This place was about what I expected for a mountaintop amusement park that has not been heavily built out. The mountain coaster and the alpine slide were great activities and the kids I was with had a blast on those. The staff were absolutely wonderful and patient helping the kids through the ropes course and other activities. But overall, I would say this park is only worth about half the cost of what they actually charge. Maybe they charge as much as they do to keep the lines down, but if that is the goal, they are failing. You spend way more time waiting in lines or traveling up the gondolas and chairlifts than you do enjoying the actual attractions. We got there early (on a weekday!) and stayed until close, but only made it onto 5 attractions (of the 8+ available). Their website is abysmal, so you really don't even know what is there, where to find it, and what time the attractions close. They let us take a 15-minute ride up a chairlift only to tell us when we got there that they had already closed both the attractions at the top because they had enough people in line that it would take at least 45 minutes (to their close time) to get through the line of people already there. So we took the 15-minute ride back down and were told the same thing about the other attractions (that we probably might have made it on 30 minutes earlier if they had bothered to tell us before getting on the chair to the top). So overall, I would say that while this was a fun place to visit, and two of the attractions were nice, the inability to even get to try two of the other major attractions was a huge letdown, and the price just added insult to injury, in that regard. They need a better website explaining the timing of everything and their propensity to close attractions early, and they need to place limits on the number of tickets sold per day and have timed entry to the attractions. read more

Fun Alpine Slide, but poor communication, long waits, and very poor value. I visited Epic Discovery at Breckenridge with my two boys on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The gondola from town was great, and the Alpine Slide itself was fun once we finally got to do it. Unfortunately, the overall experience was frustrating and did not feel worth the price. The biggest issue was communication. When we got off the gondola at Peak 8, there were employees around, but nobody greeted us or explained where to go. We walked to the Alpine Slide line, waited, and only when we reached the front were told we needed wristbands first. We then had to find the ticketing area, where it was not obvious that we first needed to complete a paper waiver before buying tickets. We bought three-activity wristbands for about $72 per person. After that, we waited again for the Alpine Slide. One of my sons met the height requirement and was wearing closed-toe, closed-heel rubber shoes because of a recent foot injury. Two employees initially tried to tell us the shoes were not allowed, even though they met the posted closed-toe requirement. A supervisor eventually confirmed they were acceptable, but it was frustrating and unnecessary. The chairlift to the top was extremely slow, and once we got there we discovered that only one of the three Alpine Slide tracks was operating. Nobody told us that before we bought tickets, got in line, or boarded the lift. The wait at the top was long, hot, and mostly unshaded, with no water and very little communication. The boys enjoyed the actual Alpine Slide and wanted to ride again, but when we got back down and tried to re-enter the line, we were told it was closing early because of work/surveying being done on the slide. Again, nobody had disclosed that earlier. We then tried to use the wristbands for another activity, but the remaining lines were also long, hot, and unshaded, so we left. For roughly $72 per person, we realistically got one Alpine Slide ride. The activity itself was fun, but the operations, signage, staff communication, and value were disappointing. Breckenridge is priced like a premium experience, but this did not feel like one. I would not recommend Epic Discovery based on this visit. read more

We've been to epic a few years and it's always been fine but this year we noticed a significant decrease in the amount of gems in the mining exhibit. It is really sad that basically for $30 per activity you receive a tiny amount of gems and mostly rocks. read more

We took the 9:30 AM gondola up to Base 8. Picked up our tickets that we previously purchased online at Will Call and walked over to the Gold Runner Coaster by 9:50. We rode twice by 10:20 and then took the chairlift up for the Alpine Slide. Finished all three Pioneer Pass activities by 10:45am. You can pay the difference to upgrade to an all day pass, if you'd like. Getting there early meant we didn't wait on any lines. read more

This is another summer activity when coming up the free gondola to Peak 7. There are a few kid activities, and Putt Putt Golf, as the area is always under construction. See restaurants, have drinks, peruse a few shops, use restrooms and do the kid activities. We come here after a few days of hiking to relax. The FUN on the slope is the hike down through the forest and marsh. It's a moderate hike for anyone but the littlest as there are tree roots and rocks. A few areas are steep, but short. You may see a moose! Ask where the trail is. The trailhead is by a sandy parking area behind the parking garage to the left of the gondola as you travel up on it. Ok, this place is crazy expensive, so as long as you're ok with that, read on. My kids wanted to try the Alpine Slide and the Gold Coaster. We weren't sure if we should buy one ride for $45 per person, or get the 3-pack. We went a couple of times in the afternoon and there was impending rain. The ticket seller told me we would lose our tickets if they had to shut down for weather (which generally comes in the afternoon), so we decided to come first thing the next morning for better chances of no rain. We were first in line and got our tickets and went to the alpine slide. My sons 8 and 11 thought the slide was lame because they couldn't reach far enough to push the lever forward to go fast and they slowed a lot of people down behind them. Because I had to ride with my daughter who is under the height limit, I was able to push the lever but it was challenging. The alpine slide was underwhelming. We then went to the Gold Coaster and it was AMAZINGLY FUN! We all loved it and rode it twice. Every person we saw had a smile on their face at the end of the ride. We all wished we would have used all three passes on this ride. We don't do any of the other attractions because they didn't seem worthy of using one of our three passes. If you buy the unlimited pass, I could see doing the other items to pass the time and get your $$'s worth. One tip: the ticket seller said if we did a 1 or 3 ride pass and wanted to come back and upgrade to a higher package we could just pay the difference between what we had already paid and the other package amount we wanted to upgrade to. I liked that that was an option. Going in the morning mid-week really helped avoid long lines. I also think it helped that it was mid-August and many kids are already back in school. read more

Don't bother with the mini golf. Its miserable. Unmaintained, overpriced, no features, rude staff. Unbelievably bad.

The coaster is cool but it is soo over priced and their rain check policy is not as great as other mountains. The worst part is the way they bring people down the mountain when lightning shuts down the lift. It is absolutely absurd. Other mountains send their regular ski buses that fit a decent amount of people to the top to get everyone down promptly. This place sends SUV's and Vans...Winter Park is soo much better, half the price and better organized. Copper is a similar price but better vibe. read more

They give rain checks if entire park is closed for more than 60 minutes. So lighting strikes 25 miles away and they close all lifts except one ride so they don't have to close the whole park. We came here in September because we were looking for something to do that everyone could participate in and that the kid would enjoy. It's not easy to please a teenager! We decided to do this because there seemed to be a lot we could do for the day. First off, this place is not cheap so we leaned toward getting the best value for the money which is still expensive at 100 bucks each. Word to the wise, check the forecast before you come because there are NO refunds and if there is a lightning strike anywhere within 20 miles, they close everything. Our day started out okay. We rode the different coasters down the mountain. One you control yourself and the other is on a track. On each of these, you control the speed yourself so you can go as fast or as slow as you want. We all had fun doing these. We had paid a little extra to do the zip lining so we decided to do this next. We were all excited to do this. We got our instructions, got our gear and rode the ski lift up to the top... where we were told there was a lightning strike ten miles away and they were closing down. Ok, so now what? They said we could wait around for awhile but they had to wait half an hour before the last strike before they could open again. After about 10 minutes, another lightning strike so the clock started over. We waited for someone to pick us up but eventually decided to hike back down the mountain on out own two feet. I won't bore you with the rest of the day but basically we rode the coasters a couple more times and that was it because of lightning the rest of the day. So yeah this was a waste of money. Even on a sunny day, there is not a whole lot to do so I don't think I can recommend this as it isn't good value for the money. read more

Well, let's just say there was nothing Epic about Epic Discovery. We bought the Adventure pass which was quite pricey. It's actually cheaper to buy a pass for Elitch Gardens in Denver and much, much, more to do and 100 times more fun. The lines were very long. You are looking at 45 min-to an hour to do the alpine slide or gold coaster. If there is even a hint of rain, they shut things down. They don't wait for lightening....Right now, only those two items are open for teenagers and adults. The other activities are closed and they do not discount the ticket due to that. The other zip line, tubing, trampoline bungee jumping are for little kids or kids under 80- 100 lbs. The gemstone panning is not panning at all and you are only allowed to do it once with your pass. So once you've done the slide, coaster, and the gemstone panning you are pretty much done unless you have small children. It's important to note that the little kids wait in lines that take just as long and I saw so many kids just going nuts because it took so long. It later started to rain around 2:00 and they shut down the gondola, rushed everyone onto buses that were so packed that people were falling on top of sitting people as they tried to hold on to the above rails and although you wore masks, it wouldn't have helped due to how tightly the buses were packed. Save your money and go elsewhere. We made the best of it because we were already up there and had paid for the passes but we won't be back. read more

Drink and food prices were in line with the coaster. My suggestion is just take the gondola up, walk around and call it a day. Because I'm not that much of a skier (in fact I've been skiing only once in my life - when I was 8 years old!) so this review is strictly for SUMMER FUN PARK which my friends and I visited recently this past weekend. As much as I love the town of Breckenridge, I was very underwhelmed and actually annoyed with this park and their staff. Why? Here goes: 1. We bought tickets at the main office near the parking lot to take the gondola's up to the park. You can either purchase a day pass for a whopping $76 or buy activities a la carte. If you plan to do more than one activity, it starts to add up fast, hence the reason we purchased the day pass. Online, the park states that military members are able to get a day pass for $50 -which we were excited for as 3 of our people had military id's. Figuring we would have them purchase the tickets to receive the discount, we had them approach the window - only to be defensively yelled at saying that we couldn't do that, and that it was only for ACTIVE military members. We were all a little peeved in having to spend the entire $76 for the day - but figured it might be worth it. 2. The rude lady at the ticket window put a bad taste in my mouth of the park right away :( 3. The alpine slide is pretty cool....however, be super careful on it. my friends and I got sliding a little too fast and hit the turns hard enough to throw us off our carts. Let's just say the view is great, but not so much fun when you slide on fiberglass, get wicked burns and have to visit the medic! boo! Visit the coaster - that was my a favorite of mine....mainly because I was strapped in. ha! All in all - I think I'd rethink doing this. This is the summer hangout! The gondola ride up to peak 8 is free. If you would like to bring up your bike on the gondola there is a charge. I personally have only done the biking activity. If you choose to take your bike up to the top of the mountain and switchback down there is a charge for the ski lift to carry your bike. Even if you are not going to do any of the activities it is still a great spot to see all the mountain peaks. There are restaurants. Just grabbing a cool drink and sitting outside watching the people is entertaining. read more

Woah! Talk about a day of fun!! I can't believe we've been coming here for years, but have never explored the mountain summer activities. I'm so glad we finally did! And it was made extra special to do it with our family and little ones. We bought the unlimited day pass (ask for a military discount!). More than anyone, my father-in-law and I myself got our fill of the coaster - definitely our favorite ride! I liked it more than the alpine slide because your seat is actually attached to the ride instead of being a sled that could potentially come off (I guess I'm a worrier :P). This thing can go pretty darn fast! But you've got a set of brakes to slow down whenever you want. So customizable and perfect! This is my kind of coast!! Not to the mention the beautiful view all around you the whole time. Kids - different rides have different requirements. Some you have to be 30 pounds, some 30 inches, others 35 inches or 38 inches. My almost three year old is big enough for all. He tried the coaster with my husband and said it made him dizzy (I'm sure my husband took it pretty fast lol). But he loved the alpine slide - enough to ride it twice! For the slide, the break is between your legs. He wanted to hold onto this because it totally made him feel like he was in charge. Little did he know, I was definitely the one controlling it. My son also really enjoyed paying for gold, mini golf and the bounce house. We came here back in September. There are not many places I would truly call a scam, but I think this may fit the bill. This is an adventure park that I think operates when it is not ski season. From the start, I didn't think this place looked like it had much to do for the money. But, my little sister really wanted to come here. We paid $90 per person for the unlimited pass, plus we added $10 on to our ticket to do the zip-lining. Let me just put in to perspective how ridiculous $100 per person is for a place like this (that doesn't even have much to do really), $100 a ticket is about the price of a day at Disney World. We started the day doing the alpine slide and the coaster. Both were a little bit fun but nothing amazing. Next, we decided to use our ziplining passes. We took the lifts up to the top, but once we got up there we were told lighting had struck within a 15 mile radius, so we had to go back down. Whenever they have a lightning strike within that radius, they will close the attraction until it's been at least a half hour without a lightning strike. At the time, I assumed this was just a safety issue and didn't realize this would be the common theme moving forward for the day. They said we could wait for a bus to come pick us up and bring us down from the start of the zipline, but we didn't feel like waiting so we just walked down ourselves. We hung around this place for awhile with nothing to do. There really is not many attractions, the only thing open were a couple attractions meant for young children, like a moon bounce. We decided to do a maze, which was pretty babyish. As we were in the maze, surprise surprise "lightning has struck within a 15 mile radius". To make matters worse, we wanted to find our own way out since this was one of the only attractions we got to do at $100 per person. But, the employee working rushed us out of the maze and was shouting directions at us. You can tell the young employees just LOVE when attractions close, they all get to just hang around with eachother and goof off. Not long after this, they announced they were temporarily shutting the park down due to it actually raining at this point. We were not able to get any refund besides the $10 add on for the zipline. Epic Discovery give no refunds rain or shine, which would be understandable if they actually operated rain or shine, but they don't, they shut everything down at the drop of a hat. At this point, it was the early afternoon and we had already spent so much money on this place and wasted our day. We decided to get some lunch and check back after to see if it opened back up. We checked out the cafe, but the prices of mediocre food were absolutely ridiculous. I'm talking the price you would expect to spend on food at an NFL game. We decided to go into town and eat lunch at a restaurant instead. After we were done our lunch, we checked and Epic Discovery . I really was already over this place, but figured we should try and get our money's a bit. We decided to take the ski lift up to do the ropes course. We got up to the ropes course. The employees said that although there were no longer weather concerns, we could not do the ropes course until it was fully dry. The employees did not give us any idea of when this would be, but that it could take hours. So check that off as an another activity we couldn't do. Since we were already up there, we decided to do the rock wall since it was in the same area. We went over to the rock wall and got all geared up and were about to start. Then, again, the worker is talking on his radio and says they have to close the rock wall because there was a lightning strike "within a 15 mile radius" even though the weather there was perfectly fine. I am going to guess that being in the mountains, they can probably always find a lightning strike within a 15 mile radius and use that as an excuse to close everything. We waited for the bus to take us down and at this point we finally left the park. I cannot stress enough how much of a waste of money this place was. Not only was it a waste of money, it was a waste of a day of vacation that we could have actually done something fun. I think the only good the came out of going here is that I can write a review and warn others, just don't even think about coming to this place. read more

I was riding the lift last winter when I spotted the sleds for the Gold Coast coaster and the alpine slides, I instantly thought, "Alpine slides! I'll be back for those!" Sure enough I gathered a group of six to head up to the mountains and ring in my twenty-ninth birthday. Now I loved the gondola ride up the mountain, but in the hot summer sun it was a bit toasty in the enclosed box; even though the vent windows were open. Once we made it to the base of Peak 8 we were basically smack dab in the middle of the fun park. The layout was nice. Much like when you come in the winter for skiing, everything converges at one point. We headed straight for the alpine slides! I must say that they are quite a bit longer than the slides at Heritage Square and you can definitely get going quicker. There are two that run side by side and one that has a few different turns. A word of caution to the adult riders out there: be cautious if you've had a couple beers or if you tend to lean or get into things. My friends and I decided that we wanted to race and, of the three of us, I was the only one not going to first aid for fiberglass burns when we reached the bottom. We also took two back to back turns on the Gold Coast coaster. I do think that this ride could have been longer, you spend more time getting pulled up to the top versus actual cruising down. These carts are neat in that they, like the alpine slide sleds, permit you to control your own speed, but they are also held to the track just in case. The Fun Park also features a makeshift rock wall, miniature golf, gem panning, a scenic lift ride, and a few other things. I must say that I would come back, but I don't know if there is enough adult activities to merit paying for a day pass again. Especially at $76 (ouch)!! I would consider just buying a couple of the the attractions a la carte instead. Also, after my friends injured themselves I had a difficult time finding the first aid area, which seems odd since it should be easy to find. read more

Just took my four kids (aged 12, 10, 8, 6) to Breck's Epic Discovery and they LOVED it. Lots of variety, something for everyone, and they all slept great that night after a long day of action. Here are some comments that I would've appreciated reading before buying tickets, so I hope they help you: Tips: - Weekday is better than weekend. We went on a Monday in mid-August and crowds were minimal; the kids never waited more than about 10 minutes in any line. - Ride popular activities (alpine slide, rock climbing, zip line) early or late to avoid lines. - Buy a four-pack of tickets for the buy-three-get-one-free deal--available online ONLY. I would've given it 5 stars if not for these reservations: - Too expensive! If it was cheaper we would've gone a second day, but tickets and food were priced at professional-sporting-event levels. It's almost cost-prohibitive for large families. - Roller coaster was closed. We got a 15-percent discount, but kids were looking forward to it. - Chairlift to top closed due to lightning in area, forcing us to take a van down. Need more notice about that possibility since afternoon storms are common. (But kids did get a kick out of the ride down tbh.) That said, all in all it was a positive experience that I would recommend, so 4 stars seems about right. Enjoy yourself! read more

Wanted to write a more favorable review, but... Stupidly overpriced. And if I'm saying this, well...then it's really overpriced. Kids are $77 each for 'unlimited' rides but some attractions are limited to one time, so it's not really unlimited (gold panning, for example). Kids under 54" can't ride the gold coaster alone so adults are required to pay $22 per ride to accompany the child. Kids (8 and 10) were bored after 1x on about 40% of attractions. A 20oz soda bottle is $5.50. $25 for bbq lunch which is a meat and 2 sides. It was good bbq, though...but two adults sharing a lunch and one sandwich for the kiddo = $50. Rides seemed safe; lines are reasonable. The gold coaster isn't that great, though. It slows you down too often. The coaster at Glenwood is waaaaay cooler, faster and longer. They do have a raincheck policy if the adventure park is closed longer than 75 minutes. read more

We visited twice to this Epic Discover park at Breckenridge and thought we got a good value for the ticket prices. Here's some tips to ensure that you're getting your money's worth: 1. Visit their website and think about exactly which rides each person will take. Spectators can ride the BreckConnect gondola to the park's base (from the parking lot) for free. Most people would be happy with the Adventure Pass for $68 instead of the unlimited pass. One ride on the alpine coaster and alpine slide is plenty. If you only have 1 ride on the Alpineer ropes course, make sure that you don't need to break to eat, use the bathroom, or anything else. The ropes course is super fun and you can easily spend 90 minutes on your 1 turn as long as you don't choose to leave. 2. Check CAREFULLY with the ticket seller that desired rides are open and what rides each person qualifies for. Many rides have height, weight, or shoes requirements. For example, the excellent Alpineer ropes course is open only weekends during many parts of the year, has strict weight limits, and requires shoes or sneakers (no sandals of any kind). 3. The $40 Scout ticket was perfect for myself and my 9 year old son on a day when the ropes course was closed. We had 5 hours of fun using only this cheapest ticket. 4. The Alpine Coaster here is only worth taking once. It's the worst alpine coaster of the 3 in the area that we tried (here, Vail, Glenwood Springs). There's too much auto-braking that makes it too tame even for a kid. 5. Be very careful with double riders on the Alpine Slide. 2 years ago we got hurt because the staff didn't explain the correct positioning for double-riding the slide and we crashed. So did the 2 families behind us. This is the least safe ride in the park and causes the most injuries - ask any staff member. 6. Get there early because clouds always come in during the afternoon and make it cold or cause the park to shut down due to lightning. 7. Come on a weekday or in late August/September after local kids have already returned to school. Absolutely no lines over Labor Day weekend! I'm subtracting a star because the staff here is mediocre compared to the excellent staff at the (more expensive) Vail Epic Discovery. Whereas the staff in Vail were friendly and went out of their way to help us, the Breckenridge staff was at times moody, unfriendly, and didn't seem to want to be there. read more

Save your dollars for Disney Land or Worlds of Fun. Stick with normal Colorado activities in Colorado and avoid their attempt at an adventure park. Go for a hike, go rafting, rent a kayak...don't waste your money here. We paid for the unlimited ticket for our 5 year old ($82) but we still had to buy two parent tickets at $68 each so she could ride the two best rides since she's not tall enough to do them solo. My husband and I literally went on two rides each for $136. There's only 15 or so attractions...2 actual "rides" with the others being interactive (putt putt golf, zip line, rope course, rock wall, etc). Bounce house plastic was too hot in July to be used anyway. Majority of the staff (there were a handful of "good" ones) seemed like they were all ski bums annoyed with us even being there...on their phones, chatting among each other. They should be treating customers like kings and queens for how much a family pays to be there. Paid $5 plus tax for a Gatorade, $5 for dippin dots, and $6 per beer plus tip. Ugh. Positives: -no line longer than 10 minutes and we were there peak times (1:30-5:30) -free gondola ride to the the park, but it closed before the park closed and we had to shuttle back down the mountain, and there's no signage at the bottom of the mountain indicating the "entrance" to the park is via gondola...Google Maps will try to take you up the mountain read more

Paid $238 for a family of four and did not get to ride any of the attractions (zip line, alpine slope) and played 3 holes of putt putt. The rain check communication when we bought the tickets was different when we went to get the actual rain check. Rainstorms on and off from 1:45-now and no one will honor anything. I would recommend avoiding if rain is anywhere in the forecast and the undereducated staff needs to be able to communicate their policies more clearly and effectively. This place sounds super fun on the website-try not to be fooled. I have nothing against it. But our experience was definitely not fun. When we got there, everything was open, except for the roller coaster, which is not open on weekdays. They don't mention this in the website. So we rode the lift up. It was about a 20 minute ride. When we got there, we found out that everything on the mountain was closed thanks to lighting in a 30 mile radius. So no ropes course or climbing wall. Obviously, they can't control the weather- I just wish the website had been posting this kind of information. Then we had to ride down, and of course everything on that end of the lift was closed too. So no bungee trampoline! Since we had done absolutely nothing, we went to ask for a refund. The activity park has some fun activities...the two slides are awesome, and the maze and adventure area are decent. The issue is the price...$99 for a full access pass. This makes Disneyland look like a steal! And lunch for four people at the only restaurant on the mountain was $86 for a hot dog, two hamburgers, a cheesesteak, and two sodas. If there is an antitrust lawyer that wants to file suit against this company for price gouging I'll be happy to be a lead plaintiff! All-in-all just very overpriced. read more

You know, I was hoping for a little more...but it was still fun. I have 5 daughters...7 y/o, triplets that are 20 and a 22 y/o. So, in reality, we went up for the little one. The older girls were "bored". Didn't want to do the roller coaster or alpine slide. My little wanted to only do the kid zip line and tube slide. Myself, I would have been happy taking the ski lift up to the top and down, but for $20 a person, that adds up. We stayed and let the little play a bit and then hiked up one of the trails. It was really pretty and had some fun items hidden in the trees for the skiers during the winter. Next day, one of my older daughters and I went to the top of Peak 8 just to people watch and get some sun. If you are staying in Breck, just take the free gondola ride up and take a hike up the mountain!!! Save some money and enjoy yourself!!! There are so many beautiful trails around Breck that you don't have to drive to. read more

While we have been going to the fun park for years, this year was our last. The park was ridiculously overcrowded to the extent my kids who were there from the opening park time until closing time, could not even do each of the activities once. My mom stood in line with my daughter for the quad jump. After 20 minutes of waiting and timing how long the line was, she calculated it would be at least another 80 minutes for my daughter to get to the front. Completely ridiculous to have to wait more than an hour and a half. They should limit the tickets being sold somewhat so the kids can actually participate in the activities. read more

I definitely have mixed feelings about the summer fun park. The cost for my husband and I both to go here for the day was $150 together for unlimited passes- which is close to the cost of a day at Six Flags or Disneyworld with a lot less items for adults to participate in throughout the day. Overall, I would say for this to be worth the money they would need to add a few things for adults to participate in during the day. The alpine slide is long and quite fun, and the golden coaster was amazing (we took several rides). We also enjoyed the scenic chairlift ride and a short walk around at the top. Overall, I am glad that we went for the day- but I won't be back. It was just too expensive for what was available. (For children, there were a lot more activities to do- might be worth it for a family). read more

This is nothing but lines in the heat. 30-90 min wait per event. Kids breaking down everywhere. Low staffing levels. They don't seem to even be trying to move these people through. This is the most expensive and most disappointing thing we did in all of Colorado. read more

Paid $77.00 pp and spent the entire day here with a group of nine. Rode the Gold Rush Coaster and Alpine Slide numerous times and the smaller children enjoyed zip lining, rock climbing and the obstacle course. The price of food at Ski Hill is insanely expensive. They wanted $4 for a butter biscuit with a little bit of cheese melted on it. No thanks. Gondola ride to Peak 8 is free. All in all, a very pleasant day. I would bring your own drinks and food. We picked up some sandwiches at Subway on Main Street and transported them to the fun park. read more

This adventure park is yet another example of Vail Resorts Inc jacking up prices for families​ seeking some alternative entertainment. $198 for a lift ticket. $88 for three rides on the Alpine slide. Don't be surprised​ if you​ drop a few hundred dollars or more for a family of four. read more

We opted for the single ticket alpine slide ride and we were very disappointed. It was over-priced and the guy sending riders down didn't give enough time between riders and so my son and I were stuck behind the SLOWEST riders and then there were not one, but two sliders behind us. For $27 a slide it seems there should be a lane for cautious riders and one for folks who don't ride the break all the way down. read more

Fun summer diversions including 4-5 hour zip line canopy tours, alpine bobsled rides, rock-climbing, a roller coaster through the mountains and more that is fun for all ages. The highlight for this trip was a 90 minute Jeep tour and small hikes with Jason. He told us interesting historical tidbits as well as engaging facts about the local flora and fauna. He stressed the importance of conservation without being preachy. Jason also went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable and included. He is such an incredibly nice and friendly guy with great recommendations about additional activities and restaurants in the area. He loves his home and it shows in everything he does. We truly appreciated our time with Jason and would recommend him to anyone wanting to participate in local activities. He's also a mountain bike and ski instructor. We only had brief interactions with a couple of other guides, and they seemed fun and friendly as well. Epic Discovery is well-executed because of their great staff. We had a wonderful time. read more
