Admittedly, this could be rose colored glasses from my formal years in Alabama, as I haven't been to Guthrie's in over a decade, but... sorry for the digression. Enzo's Chicken: they nailed it. What did I have? The #2 sandwich combo. Now, admittedly, I didn't have the sandwich due to a poor reading of the menu. The Enzo's OG sandwich is simply a chicken sandwich with coleslaw, pickles, and Enzo sauce. The picture on the menu showed no sauce on the sandwich and I didn't take time to read it. A miss on my part. I am not a huge fan of condiments, sauces, etc Luckily, the people with me ordered tenders only, so I had the ability to trade my sauce covered sandwich for a tender and coleslaw, then ask for a fresh sandwich bun from the kitchen. They toasted me a fresh one with no problem. Fantastic service if you ask me!! My makeshift sandwich, with a bit of BBQ sauce, was great, and I believe the pickles, which I lost out on, would have bumped it up to another level. The tenders were generously sized, and due to the generosity, I was able to get two unconsumed chicken tenders along with my sandwich. Those tenders, dipped in a bit of bbq sauce, were also good. Tendies are absolutely enormous! Was debating between getting three or four and honestly one would have been enough! I've never seen such a big chicken tender, it didn't even lend itself to eating in the car because there was no way to pick it up without support. I got the level 2 spice (sweet & spicy, I think it was). Not a lot of heat, but I was being cautious since I wasn't sure the heat levels. I'm sure the next levels are spicier. The chicken was super crispy and delicious. The fries were crispy and hot. Nicely seasoned. All served hot and quick. Good take out containers, sturdy and ventilated to keep things crisp for a short drive. Could have used a napkin or two, but I didn't ask for one either. Something to remember for next time. And there will be a next time, probably sooner than later. They were super busy but things moved quickly. They're newly opened so I think they are likely overwhelmed by business, but they're making it work quite well. If the tenders stay that size for the price, the place will be a huge hit because it's a great value. read more

I kept driving by Enzo's Chicken so I decided to try it for the first time today. I will definitely not be back. I ordered a chicken sandwich with only cheese, simple enough, right? Well, not for them, they gave me a chicken sandwich with everything and added cheese even though the receipt had it typed correctly and the guy at the "window" repeated it back. When my husband went in to explain what happened they gave him a new sandwich with a bun that looked like someone took a bite out of and was as hard a rock. I took the tender off of the bun and tried to just eat the chicken. The chicken was hot, and crispy but bland, I would be surprised if this place still is here by next year. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. This exceeded expectations by a mile. I opted for the "tender bites" thinking it would be 10 little nuggets. Nope. It was 10 huge, tender, packed with flavor chunks of chicken. Each one was 2-3 bites of pure amazingness. The crinkle fries were crispy, pickles had a great crunch and bite to them. The coleslaw was fresh and not overly sauced. Everything was perfect. Even the staff was great. But the sauce...the Enzo's sauce. I'm not a sauce fan. They always taste to mayo-forward. But not this one. It's smoky, peppery, creamy, delicious. This time I went through the drive-thru which took a bit because it was so busy, but that's to be expected. The inside was also full of people. Someone who I assume was the owner was walking around checking on things. Everyone seemed happy and enjoying themselves. Prices were incredibly reasonable. I am here to tell you at high volume times your chicken is not cooked to temp. And the fries are barely cooked. I went in and watched.. they switch fryers and risk under cooked food.. Don't waste your time until they get their act together. 70 minutes in the drive thru. One car in front of us waited 25 minutes cuz they screwed up the order. Tenders were warm and ok, fries were not. (Cold and soggy). We asked for Enzo sauce to try it and they gave us Buffalo chicken. So there's that. Not worth the slow service. Went through the drive thru on lunch break, quick service (5 minutes) and did not disappoint! Fries and chicken are both crispy and delicious! Enjoyed my first visit to Enzo's Chicken. Although it was their 1st day of operation and they were extremely crowded, the friendly and professional staff kept the orders moving at a quick pace without letting customer service suffer. I ordered the OG Enzo's Chicken Sandwich and found the large chicken breast to be perfectly cooked with the right amount of batter accompanied by fresh crispy pickles and Enzo Sauce. The high quality brioche bun held everything together and made the meal extremely enjoyable. Also ordered the Chicken Tenders which were very generous in size, was perfectly cooked as were the tasty french fries! With restaurants like Enzo's, there's really no reason to dine at any of the fast food outlets locally when one can get an expertly-crafted meal cooked to order using the freshest ingredients at a similar price point! read more

Today I was fortunate enough to win a contest they promoted on Facebook. It was my first time in the establishment and I was immediately welcomed and was provided excellent customer service. When I notified the cashier I won the contest the manager came over and gave me a breakdown of my winning meal. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. They provided me recommendations on their favorite sauces and chicken flavors. The food itself was beyond amazing, I haven't had chicken that good in so long! The midnight clutch sandwich is so good! The chicken strips are huge! The 5 piece is enough for 2 people and the price can't be beat! The service is always been great when I went (3 times so far) especially the young man from Texas! Love him! I happily drive 35 minutes one way from my country town for some chicken!
