    Shepherd salad is excellent

Ordered to go. A humble restaurant with friendly staff. The salad was fantastic but gyro pita was not fresh. And grape leaves tasted sweet.

KATY, TX 77450 / TURKISH, MEDITERRANEAN/ 12-08-23 / LUNCH +The ground lamb kabob was pretty good. +The shepherd salad and mixed green salad was excellent. -The chicken kabob was a bit overcooked. -The restrooms and restaurant needs to be updated.

Was looking for a good kabob place and found it at Ephesus. The service was friendly and fast and the ambiance was nice similar to a Turkish diner. The food was delicious and hot. Loved the chicken shish!

Delicious food with friendly service! The chicken kebab was my absolute favorite! It was super quiet and homely in the restaurant as well. We will be back!

I'm sorry but there is no Mediterranean flavor in any of the food The chicken kebab had a weird taste and smell The salad was so bland and lifeless The hummus was super earthy dirt tasting no amount of salt gave it flavor And whatever cabbage side that was was also lackluster I tried I was so hungry the only thing that was good was the pita bread. I tried so hard to eat it but I had to get up and leave I did pay for it in full Didn't even ask for a refund that's how bad it was I just felt so bad for them. I'm still hungry and now I'll just pick something up to go somewhere ‍‍‍‍‍

Delicious spot for Mediterranian food. I've come here a few times now & never had a bad experience! As an appetizer, I highly recommend the hummus to share for the table. My go to order is the lunch special 1. I would try the red lentil soup with whichever entree you choose - it's warm & flavorful! I usually order the lamb sis kebab, which is served over rice. Service at Ephesus has always been excellent as well. This is a great little spot for a tasty lunch in Katy!

It was good. The salad and the Babaganoush were my favorite along with the super fluffy pita bread. The falafel sandwhich was disappointing. It had absolutely no flavor. Couldn't taste any parsley or even the chickpeas. I added the Babaganoush to add some flavor which helped some but I still ended up having to add salt to my sandwich which was weird. I've never had to do that. As I was ending my meal I was offered rice pudding for it being my first time here. It was creamy and thick. The pudding to rice ratio was on the high side, more pudding than rice but it had good flavor. It was room temp though and I'm not sure if that's how it should be. I'd prefer either hot or cold to be honest but I really do appreciate the gesture. To be honest, the service here is great. The guy serving the whole restaurant was constantly going around making sure everyone was taken care of. Drinks were filled, orders taken, inquiring about the meal. It was nice. I take off the one star because of the falafel. Maybe I need to try the meat dishes as those seem to get the best response from diners. I will be coming back, not sure when, and I'll update my review then.

Great find. Great Turkish food with a smile. Followed the Yelp reviews and got this beauty on Mason. Went for lunch but skipped the lunch menu and went for the main menu. Appetizers with mixed grill. It was very very good.

    Do they have vegan stuff?

You could manipulate the lunch menu to be vegan. You would have to order cold plates, I think, but the red lentil soup might be vegan. You would have to ask your server. The owner would be very helpful. They aim to please here. Just ask.

The waiters were all very attentive and friendly. We ordered an appetizer that came with kibbeh, fried cheese wrapped in an eggroll wrapper, and falafel. I'm not usually a falafel person, but this one changed me. The kibbeh and the fried cheese was incredible as well!! As for the main dish, I got the shish kabob combo and was served a hefty portion - honestly enough for 2 people. The rice was so fluffy and the shish was moist and cooked wonderfully! Total was around $28 with taxes excluding tip - so quite hefty of a price tag but really delicious food worth coming back for.

I ordered the gyro sandwich. It came with fries or salad, and I ordered the salad. It was sort of sad! Only romaine lettuce and dressing with some feta, and a few of the lettuce pieces had brown edges. However: The gyro itself was amazing! The meat was very tender, and the tzatziki was tasty and plentiful. And so much meat! Plus it came with hummus and pitas on the side. Very good! Service was very good as well. One strong negative: it was freezing in there! So cold that it felt good to walk outside into 100 heat of Texas summer. I'd give this place 4 out of 5.

Two workers were there, but unfortunately they said "the cooks aren't at work yet". They showed up about 5 minutes later as I was standing in the parking lot outside the door & they said to give them 10 minutes. I decided to run an errand & came back 30 minutes later. My order was a to-go. Upon my return, it took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready. I ordered the chicken curry lunch platter which comes with salad, rice & hummus. - Chicken curry (4/5)- quite unique curry sauce (kinda thick, can't place the spices) with tender chunks of chicken. - Salad (4.5/5) - Salad had a garlic dressing/sauce which elevated the basic lettuce salad & made it quite flavorful. - Hummus (3/5) - it was just ok for me. I've had some hummus at other Mediterranean places lately that are really fantastic so those have become my baseline. They have a garlic dip which I ordered as a side item, it's the most unique dip. It's whipped to a mashed potato consistency. It's good, different. When you mix the garlic dip into the hummus it upgrades the hummus flavor. - Lentil soup (3.5/5) I was expecting to have spoonfuls of actual whole lentils but this soup has the lentils puréed so it's just a little thicker than a broth soup with no visible lentils. The flavor is good, I can taste the black pepper (but it's not hot). I just prefer less of a puréed soup. Lots of pita bread was provided. The worker taking my order thanked me for coming back. Hopefully it's not a pattern for them not to be ready when the doors open.

Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., they offer a lunch special with one kebab and two sides for $17. They also have a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with one kebab and two sides for $15, which is a great deal. The kebab options typically include chicken, beef, lamb, or shrimp. To my knowledge, the other Fadi's locations do not offer these specials. On my most recent visit, I stopped by for happy hour. While the kebabs aren't necessarily my favorite item on the menu, it's hard to beat a meal with one kebab and two sides for $15. I chose the pomegranate eggplant, fried cauliflower, and their "Mama Ganoush," a roasted eggplant dip similar to baba ganoush. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Each meal also comes with a warm pita bread that is served fresh from the oven. The ordering process is simple: grab a tray, move down the line, and choose from the foods on display before paying at the register. The staff are always friendly, and there's plenty of seating inside. If you're looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food in the Katy area, Fadi's is an easy recommendation.

I was in line to order to-go but the lady in front of me had the hardest time paying for her order. After several unsuccessful attempts, another lady came by to take my order so that she could put my order to the kitchen first while I waited to pay. I found that to be extremely considerate of the worker to think to do that. Food came out in about 15 minutes. I was so hungry I ended up deciding to eat in my car. A little disappointed that they didn't include any utensils (nor did they ask if needed any), but thankfully I had some extras in my car. I ordered a chicken kebab and they were nice enough to sub my rice for a salad without extra charge. Also ordered the borani bademjan because I'm a fan of all things eggplant. Everything was delicious. The chicken kebab was juicy, moist, and nicely seasoned. However, my favorite item was hands down the borani bademjan. It had large pieces of smoky grilled eggplants and I love the spiced tomato flavors. Yum! Highly recommend for all eggplant fanatics. The borani came with a piece of nan that was good as well. Overall a great find and will be back to try other items.

I had the challow kabab with naan and my friend had the chapli kabab with rice. Both dishes were SO tasty and I'd recommend both. The naan is not buttery or oily so it was perfect with the most delicious and perfectly marinated meats. The chutney/vinegar sauce is always so refreshing and pairs so well with everything. I want this place to succeed because the food is just SO delicious however, it saddens me that the waiter was so terrible. He was dressed in torn up jeans and was on his phone as if it was glued to his face. I had no idea he was the waiter until I saw him go in the kitchen and I had to flag him down like hi can we order?! When he came to take our order he was the most meh person ever. He just stared out at the window as he stood there waiting for us to place our order. He didn't offer water or drinks until I called him back to ask like...can I at least have some water please? Then he yells from the counter, do you want room temperature or cold? Ugh I love this restaurants food but it saddens me to think that this waiter is going to be the downfall of this place. At one point he was loudly watching tik tok videos (to the point where I couldn't hear my friend talking to me from across the table). The other tables were also visibly annoyed with his lackluster energy and effort and one family was willing to leave because of his meh attitude. Saffron--please let go of this waiter. You're just too good of a restaurant and I hope you continue to succeed!! I just think with this waiter around, you could lose business like you did today.
