Okay, I can see why this place has some bad reviews. I ultimately gave it four stars since the food is actually pretty awesome. The theater screen is clear and the seating is very comfortable. I'm glad a theater exists like it in Lancaster. It's also a gorgeous shopping plaza. Now for the negative. The service is slow. Like, really slow. The bar is incredibly limited. Though, I do love how generous the server was with the wine pour. I gave her a pretty hefty tip since she essentially topped off the glass as the wine was just about kicked. The bathrooms were filthy, but I'm used to that with many AMC theaters with the same situation. I think I was expecting more of a high end experience since the mall that the theater was located in was so nice. The exterior of the theater looked flashy. The inside lobby and common spaces? Really not fancy and kind of run down and this theater was just built a few years ago. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Also, my kids LOVED the heated seating. That was a fun bonus. I'd come back again. Some of the food was truly fantastic. The standouts were the wood fired pizza and the cheesesteak. 100% would order again. The burger and grilled cheese were okay. My kids got that, and while they loved it, I was glad that my partner and I got what we ordered. read more

Went to see the Super Mario movie at this theater for the first time with my youngest son. We ordered a hot dog, fries, and a soda, and were told everything would be brought to our seats. The food arrived while we were watching part of the movie, but they forgot the drink. When I asked for my medium Sprite, the employee said okay... but then returned with an empty cup, basically expecting me to grab it myself. This was frustrating, especially since the theater advertises that all food and drinks will be delivered to your seat. On top of that, one employee was rude about the situation, which really put a damper on what should have been a fun first experience with my son. Overall, the movie itself was great, but the service left a negative impression. I'm giving this experience 3/5 stars -- theaters should focus on keeping the hype and excitement of the movie going, not frustrating customers with poor service or empty soda cups. read more

the staff is disrespectful and inconsiderate i visited there about a year ago and a emergency was called lights flashing and i was terrified thinking somthing was happening. then they made us go outside and we had to go home half way through the movie the staff takes there job way to serious watching the movie to make sure everyone was sitting in their seats. it's very distracting. there candy options are not allergy friendly which caused me to bring my own and then get yelled at i understand the policy is made so the make money but it's just inconsiderate. the bathroom was disgusting hair on the seat and the toilet paper roll was on the ground. besides the one manger the staff was sweet but the one older guy was disrespectful. wouldn't recommend coming. read more

This is a really bad theater. The employees are incredibly slow. We arrived for our movie 30 minutes prior to showtime. The concession line was long but not abnormally long....I've seen much longer. We waited in line for an hour. An hour! Just to get stupid popcorn. At least 30 mins of that hour were spent with only 2 people in front of us. The guy working the register was clearly high. He. Was. So. Slow. In the theater the seats were not comfortable, at all. One of the seats felt like you were sitting on a sliding board. We did complain to the manager via email and the only reply we got was "we're sorry." We'll never go here again. read more

This place really went down hill!! Toilets don't work properly, no soup in the bathroom. They had a bath and body pump soap, seat broken does not recline, machines were all down so had to get your tickets at the food counter. Trash was in our cup holders and seats when we went into the theater! Popcorn sucked!! Won't be returning!! read more

I was very underwhelmed by this theater and envisioned something totally different after being told you could dine here. Dining consists of ordering concession stand type food and having it delivered to your seat at a cost twice that of a festival. The bar was empty the three times I was here and I question its existance at all in this environment. I only saw one unisex bathroom for all the theaters but maybe I missed another because I can't believe there would only be one. Yes, the seats are heated and recline, but the heat is only on for a minute and if you put the foot rest up the whole way it brings the back too far back to watch the movie. I also felt for being new it lacked a sense of "newness" and felt basic and dated. It did not appear to be cleaned between movies either. Three stars because regular movies are much cheaper on Tuesdays, you can order online (although you pay an additional fee), and you get to pick your seats, AND because of it's close proximity to Shake Shack. read more

This was billed as a great new theater in the area and it was so disappointing! While the outside looked nice, the inside was just a dumpy theater. We got there around noon for 12:30 movie. The theater opens at noon but the popcorn was stale and cold. That basically proves they reuse popcorn. The first movie of the day and the popcorn was gross. They also make you take your digital tickets to the concessions line to get printed out tickets that you then take into the theater. Like why? It's 2023. You can't scan a phone? Come on. The employees were also young kids who couldn't have been less friendly if they tried. Phones out, no eye contact. I don't care if you're on the phone when there are no customers around but it's rude when you're talking with someone. The only saving grace was the movie. The sound and screen were great. However, I think I'll stick to my regular AMC. read more

Absolutely not! Ticket was $10 and a small beverage, $7.00 - wholly guacamole; why? Do people actually buy food here? I'm still recuperating from my $7.00 soda cost. I wanted candy or popcorn, but was fearful of the prices. Even though the seats were heated (wow), had a reclining feature and were in excellent condition (no ripped, stained upholstery), I felt squooshed when sitting in them. read more

I don't know what happened. Oh boy where do I start. Let's start with concessions. The fountain machines were out of carbonation, so all drinks were flat, told the staff, Nothing was done. The popcorn, not kidding here, nor am I exaggerating, every mouthful had kernels of unpopped corn in it, it was amazing. didn't even know that was possible, My cup holder became my kernel holder. I went to see Top Gun and paid extra for the Dolby theater. The volume was so low you could barely hear the movie, no less than four people including myself went to complain, they eventually turned up the volume from 2 to like 4, (15 minutes into the movie) it was not a dolby experience. I sort of expected more from this theater because it looks really lovely from the outside. But inside it's mostly blah. Small concession stand. Dirt hallway. But the theater was decent and the kids working were friendly. Went for a matinee so it wasn't crowded but the concession area being so small, I can imagine it's very crowded on a fri/sat night. read more

I have high hopes for this brand new movie theatre in Lancaster. It's super-convenient being right at the front of the Wegman's plaza along Harrisburg Pike and just off Route 30. They have a full bar. You can buy and take beverages into the theater. They have a full menu with wood-fired pizzas, burgers and sandwiches and they'll even bring your food to your seat! While the seats are a bit narrower than some nearby competition, they are fully reclining leather electric -- with seat heat! Pretty nice! A few concerns though.... they seem way under-staffed. We have been three times. Twice for a matinee and once for an evening movie. Because all tickets are via a self-serve kiosk, there are skads of people who need help. Even if you buy online you don't get a scannable barcode movie ticket so still have to stand in line (UGH!) to prInt your ticket from the kiosk in order to get in. The night time movie had one poor fellow helping people... but with only lIke 3 kiosks and every tickeholder needing to buy on demand or at least print out their tickets.... bad set up. I've helped some desperate older couple every time-- I feel bad for them struggling with the machine! They also only have 3 registers for food orders and sometimes they aren't even all staffed! So there has always been a HUGE line.... esp since the people taking orders also have to a scoop and make the popcorn. They have a self-serve soda area which speeds things along at least a bit. But they are so busy it always seems like quite the mess. Don't touch anything there unless you have to. And for whatever reason.... no napkin dispensers?! If you are fortunate one of the registers will have a stack laying on the counter you can take from otherwise you have to ask them and they go and get a stack to leave there... this seems crazy. I think some of these complications stem from just having such a small lobbby, kitchen/service counter and even the restrooms and bar area are seemingly undeersized for the possible number of people who could be there at anyone time. On the bright side, we did order a burger meal which waS served to our seats and have seen some of the other 'real' food. It all looks reallly good. And what we had was excellent. Also had a nice cocktail. Hopefully they can work out some of these kinks.... read more

I love this theater! I don't understand the less-than 5 star reviews, must have been an off-night. I live in Lancaster and know of all the other theaters around here-this is my favorite by a long shot. Its all new (the whole center was built a few years back), it's high quality big surround-sound screens, amazingly comfy and roomy recliners, good hot food served to your seat...I mean, what? Ppl are complaining about popcorn one time they were here?! FFS. I grew up in Philly and know what nasty is-this is a thousand times FAR from some old, nasty theaters I remember. PLUS, you are surrounded by a brand new shopping center when you exit the theater-with an amazing frozen yogurt place right next door, a Shake Shack opening May 22, Millers Ale House, Wegman's grocery store, Starbucks...it all adds to the incredibly positive experience you'll have visiting Reel Cinema. Wow! What a theater this is. Let's start with the seating, it is excellent and there is even warm/cold options which I have never seen before. The food was restaurant quality, not kidding. I took my entire family and they all got different items that were all fantastic and brought right to our seats. I snuck out of the family film to have a really good drink at their inviting bar and had a good conversation with a friendly bartender. I was excited for my second showing of The Batman. However my experience was terrible. The staff was half-asleep while visibly on some drugs, purchasing the ticket proved to be more difficult than we thought and took an extra 20 minutes just to procure the 4 tickets. And the theater was a fucking mess. There are more than enough good movie theaters to go too and i will NEVER be going back here again. And I recommend you don't as well read more

So, I buy my tickets on line which are emailed to me but the theater can't (I mean won't) scan the tickets bar code to enter the theater rooms. They make me wait in a long concession line to redeem them. It's a bait and switch and shameful compared to every theater I've been to the last 10 years. Join the modern world and recognize people's time is valuable and this theater is wasting mine for the last time! Pathetic and disappointing!!! read more

The food- We ordered food 15 minutes before our movie started and it came 60 minutes later. I could have lived with that but it was also cold and overpriced. I did expect to pay high prices but one thing I did not expect was no refills on the $8 popcorn. The movie experience- The seats in the theater were very comfortable. The Dolby sound was great. The layout of the theater is great. I understand it is difficult to find help right now but there were three employees hanging out in the lobby every time someone in my group went there. Meanwhile the garbage cans are overflowing, the bathrooms are dirty and food service is extremely slow. Hopefully overtime these issues will be resolved. read more

My experience was not at all what I expected. The food was terrible. The cheese steak was horrible. It was dry, had no sauce, no seasoning, lacked everything 0/10. The garlic knots were disgusting. Our food was cold. The garlic knots had all the garlic sauce on the container barely on the knots. it looked like they used garlic paste to season the garlic knots. The knots looked questionable to even eat. Again, food was cold when we received it and we didn't order much. The staff did not clean up the scenery before we got there and it was pop corn all over our seats as well as the seating area. The pizza was very very mid, my daughter LOVES pizza and did not like this pizza at all. The spicy chicken sandwich had 2 pieces of rectangle meat on it, sealed with cheese and it was not spicy at all. The chicken sandwich had no flavor as well. The best part of this theater was the fries and slushy's. I spent so much money here for everything to be disgusting and a waste of money. Very unsatisfied. A staff member was unprofessional, very flirtatious with one of my daughter's while he was on the clock and continued to get at her more than once when I walked away. The caramel pop corn tasted stale. The seat warmers only worked for a good 10 minutes and then they could no longer be in use, they would not reheat again. FYI- GREAT POPCORN !! read more

This new theater was great. Very clean. The reclining seats were ok. They didnt work too well. My biggest gripe was that they dont offer free refills on the popcorn combo. Every other theater in area, offers free refills when you pay over 20 bucks for a combo. Guess Ill be going back to Penn Cinemas. read more

Very disappointing experience, considering there's pretty good potential. The kiosk for ticket pickup broke while trying to pick up the tickets we ordered online (you still have to wait in line even if you buy online??). Then we ordered food and drinks, the cashier takes our money and then touches our food and the inside of our cups and containers. Get to the theater, it's 80 degrees in there with the AC off. The popcorn was flavored fine and they let you control how much butter you put on, but the popcorn was very stale. I have a feeling they recycle popcorn from the previous day or from the morning. The chairs were comfy but fairly narrow. They had heated seats...thank god for those...definitely need that when the AC isn't blowing. To say we were disappointed with the experience was an understatement. As we were walking out the general consensus was that it was ungodly hot in there. We will unfortunately not be coming back here. Maybe when hell freezes over since they keep the place so warm. read more

Buy tickets, employees are nice, theater is nice, but then a week later my card gets hit with 20.00 for no reason. Dispute with CC, and the charge gets reversed. Then the next day my daughters card gets hit for 20.00 and she had not been to the theater for over three weeks. Do we have a thief problem? read more

It was very disappointing. The staff were rude and unprofessional, saying the sticky mess "wasn't her problem". The only nice staff member was the bartender who made us feel welcome. Everything was dirty and sticky and it's very expensive and the general manager was rude about our seats. I don't recommend coming here read more
