was they didn't bill my insurance for the frame as I requested when I ordered them. But it is no big deal becuase I will be back for another pair very sooooon. read more

I hadn't had an eye exam in about 10 years and scanning Cigna's chart of covered eye places I came across this one and made an appointment. Everything went really smooth, I had zero wait. Dr. McHugh was great as were the eyewear specialists who took lots of time helping me try on and ultimately select two pair. They told me it would be 2 weeks and I was called the next day to pick them up. I felt the service was outstanding and have not one bad thing to say about them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have had nothing but problems with this office. They over billed my health insurance and vision insurance. They put the wrong prescription in my glasses and I never even received an apology. To top it off, I am attempting to order contacts through 1800contacts and 1800contacts had to decline my order because the office couldn't verify my prescription. I called the office to find out what is going on and they cannot find my chart. So now I am stuck with no contacts until they find my chart or figure out a solution. read more

After ignoring an eye condition on a Friday, I called this practice to see if they could fit me in on Saturday. In spite not being a patient and their being booked, they fit me in and took great care of me. The front desk staff and the doctor were EXCELLENT! Couldn't have had a better experience! read more

Great professional eye doctors and SUPER Sweet nice lady Julie that does the glasses fitting and extremely detailed about fitting the glasses. They do call you when the glasses are ready. Snotty young girl at the front desk but great customer service overall. read more

Patient beware! Similar to other reviewers, I have had nothing but problems with this office, particularly the office employees. To begin with, the front desk staff is incredibly rude and unfriendly. They act like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. It also took so long to get my contacts and glasses in that I finally started just taking my prescription and ordering them myself! I also asked them to order a few free trials for me and they wanted to charge me $10 -- for FREE trials! Is that even legal? Secondly, even after billing my insurance, I was always left with a huge balance here. I wondered why so I contacted my vision insurance company only to find out that Advanced Eyecare was misinterpreting my policy and over-charging me. I definitely see a pattern of motivation here -- and it's money, not helping their patients. I also found the identical frames for half the price at America's Best -- and with MUCH faster, friendlier service. Needless to say, with so many other friendly and knowledgeable choices for vision care, I won't be returning and I advise others to look elsewhere. read more
