This review is way overdue! My friend just called and complained about the contractor assigned by American Home Shield (AHS). She owned a unit in the same building I live and the contractor basically told her the filter used was the wrong size and the compressor being outdoor in the parking deck was not maintained properly by the building. Long story short, I told her those compressors were maintained by the homeowners. The contractor Air Design supposed to clean them. Instead they wanted to charge my friend additional outside the trade fee. Then I suddenly remembered I was so lucky last year to get assigned some really good technicians by the AHS. I almost could not remember the company and went searching on my phone which company came last year. So it was Epic Air. I remembered the staffs were very professional, honest and polite. They came back the second time since they need to get a replacement part for the HVAC. They definitely know what they were doing. I would certainly recommend Epic Air based on my experience with them. read more

We have an American Home Shield warranty and our furnace stopped working in the dead of winter. The warranty process allowed us to pick from 4 vendors and Epic had the best reviews BY FAR online. I selected Epic as the vendor through the warranty online process on a Sunday and within 30 minutes, their scheduler texted me to set up an appointment. The promptness was awesome. She was also very friendly and accommodating as we had to make a couple adjustments to our appointment time. The technician arrived right on time. He was masked and wore booties. He quickly ascertained that our controller board was bad, had the replacement board on hand, and installed it quickly. It was a very smooth repair and our heat is working 100%. I would most definitely use Epic again and highly recommend. read more

I have had issues with my downstairs HVAC unit and American Home Shield assigned this company. Their service tech, Dutch, came out to our home. Never have I ever dealt with a more personable, honest, dependable and professional technician from any company I have ever had in my home. He was hard working, knew his stuff and extensively explained everything that a novice could understand perfectly. I felt like I was in a classroom and he was the teacher. Being a female and not subjected to issues such as this, he treated me as a student that he cared about and had a burning desire on wanting me to understand it all. He wasn't just blowing smoke up my ass. He's the definition of the real deal. This company is amazing, economical and they genuinely care about their clients. I'm not a customer anymore, I'm a client and they made me feel good. They make you feel like family and take care of you as if you are. High five Epic, your name will be passed on. All wrong. They aren't interested in you're comfort. Use someone else if you get them sent out for ac. They won't do what is right, they do what other people tell them to do. read more

I just paid a home warranty service fee for the tech to come out and say, your system is fine and to get a dehumidifier. Did you know that AC doesn't always pull out humidity and if it suddenly gets to 81% humidity day after day, on a 20 year old system, that it's working just fine and I need a dehumidifier. The tech said he opened my system up and looked at it. Guess what, I was right there the entire time and he never removed the cover of the furnace. My google search says my coils are dirty. His inspection wouldn't know that. I asked him if I contacted other HVAC companies if they would all say the same and not explore the system to find the possible cause and he said yes, there was nothing to look more for. It needs a separate dehumidifier. I called customer service and not shocking, went right to voice mail. Find another HVAC company, with experience. And if your home warranty selects this company, ask for another company. read more

they came out multiple times to "fix" my AC system. the techs had no clue what they were doing. so they blew the fuse to my refrigerator and my system began to leak. found out later they probably caused the leak. had to call another company to come repair my system. would not refund my $400 when I said you did not complete the job and refuse to come back read more

Epic was assigned to repair my furnace through a home warranty company. They contacted me first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment early the next day. The technician was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the issue quickly and ordered a control board. What impressed me was that Epic called me when the part came in (instead of me having to follow up with them), and the appointment was for a time convenient for me. I am so happy that Epic Air was assigned to my work order by my home warranty company. They are quick to schedule and keep their appointments. From the office ladies to the field techs, I'm always treated like they values me as a customer and I appreciate them very much. My A/C died and Epic came out and found that my furnace was rusted out. Epic worked with my warranty company and got my furnace replaced. After fixing my furnace my A/C still didn't work well so we realized that the coil isn't able to keep up with the new furnace and needs to be replace. Epic sent out a supervisor technician who diagnosed the problem and is now in the process of submitting a claim for the coil. I'll update the review as we go but I highly recommend Epic Air to anyone who is looking for a Heating and Cooling company. read more

My home warranty company contacted Epic and they came out the next day. They did not show up on time they came EARLY! That never happens. Already a good start. Mike was the technician that arrived and was professional and went right to work. 20-30 minutes later, problem solved. Epic Air was sent out through my home warranty to fix my furnace. The first time they came out the system worked for less than a day. The second time they came out they said that the system needed parts, 3 days later they contacted me to say that the parts weren't available and that the home warranty company would be replacing my furnace. Third visit they replace my furnace, during the install my gas shut off valve was busted and they allowed approximately 30-40% of a 500 gallon propane tank to leak into my home. I was not aware of the massive leak until later however directly after the install there was water pouring from the unit. Upon inspection I found that they had incorrectly connected my exhaust vent and it was leaking everywhere. Being as I am kind of handy I decided it was easier for me to replace the incorrectly installed union and reseal it myself, the condensation stopped leaking. I was happy to be through with them... but I wasn't. Three days later more water begins leaking from the unit, they come out a fourth time to find that the brand new condensation trap was leaking. Fifth visit they replace the faulty trap, then the real headache begins. It dawns on me that I should check my gas usage after 3 days of having a working furnace, that's when I find that my tank had been depleted by such a massive amount. I call on a Wednesday and speak to Sandy she tells me that she will speak to here manager and call me back. I called each day through the next Monday, finally on Monday afternoon they pick up and Sandy tells me that there is nothing they can do for me. Needless to say I am furious, I am out $385 worth of propane and now trying to get the home warranty company to help me. I will NEVER let EPIC Air back into my home. read more
