Solid pie with a price that is right. A slight flop and non-existent undercarriage was made up with a great tasting sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Enzo's delivered to us at a local brewery trivia night. It was easy to order, easy to get the delivery, and even easier to eat. It may be my favorite (dare I say it...) New York style of pizza in Boston. Where I expected the crust to be soft, doughy, and unable to withstand its own weight Enzo's delivered a crispy outside, fluffy inside crust. Why is that so important? It can actually withstand the toppings and not slide off the slice before it gets to your mouth. The large pizza was enough for the 3 of us, and it was reasonably priced, especially for the convenience of the delivery to us. I can't speak to the actual shop, but based on the single pie we had the town has a real winner, a heavy hitter in the pizza space that shouldn't be written off as a faux-Italian named pizzeria. Enzo's has the pedigree and ability to make an amazing pie and can go against any wood-fired pie in the area! read more

A very pleasant surprise. We were looking for a new pizza shop for take out, and decided to give Enzo a try and it was really delicious. The crust was crispy, there was lots of cheese, the sauce was not too sweet, not too tart, and the mushrooms and onions were fresh and yummy. We'll be back...soon! read more

I was looking to try a new pizza/sub shop tonight and landed on Enzo's due to the excellent reviews. Unfortunately my takeout experience was among the worst I have ever had. Here's our family's order breakdown: Me - chicken parm sub. This was the worst thing that we ordered. Nothing extraordinary about the bread, sauce or cheese. Flavor was relatively bland. And worst of all the chicken was BADLY undercooked. I chased it with a couple shots of vodka to reduce my odds of getting food poisoning...I have done exactly this before when I tried cutting corners by cooking frozen chicken breast without thawing it. The texture is wicked disgusting. I am guessing they did exactly this. Wifey - House Salad and side of grill chicken. She seemed to be enjoying this just fine and reported that the chicken was cooked okay for her. However, about halfway through her meal she fished a piece of Saran Wrap out of her mouth and declared her appetite was lost. It was pretty flipping gross...We both think it came from a pre-wrapped cucumber but we don't KNOW that this is the case, so we tossed the rest of the salad. Kid - my 4 yr old daughter wanted chicken and fries. The chicken tenders were fine - actually overcooked a bit in this case. The fries were the highlight of the order and the only reason I am not going to bed hungry tonight. I am really disappointed with Enzo's and myself for not just ordering pizza. Perhaps I would be sitting here writing a positive review if I just ordered pizza... Anyways, I would be willing to give Enzo's another chance (for pizza) but am going to need a few months to recover first. In the meanwhile they are going to sit in my Yelp doghouse. read more

More of a chicken Alfredo SOUP, and it really lacks in flavor. Unbelievable, especially for the price point. I'm Highly disappointed, I really wanted to like this place. The best pizza and subs around. I got the Imported Sub, it's prosciutto, tomatoe. Fresh mozzarella & basil and added chicken for an extra $3.99 it's so worth it. It was my first time adding the chicken and it sure makes this sub complete. I will always get it with chicken. The subs here are Huge. I ate 75% for lunch and a few hours later I ate the rest. We have ordered takeout from here a few times now and have really impressed at the high quality and freshness of the food. I have had the veal parm sandwich (hand breaded and cooked to order) and the chicken and broccoli and ziti which is also made to order. This pizza place saved us from toddler meltdown - it's a small pizzeria with surprisingly some of the best pizza outside of NYC. From the sauce to the cheese and the dough. The dough is fantastic. Enzo's does it right. Its not a Neapolitan pizza that you eat with utensils because the dough is so thin (which I love also). Enzo make a classic NYC with a rich dough that you can eat with your hands. A plus is that it's a great place to bring the kids after a beach day because it's 6 minutes from Nahant and super casual and comfy. We walked in with flip flops and sand in our hair with no problem. For a random block on the edges of a borderline blighted downtown, this stretch of Munroe Street has some serious outsized culinary momentum going. Between the great restaurant the Blue Ox a few doors down, and now this place its practically a burgeoning restaurant row, certainly by this city's standards anyway. This unassuming storefront is in fact home to, until I am proven otherwise, the best pizza to be found anywhere in Greater Boston. Please note; as I have stated before Boston is simply not a pizza town. That being said this place is of excellent quality and could very well open and thrive in areas accustomed to far better pizza (NYC LI, CT et al.). The owner is straight out of Sicily and it shows in the fact that the way to go here, in my opinion is with the square Sicilian style slices. They will usually offer slices of a traditional variety as well as some more original creations. The best of this bunch is the bacon baked potato pie. The hostess advised me to take it cold as opposed to reheated and I suggest you do as well. Other creations are wholly American style, no doubt in deference to local tastes, with pies like buffalo chicken and honey BBQ chicken (liked the first, the second not so much. The heroes, particularly chicken parm, have always been tasty and bread very good as well. I must say the pizza style here is wholly original, not quite like any other I have seen, Old world yet tweaked to American tastes in a way unlike others before it. The owner is an old school pro who puts hard work and dedication into the place and the food he is putting out and it shows. Hopefully this place, apparently brand new when I discovered it will continue to help elevate this area and make it an unlikely destination for good eats. read more

Pizza is by far the best I've had in the city of LYNN. I usually order pick up from Santarpios but decided to try something in my neck of the woods and was not disappointed. The toppings and the sauce was fresh! And the crust was crusty but not chewy and cooked to perfection. I had the mushroom pizza which is the bomb!!! My Italian Grandmother is probably rolling in her grave but thats ok. I found the best homemade meatballs ever, better than grandmas! Enzo's has been a staple of our family going on three years now. The pizza is hands down the best in the city, make sure to try the Palermo or the chicken cutlet pizza. As mentioned before the meatballs are to die for. The pastas, calzones, and subs are all excellent try the steak and cheese it is fantastic. Guy and Gina have become family.
