Nice folks own the place, it's kind of strange like stepping back in time. There's probably about 10 people behind the counter, they all look related. The inside probably has never been updated since they first opened. It was clean though and all the many people working there were very friendly. Sadly the pizza was pretty crummy. The crust was tough, and had much too much sauce. The sausage topping was pretty horrid too. Tasted like a cafeteria... I'm so sorry to be unkind, but I must be honest and this place wasn't for me. Best pizza in Lynn, I've been going here since I was a kid. They also have excellent subs. The veal cutlet is real veal and meatballs are home made. Not like Fauci's pizza. I once asked if the meatballs were made there and was told yes. But they were the small frozen type you can get at Walmart. read more

Been coming here for over 40 years. Best pizza in New England as far as I'm concerned. Quality has been consistent for decades. Nicky still works making the pizzas after all these years. I never realized how addicted I was until they burned down a few years back and I had cravings specifically for their unique blend of flavors. They still prep the ingredients and don't use the bagged frozen crap that a lot of places have switched to. That goes a long way with me. The best pizza and french fries in the city!! Very basic menu of pizza, subs, fries, and chicken fingers. The pizza is super cheap (under $10 for a large), but so fresh and delicious. Posting this review though because of the great staff/owner. I brought my son in one day to pick up our food (no delivery, cash only) and the nice lady behind the counter gave my son some free cookies because he was being so good. I don't get back to Lynn very often anymore, but whenever I do, a stop at Nicky's is mandatory. I've been eating here since I was a little kid and it's as good as it ever was. The pizza is always fantastic and most days you still see Nicky standing there making them and directing traffic in the shop. This trip I got a steak bomb for the ride home, and it was awesome, steak, cheese peppers, onion and salami delicious. Small joint, we came here after a training at MGH with a few coworkers and was not disappointed. My coworker grew up in the area and said they make one hell of a steak and cheese and I was not disappointed. Three subs with french fries for only 20 bucks is a steal. Usually get my pizza here once a week. I almost always come and pick it up myself that way it's nice and hot by the time I get it home. The pizza is very tasty and cooked well and a large cheese pizza cost $10, a great deal nowadays. I have always got the cheese pizza so I cannot give any other recommendations At this time. I came across a suggestion for Nickey's while searching for a place to grab a pizza while staying in Boston for a few weeks. I wasn't let down, the pizza is just like the pizza I grew up on in New Jersey. Thin crust, just enough crispyness eat by hand without flopping all over or breaking when you fold it. I'm giving it one star because it smelled good when I walked in, so their pizza is probably as good as people say. Customer service is horrible,though! After waiting a half hour, I went to pick up my pizza, and THEN they told me it's cash only. No mention of it anywhere online, and they didn't say anything about it when I ordered. I grew up on Lynnfield St about half way between Nicky's and it's competitor. We always got pizza at the competitor (for reasons I don't know) and steak bombs at Nicky's. Well, when I got old enough to decide for myself, I switched to Nicky's. I'm almost 50 now and Nicky's is still going strong. Nicky's has excellent, thin crust pizza. Generous toppings, perfectly cooked, always fresh hot and delicious. I love that they have Salami, a lot of places don't nowadays and it's excellent on pizza. They also have steak fries instead of shoestrings, my favorite, they actually stay hot till you get them home and are crispy and perfectly cooked as well. The subs are delicious too, bread really fresh and generous with the fillings. They make the best (though, admittedly not the largest), steak bomb in the area. Props also for their homemade veal parm sub......Delicious!! Thank you Nicky (who is there frequently) for all these years of excellent food!!! Another lifelong Lynner that waited way too long. I've heard raves about Nicky's my whole life but probably dismissed them because they don't deliver. Then a couple of days ago, I got a hold of their menu and couldn't believe how inexpensive they were. So I figured I wouldn't be losing much if I didn't like it. My wife picked up the pizza for me; a large bacon pizza. I opened it up and at first I was disappointed. It appeared they had really skimped out on the bacon, but appearances can be deceptive; most of the bacon was buried beneath the cheese. In fact, toppings turned out to be quite generous. The sauce and crust were both excellent and noticeably homemade. Definitely not a Greek (frozen crust) pizza. I'd give it 5 stars but it was my first time there and I would only give that rating if I've seen consistency. I will be going back often, so maybe an upgrade later. Highly recommended. read more

It's my favorite pizza place in the area - and there's lots of good ones. Good, cheap, fresh, basic pizza - made right by people who have made thousands of them before. They don't use typical pepperoni in their pizza... it's way better. If I'm in the mood for pepperoni, this is where I always get it, 100% of the time.
