My girlfriend and I moved to the Lynn / Swampscott area in January, we tried a bunch of different places for take out since moving here we've been to Alfredo's twice, first time the day we moved in, we got pasta dinners, I got the Chicken Ziti Broccoli and she got Chicken Parm, they bake their own bread for the pasta dinner which I felt was going that extra mile, the food was delicious and portions were big, my gf took half to work the next day. A couple weeks ago we grabbed subs for a quick Saturday lunch she got the Steak and Cheese and I got the Godfather Chicken Cutlet, Italian cold cuts roasted red peppers with a Balsamic Glaze, the subs were really good and HUGE these guys don't play around, they pack the subs. Today I was running around and needed something quick to hold me over so I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, first off, the slices are HUGE, I'm a good sized guy with big hands, the slice was that big, if you know pizza you know the sauce makes the pizza, the sauce was good and fresh, dough had a good cook crust and didn't have a burnt / charred bottom. My dad and I always get the chicken kabob salad from Alfredo's. We love that we can split it and that it is full of colorful vegetables. There is a good amount of chicken and their bread and dressings are tasty. We get delivery and it is always very quick. I did get a calzone once that I thought was just OK, so will be sticking to the salad. The one time I did pickup, staff was friendly. I look forward to ordering from here when I'm home. read more

This place used to be good up until a few months ago. The past few orders Ive picked up have been terrible, the food was horrible and we tossed it in the trash. Had purchased fried scallops with rice, disgusting, extremely overcooked even the rice was not good enough to eat. Then the Chicken finger plate and chicken finger side order which I had absolutely loved but even these were terrible. It seemed as if a mallet was used to flatten them out very thin and again overcooked, very dry and hard. I only got it again the last time because a friend wanted to get food there and they paid however it doesn't matter what time of day I ordered the last 3 times were horrifically terrible that left a lasting impression, I will never order food here again. I'm passing this along because this place is extremely expensive, very very pricey and the food quality is terrible. Food presentation is great but thats the only thing thats great. I give it 2 stars because I once loved the food but recently it turned into something horrible. Not sure maybe they have a new chef/kitchen help but the chicken tenders used to be thick, moist and worth the wait, I miss those chicken tenders. When food changes this dramatically there's a dramatic reason why, this place needs to go back to the way they cooked food a year ago. A month ago I had to make a quick decision of hosting a party. Long story short based on reviews I decided to give this place a try for catering. It was a pretty large order and the prices were reasonable. Needless to say, service was on time, we picked up, everything was packed and ready to go. Our guests loved all of it. UGH the mouth watering Chicken Piccata !!!!! Went to the theatre and stopped off to Alfredo's next to the honey dew in lynn for a dinner before the show. I had the chic cabob with rice and my wife and other people we were with had chic ceasar salads they were great. The owners two young gentlemen were very nice and friendly. The pizza is actually pretty good, but the service is horrible. Most recently, we ordered a Hawaiian pizza, cheese fries and a 2-liter to share to have it delivered 1 mile away to our job site . One hour and $37 later our order showed up, warm soda, a cold solid block of fries and cheese and this pizza: I notified the restaurant and they said that they'd send a new one. Another hour later I messaged back to see what was going since nothing had arrived. They responded that the new pizza had been left outside the door. Since I was l located in downtown Lynn and no call was made to notify me, I will never know if a new pizza was even delivered. After not eating all day, you can imagine how hangry everybody got. First time ordering out at Alfredos. Order 12" cheese pizza plus Veggie calzone. The pizza was good. It had the right about sauce to cheese. Sauce wasn't overpowering. pizza slice didn fall apart. Very delicious. But the Veggie Calzone was five- stars. I have heard really good things about Alfredo's but I haven't yet gotten a chance to eat there yet but I will. I wanted to write this review about how they have amazing customer service. I went there to buy a gift certificate for a friend who lives in Canton and has an Alfredo's across the street from her, which she loves. Great perfect gift, I go into Alfredo's in Lynn. Go in purchase a 50.00 gift card, walk out. I look at the gift card and it doesn't mention any other location. My stomach sinks. I go in ask about their Canton location and they say it's not ours. I explain the situation and I think there's no way they are going to give me a refund. Not only did they give me a refund. They were so kind about it. They even joked that maybe they would go check out their competition. I know for a fact, I bought a gift card for a takeout business in Winthrop where you can't use their gift card for take out, that wouldn't refund me my 25.00 when I explained that the person I bought the card for was disabled and could only do take out. The reply I got well that's too bad, find someone to buy it off you or you come pick up their food with the gift card. Bf and I usually order from here pretty often , I usually order dinner plates and pastas. Their website listed that pastas comes with a side of garlic bread and side salad. When I called, the lady that answered told me that, it doesn't come with all that. Just some bread on the side. I've ordered food from here on multiple occasions and have found to be overall okay. Shrimp scampi is probably my favorite dish. Other cream based sauces can be easily overwhelming because of how heavy it is. The Alfredo sauce itself is very viscous but seemed to be lacking in either salt or cheese (tried adding a bit more of both). Chicken wings were in my opinion a little too salty but my roommates enjoyed them. Bread served with the pasta was great. A little on the pricey side but incredibly filling. read more

Every time I've gone here they've been amazing. Food is very flavorful I got this meat spaghetti and it came with two breads. 16$ I paid for the pasta which a little pricey but I can't complain because other local pizza shops are the same price but no meat included. The food was delivered on time and hot. The restaurant followed my order perfectly. My only fault was the real veal and sauces were bland. The veal was also chewy. I would definately try them again with a different selection. Latest review. Food came on time and hot. Order was correct but pasta should be al dente not water logged like my pasta was. It oozed liquid. I got chicken m and I it wasn't pounded thin but thick causing the batter to fall off. After an extremely frustrating doordash/ninos experience, an hour and a half later we had to start all over again trying to order dinner, and swearing off doordash forever more, ordered via grubhub from alfredo's. We were thrilled our food arrived quickly and was freshly cooked. The pesto chicken dish was amazing, chicken so tender and flavorful, and the primavera pasta also was excellent. the complimentary bread was warm and soft was well, a rare thing in take out. Everything was packed well with no spills or leaks. I'm taking off a star only bc the cheese garlic bread which is so simple left a lot to be desired, the cheese fell off the top and generally was not up to par with the rest of the order. The two 2 entrees we ordered are listed as for two people, my big appetite partner and I did in fact have left overs, however we also ordered additional chicken for added protein, a great option to stretch food in a healthy way. That additional 6 grilled chicken tenders for $9 was a great option and were freshly cooked and flavorful. A shame we are moving out of area, finally finding a decent delivery restaurant after a year of disappointing food from a supposedly heavily italian community. I don't like being rushed off the phone when trying to place an order and on top of a late delivery when we opened the box of pizza it was completely a wreck! Definitely had to call and have something done! The delivery guy was making excuses and being rude! Called back the restaurant and they weren't pleasant either! Also have good pizza and many of their own varieties. Also one of few places in Lynn you can get an Italian sub with Prosutto. They call it The Northender; also nice, get it loaded!
