Things take longer to accomplish, and perfection is a moving target for beginners. That being said, I received a high-quality hair cut for only $10. (My understanding is that this school also offers $5 haircuts on Wednesdays.) They also offer facials, which, given my very dry skin, was quite welcome. It had been many years since I'd indulged in such rehabilitative self-care. The only issue that I had is that when it came time to pay, they didn't have enough money in the cash register to break a $20 bill. I had to use a credit card. Also, when using a credit card, there is no option for adding a gratuity/tip for your stylist! If I'm in the area again, I will return.

The instructor ensured that Aiyanna was clear on how to go about the cut. Aiyanna was meticulous and dedicated to cutting my hair correctly. She also engaged me in nice conversation, which made the experience enjoyable. I'm very happy with the final look and intend to come back again.

I complain up front at the desk & and the supervisor that was in the salon with the guy the whole time takes me back there and acts like she's trying to get rid of me and starts trying to fix my hair , a snipe here or there, how's that? If you were in the same room with your student the whole time, why weren't you checking his work while he was cutting my hair ??? All of the students were very welcoming and seemed excited to do my services. I originally came in for a deep conditioning and wash and go but once I looked at ALL their services I also booked a facial! My wash n go came out beautifully! And I really like the products they used! The instructor was attentive but didn't really have to do anything because the student was very comfortable. My facial experience was just as good! It was a standard facial so non of the bells and whistles but it's honestly was great for just $25! All together I was able to get both my services for under $65 (and that's because I tipped) I'll definitely be back soon!

The first time, she wanted to verify that I signed in, which I did. The next time, I signed the disclaimer and the last time she asked did I have particular student to perform the services. I said anyone who is available. An hour goes by, and a student who was trying to assist the front area asked me if I was a walk in and I stated no. She went to check on the status. She came and informed me that the person who was assigned to me had a client because I didn't answer when my name was I called. I informed that my name was called three times and each time I checked in with the receptionist. The student informed me that she informed another student who was available and she should be calling me shortly. As I was waiting, the light skinned receptionist asked my name. I gave it and informed her that I had an appointment. At this time it is after 2:00pm. At 2:30, I tell another receptionist with burgundy her that I am canceling my appointment. She asked me to scratch my name out on the clipboard. We'll, to my surprise, it was scratched out. I brought this to her attention. She tells me that my name was called and I didn't answer. I informed her that my name was called three times and I came to the front each time. She asked if I would like to schedule an appointment for next week, absolutely not. There are too many people going in and out of the reception area. I would rather pay more money for services than to have my time wasted.​​
