Okay, super vulnerable moment. I'm actually quite embarrassed to share my before photos of my upstairs. But I feel like it's so important to really celebrate the after photos and give them all the love and admiration they deserve. I was so happy to get connected with another fellow Elite (shoutout to Michelle N.!) and then eventually connect with Derek on Instagram. Derek was so friendly and kind immediately. I was moving into a new rental and wanted to get the carpets and tile cleaned. Plenty of people in the neighborhood recommended Derek at Epic Carpet Care so I reached out to schedule an appointment. Derek was extremely responsive via voice call and text messages. He showed up for the quote appointment on time and wore a mask and shoe covers. He gave me a quote and so I scheduled the service appointment. He showed up on time with his assistant Tristan. They steam cleaned the carpets and tile. The carpet and tile didn't look terrible before, but had a strong urine smell from the previous tenant. After Derek completed the job, there wasn't s trace of urine smell. Derek and Tristan were so professional and went above and beyond my expectations. Tristan also runs his own pressure washing business and I hired him to pressure wash the garage and patio. He even included the driveway and sidewalk in front of my house in the price. They even repaired the chips in the grout on the tile. I didn't have any stains, but with a child and a cat I always worry about hidden odors. I made my appointment with the owner, Derek. The day of the cleaning he texted me when he was on his way. Derek and his helper, Tristan were both very friendly and professional. We did a quick look at which rooms they would be cleaning and then they got to work. A necessary note about Derek. He went out of his way with his professionalism. He arrived with a business card in hand, introduced himself, and made conversation before coming in. I love finding a company that I'm comfortable having in my home. They cleaned the carpets in my family room, living room, and guest room. The promotion included a fourth room, but I requested the cleaning of a rug instead of the fourth room. I feel so much better knowing that my carpets have been refreshed and won't have hidden odors. The scent of the cleaner they used smelled great. Tristan even did a quick mop of the tile that had been touched by their equipment. I still can't believe he was able to clean our floors. I've spent the past few hours just wandering around our new house & for the first time since we moved in I finally feel at home. Some where between the time we made our offer on this house in January & when we closed in February, the previous owners just absolutely destroyed the floors. I spent hours on my hands & knees with vinegar cleaner & a hand held scrub brush going one tile at a time trying to remove this film & it was just impossible. I can't even tell you how much I have cried over these floors. Derek went above & beyond for us today. It was absolutely incredible. What you see in the photos of the 'wood looking' tile is actually wax. For reasons we will never understand they actually spread wax meant for real hardwood flooring over the entire downstairs tile floor. Derek knew EXACTLY what he was doing & how to get it off. He knew it would be a very difficult and tedious job but didn't even flinch. He was hard at work within minutes after arriving & was incredibly informative about everything including his process & what he would be using to clean. He did a spot test to start which I have to say, in my nearly 40 years I have never had anyone spot test. I was SO happy to see him take that extra step! Then there was the kitchen tile....we didn't even know it was that color!! When we toured the house it was light gray, when we closed it was BLACK. Who knew the real color would be that shade! We are SO happy with his service we are having him back in a a couple of days to do our carpets too! I'll never use anyone else for our floors again. We have a special needs family with severe allergies & plan to have Derek back every 6 months to keep our floors clean & family healthy. THANK YOU DEREK! My story is a little longer so to get started I just want to say Derek is such a kind and friendly man. I was also amazed in the quality care and attention to detail Derek has. He laid down a rug through my house so he didn't mark the floors and put bumpers on all my corners so he didn't scratch the walls... the other companies who came out never did that.
