Had some of the worst customer service when I took my new setup in to get mounted. Tech treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about and was just generally rude. When I got them back, skis had small chips on the top sheet as well as a small divit on the base. Not that big of a deal performance wise but you'd think a shop would take better care of their customers equipment. Very disappointed. Next time I'm just going to wait to take them to edgeworks instead. read more

I was shocked today as the store was empty and when I went to ask a question, the four stoned employees looked stunned when I asked for help. They all look at each other like, wow- a customer. It got worse! We went to actually buy a few boards, ready to drop $2,000 to $3,000. The sales rep made my wife feel dumb when she asked a basic question. He was clearly only someone that thinks everyone rides like he does. When I then asked for them to tune an extra board, they all actually said as they pointed to the empty tune shop "yay- those dudes are really busy and backed up. It will take a few days" while nobody was actually working. They were all just talking to each other. Then the manager did a sub par job of trying to help. We actually rented a board. The stoned kid set up the board wrong. Had zero interaction with my daughter and then charged us. $54 for a board only rental. Never offered us boots, a helmet either. We decided to never buy anything from this store again. We are taking our purchases to BC Surf & Sport in Park Meadows. They seem to be a true store that shows service every time we shop. Vail please take note- the attitude in the store is horrible and frankly you just lost us as a customer. read more

I purchased ski boots last fall. Staff was very pushy and insisted that the exceptionally tight boot fit they recommended is what the "experts" teach them. I bought the boots on the assumption that the boots would "pack out" and fit fine. I skiied on them 5 times and my toes were so tight, I developed a toe corn that required surgery. The surgeon indicated that a tight pair of shoes/boots could easily cause this if they were tight enough. Even when I went back to trade them for larger size, the saleperson told me how wrong I was. Rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I tried finding the address online of the president of Col Ski & Golf -- unavailable. I have the name of the salespeople involved if management were to indicate an interest. read more

I had an issue with a jacket I bought from Ski and Golf when visiting family there in Colorado over Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I live in Oregon, so it wasn't easy for me to walk into the store to return the jacket. I was able to work with Ski and Golf to get this jacket returned and get a new one sent. The customer service was top-notch and because of this, they have once again won me over as a customer. I try and make it into Ski and Golf every time I am back in Colorado. I have been a loyal customer since the good old days and will continue to support them when possible. read more

Took my girlfriend in to get a pair of snowboarding boots. We talked with a sales rep for a while and decided on the Burton Sapphire. She told him she was an 8, but he asked her to try 7.5 first. She tried them on and said they were uncomfortably tight. He asked her to walk around the store a bit, which she did. After a while, she told him they were still tighter than she would like and asked if maybe she should try a size 8 - the size she actually wore. He insisted on the 7.5 and wouldn't go get an 8. He said the boots would pack out significantly and she would be fine. They say you can use them 5 times and still return them, they don't tell you that it must be within 5 days of purchasing the item. Needless to say, the boots never 'packed out' enough to fit, CO ski and golf won't take them back, so the new boots are being sold dirt cheap on ebay. I walked around browsing items while she was in the boots - everything is really expensive, even the Trex sales aren't good unless you're an xsmall male or a xxlg female. If you know how to use the internet, do your shopping there, there are dozens of online retailers with return policies that blow Ski & Golf's out of the water. I advise staying away, it's overprices and the salesmen don't know shit. read more

Bought a golf bag and the strap broke after I carried it for one round. I brought it back to the store and I felt like I was the culprit who broke the bag strap until I showed them the receipt, that I just bought the bag. THey ordered me another bag to replace the bag I brought in and the new one was heavier than the one I bought. I pointed out the specs on the bag I had that broke, that it would 3.5 pounds and the bag they were going to give to me was heavier. I told them I needed a lighter bag because of my bad back, and the manager told me that they company did not make lighter bags. I showed them two web sites that I downloaded that displayed the light way bags made by the same company, and I was told those sites were not honestly representing the bag. On and on. So I asked for my money back and they would not return my money. Instead they gave me a credit to buy other merchandise and it was done with no apology, that I was wasting the manager's time, despite the fact no one else was in the store. No way will I go back there. I have the bag credit to a friend and went on with my life. Used to like the store, but not with the current manager. read more

We are in the CS&G kids' trade-in program. The service is horrific. It seems like we have NEVER had a year where the morons in the ski shop (Hampden store) didn't screw something up. Two years in a row they have given us our skis without adjusting them to fit to boots. Last year they gave us skis that had not been waxed or tuned, so we had to have it done up in Breckenridge. This year they set up our 9-year old for her new skis...and we disovered once we were up in the mountains that the bindings were not adjusted to her boots once again -- but even worse, one of the bindings was actually LOOSE ON THE SKI! For the average idiot Texan who wants to rent crap skis and doesn't need decent service, CS&G might suffice. And I must give them credit for their prices on gear and clothing...maybe about 5% lower than other stores. But I will NEVER use their ski shop again. They are universally sloppy, inexperienced, poorly trained, and don't give a crap about decent customer service. One of these days, they are going to cause someone to get seriously hurt because of a poor binding setting or adjustment.... read more

Very impressed with the ski product selection and customer service at this location. We went to REI first to find ski gear for our 3 year old and they had only a couple junior helmets that didn't fit right for our daughter. Someone recommended us to give Colorado Ski & Golf a try and I'm so glad we went. The store was well organized and had awesome display of products. Within a couple minutes, we were greeted by a salesperson, Scott Zabilla, and he helped us fit our daughter for a ski helmet, goggles, face protector, used skis/bindings, and boots. He was very knowledgeable with the products and was able to find the perfect fit within one or two tries. He was also very good with my shy 3 year old and made this experience fun for her. He wasn't pushy with products but was able to find us what we needed for her first ski season. We love the used gear exchange program and will be utilizing it as our child outgrows her setup. We also took a look at the golf section and there were some good deals going on. We'll definitely be returning back here for our ski & golf needs. read more

I went to get boots. Waited 55 minutes. There were four guys helping customers with one person before me so thought the wait wouldn't be too bad. Then one of the sales guys left after he was done with his customer and never returned. Then a second did the same thing. Now we were down to two sales people but I was next. Kept waiting and waiting only to find out that there is a little sign that says that is not noticeable at all that says you are supposed to sign up for your turn. When I confirmed that with one of the two sales guys left -- a guy who I was next to during the entire 55 minute wait -- he tersely replied yes and that was it -- no apology even though he knew I had been there that long, no expression of regret, no acknowledgment at all that I must be frustrated. Really disappointing. My guess is once you get one of their people, they are probably quite good. They have been in the past and I have shopped there for years. Not sure I am ever going back though. read more

I went to Colorado Ski & Golf in Aurora with my husband recently and bought new skis, bindings and poles. The reason for our purchase - my skis and poles were stolen in Keystone the weekend before :(. Nevertheless, the sales person who helped us was extremely helpful and overall it was a good/fun experience. The cashier accidentally overcharged us by $25 for mounting the bindings, so naturally we were just going to ask for the refund when we picked up my skis. Long story short, my husband was traveling and had the receipt as well as my claim ticket, so I called and asked if I could pick up my skis and get refunded the $25 even though I didn't have the claim ticket, receipt or credit card. The person on the phone was extremely friendly and said "Of course you can! Not a problem at all." I picked up my skis a few days ago and was asked to go to the cashier to have the $25 refunded...and this is where my experience went sour. I explained the situation and gave the cashier the receipt (store copy) and she asked me who approved the refund. My response - "Oh, I don't know; I didn't look at his name tag". She rolled her eyes and asked for the credit card. I said "ma'am, I don't have the card; I was told that wouldn't be a problem." Her response - "Well you don't even know who helped you and now you don't even have the card." More eye rolling occurred on her end and I literally couldn't believe how rude she was to me - I was offended and didn't need the vulgarity from her after spending around $800 at their store. I didn't ask for my skis to be stolen and I certainly didn't need a rude employee to ruin this experience. She should not be in customer service and I should have asked to speak with a manager... read more

I don't often write reviews of retailers, but Colorado Ski & Golf has exceeded my expectations for two straight years, and most recently through outstanding customer service. Generally speaking, they have knowledgeable staff and good prices. Specific incidents that have earned my confidence were: Last year, I went in needing new skis and thinking I might need new boots. Rather than trying to push me to both, the tech went over the fit of my boots and thought they were fine for another season, and then helped me select a less than top priced ski. I left very pleased and spent far less than expected. This year we got a ski package for both our kids (for the 2nd season - great trade in program). We went out skiing on day one and one of the pairs was not the right match, he needed something more aggressive. We went back and I expected an argument to try to get a decent credit on them for a replacement pair. All I said was the skis weren't right for him (too wobbly at his speed) and without a next sentence they said they'd take them back for full credit and helped him pick out a well-priced adult pair, and put the bindings on while we waited, apologizing for getting the first pair wrong. They also let us apply a coupon we got in the mail after the fact. Bottom line is, it's very apparent that they intend to make their money not on one visit but over time from repeat business, by creating loyal customers, and they definitely have with us. read more

This place has some good deals sometimes but not worth the hassle. Not only does it take forever for there staff to even look at you but their customer service sucks. After spending a 1000 dollars there the brand new 560 dollar board I bought started cracking after two days of use. They offered to send it in to the company which would take several weeks after I have already spent 100's on a ski pass. I was very disappointed that they would not stand behind the products that they sell. I was told by a manager if it was a Burton he could trade it right out. Amazing how they don't tell you that when your buying it. I would have bought a Burton knowing that if anything went wrong I could take it to the place I bought it and return it. Its a good thing that Burton stands behind their products that they sell because Colorado Ski & Golf sure doesn't. Take the time and go somewhere else to get some good customer service. read more

on 12/14 we bought our son skis at the Aurora store (left them there so they could attach his bindings from his old skis). At that time, the person that assisted us in our purchase specifically said our son could pick them up today, 12/19, as long as he had the claim check. My son went to pick up his new skis, with the claim check, in his name, and the store refused to let him bring his skis home. Apparently, only an adult 18 or older can leave the store with purchased skis (my son is 17). What? If only adults can pick up skis, why did they put the claim check in his name? So, if a 16 or 17 yr old goes to the store alone and buys skis (and leaves them there to pick up later so they can attach bindings, as in this scenario) with his own money, I assume he can buy the skis but can't take them home. Hmmm, he can ski on them, but can't walk out of the store with them after they're paid in full. read more

I have been shopping at this location for years and the customer service has always been great. But WOW, the service we received on Monday March 7, 2016 was some of the best we have ever experienced. I came out to Colorado to ski with my friend. I left my ski boots at home, so I had to rent a pair this past weekend. I've had my old boots since 2007, so I decided that maybe it's time for a new pair. Zac, the employee who helped us, was incredibly knowledgeable. He measured my feet, and the first pair of boots he brought out, just as a gauge for fit, were perfect. I tried on several more but ended up purchasing the first pair. He knew exactly what I needed and went above and beyond to make sure I got the perfect boots. He also spent time heating my boots and custom fitting them to my feet. He also helped my friend, but the boots he brought out for her had too much flex. He told us that he didn't have the boots in stock that she needed and told her what he would recommend. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for ski gear. They are very knowledgeable and really know their product. I found my boots online at a cheaper price and they matched it. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I have never been so pissed off in my life. It sucks when one person of the staff has to ruin it for the whole store. I came in to return a pair of bindings that didn't fit my board for an exchange for another pair and was willing to pay more for a better fit. They sent me back to the guy in charge of that to help me find them. Fine ok. Found him and I never met a more RUDE human being. He wouldn't let me look around and was in my face about buying only the new season bindings that were expensive and over rated. I tried going over to the clearance area and he quickly yelled that they were all Men's in which they were not. I felt so UNCOMFORTABLE I called my sister in to see if he'd be nicer. Didn't work. Besides ROLLING HIS EYES AND SIGHING OUT LOUD I had enough. The rest of the staff took great care of me though. Accomodating and Friendly hence the 3 stars and not 1 or 5 because that JERK ruined it. I took my business elsewhere in hopes to NEVER DEAL WITH HIM AGAIN. read more
