If I could give this sham of a dance academy zero stars I would. I enrolled my 2-year-old daughter…read morein their Pre-K Dance class for 2 and 3 year olds. It was advertised as exploring creative movement. We get there and the older teacher was just immediately frustrated that the TODDLERS weren't listening. The class today was the last straw. My 2 year old was doing fine but when it came to mat time, she didn't like her legs being stretched to touch her head so she walked away from the mat with another child and sat on the wall. The teacher told her that she would need to leave if she didn't listen so my child stood up and walked towards me at the window that I was directly behind. The old teacher went up to her and the other little girl and in front of a room full of classmates, parents, and other children told the 2 babies that they were "done" and kicked them out of class. I called after and the old teacher said this was a structured class where they are teaching the girls dance. She said she was "removing the distraction." Meanwhile 3 other little girls were just laying on the mat not doing what they were supposed to do. A structured class for 2 year old toddlers, whatever that possibly means. She embarrassed those children who just didn't feel comfortable getting stretched out by strangers. They are also refusing to refund me the money for the remaining classes that of course my daughter will not be attending. What a joke of an establishment.

The bridge is beautiful. Sheep and cows graze beside it. If you walk along the white fenced area, you can see The Amish Farm and House. This location is contrary. You can see a pretty farm area that is directly beside stores. There are various tour tickets available. I suggest the self tour and grabbing a bite at the BBQ barn. The bus tour is convenient if you don't want to research anything on your own. We planned our Lancaster visit with YouTube and google. There is something to be said for having someone drive you around this beautiful area. However, the stops are chosen for you. There is a better selection of shopping at the markets and smaller shops. If you are on the bus, you are in competition with everyone else trying to quickly purchase souvenirs in 20 minutes. If you decide to take a tour, don't buy a ticket on Sunday. The shops are closed and the tour is different. The house was interesting but I enjoyed the outside of the house at Old Windmill Farm. That was real. This has a "museum" feel. The displays are filled with facts and pictures. You can purchase a book in the gift shop that can explain Amish life. I prefer seeing and taking pictures. There are some beautiful photo opps on the property. There is a life sized cow you can "milk." There are limited, but adorable animals on the property. The goats are hilarious. There are animal approved snack bags you can buy for $1 in the gift shop. The goats climb stairs and walk across the bridge. The sheep make a perfect background by the covered bridge. There are play areas for children. Most things are wood - be careful about splinters. The wood photo cutouts were funny. The gift shop had a few Amish hats, crafted items and home made jams and other canned items. I found more items at flea markets and Kitchen Kettle Village. This place is worth visiting. The best way to end the self guided tour is with some food at a picnic table and a stroll by the covered bridge.

As community support grows through increased ticket sales and through greater support from individuals and area businesses, the concert schedule will expand accordingly. I should probably mention that Berks Sinfonietta is a 501(c)(3) organization and that means donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by state and federal tax regulations. The orchestra is unique because it is made up of residents of Berks County and it focuses on diverse programming that includes compositions by women composers, composers from minority communities and contemporary composers that are often overlooked by more mainstream orchestras. Tickets are extremely affordable with special consideration given to children and to student IDs! Information about the current concert schedule is posted on the orchestra's website. Concert tickets are also available through their website. Life is about creating memorable experiences, and live music provides that in abundance! If you're looking for a great live music experience, grab a couple tickets and catch the next concert with a friend! If you're new to classical music, Berks Sinfonietta is a great place to get into it without breaking the bank!
