I met a friend at Epic Nails today and we had a delightful experience. The location is convenient and everyone was so friendly. Great color selection, nice massage chairs, and plenty of TVs with closed captioning. $45 for a regular mani/pedi was a steal!

Epic experience at Epic Nails! They were quick and did a great job w/my pedicure and fill. I was actually taken care of by two of the sweetest ladies while in the pedi chair. They did a great job and I plan to bring a friend on my next visit!

The service was very good and the lady doing my nails was very gentle and she did a very good job!

Michael chose this perfect color for me!

Excellent experience. Michael made my very shabby, poorly done gels look beautiful! Spa is clean! Pedicure was lovely. Only thing I'd ask is that they remove the plastic dividers and put new tape on if they're keeping them because they are kind of icky around the tape, which I'm sure happens. Nowhere near my nails so not a big issue healthwise since everything else is very clean. I'll will definitely call to make my next appt!

Super satisfied with Epic Nails! This is the Kiara Sky powered dip.

I've recently been searching for a new nail tech. For the past 6 months or so, I've been using the SNS powder dip but the salon I was going to started to go downhill service wise and I was ready for something different. Epic uses Kiara Sky powder dip so I had to completely take my old set off but it was definitely worth it. Vicki took her time but made sure my nails looked perfect. This salon is very clean and has comfy chairs (always a plus!). Nice amount of staff and plenty of stations so it would be great a girls trip. Price is very comparable and they have a pretty sweet VIP rewards program...for $12/yr you get discounts off each visit. If you're looking for a great nail shop, try them out! I found my new shop! *update* I've updated this to FIVE STARS. I've been going consistently and love the staff and service. My nails always look great!

Great nail salon!!! Got a gel manicure and the manicurist did an amazing job. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like and she matched it perfectly. Highly recommend!

Bummed, this place has lost its consistency.. The last few times I was there it's been a let down. Seems like a lack of training. I went in for a full set, I kept telling the lady that I wanted them shorter, after the third time of filing she told me "You can't go shorter with the almond shape.." I responded "sure you can I do it all the time." I requested nail art for the holiday she said "no, do snow flakes they are prettier." I got the feeling she couldn't do the candy canes.. so I agreed.. wow, my 12 year old can paint better snowflakes.. just sayin.. My nails are multiple lengths and sizes, width and thickness.. I'll have to get them fixed before the holiday..

In armrest remote. Very clean and easy to figure out.

New nail salon with the allure and fanciness to get people in the door and to keep coming back. I'm a big gel manicure person and the selection here was quite vast. I didn't have a hard time selecting which color to go with. It was so so clean. Something I always love about nail salons. A quick in and out lunch time manicure was perfect.

Smudged thumb. I didn't say anything because I wanted to GET OUT.

I went in early on a Saturday morning and was greeted by an incredibly rude man. As someone who is new to nails I accidentally asked for the wrong thing but caught on to it before the man began anything so I asked him if I could show him what I wanted and he told me to never do it again and made me feel humiliated. I didn't get what I wanted because he told me he didn't want to see a picture. The man that does nails there is rude, doesn't pay attention to the people he does nails for because he is busy picking up calls and is unwelcoming. I ended up paying $50 for a with a smudged thumb, infilled acrylics & an anxiety attack. 0/5. If you want bad customer service, ugly nails & anxiety I recommend going here. The service is horrible.

Located just north of 106th Street on Michigan Road

After trying a half dozen or so nail places in the area, Epic has become my favorite. The salon is clean and atmosphere relaxing. They will take reservations so you don't have to wait long. They offer a variety of basic or spa treatment manicures and pedicures. The basic includes foot and leg massage and hot towel wrap and of course the pedicure. The chairs are massage chairs but that is a standard in all salons now. There is relaxing music playing and tv with subtitles if you want to watch. The manicure also includes massage and hot towel treatment. I have had both normal and gel nails. They guarantee the gel for a week and will repair chips within the first week for no charge. For a mani pedi they take their time so plan for 2 hours and longer for spa treatment. I like to go earlier on a weekday before lots of people come in and they become more rushed. They offer a frequent visit card that knocks a few bucks off the services. I think the price are comparable to other salon or a little less. I guess my only complaint is that they want the tips in cash but will take credit cards for the service so I have to remember to bring cash for the tip. I recommend for girls day out but make reservations so you don't have to wait.

Been going to this location for years, even when it was Grace Nails. Consistently good service, and always accommodating.

For me, Rose-Dore is in the Goldilocks zone for hair cuts. Nan has been my stylist since I started coming here, and she always does a great job! My hair is wavy to curly depending on the humidity level, and can be a disaster if cut wrong (see previous note on giving up on the quick, super-inexpensive chains). She also gives me no grief about waiting way too long at times to come in for a cut, and also no grief about not coloring away the gray. I'm too lazy/low maintenance to deal with roots...so figure it is better to just stay natural...(see previous note about stuffy higher-priced salons). The atmosphere is really relaxed and prices are very reasonable. Same week appointments are typically available. Rose-Dore is a great northwest side option for a relaxed, no-nonsense, but high-quality hair cut!

UPDATE: This Review Got Me Banned from Rose-Dore. You Can…read moreStill See The Note behind The Receptionist's Desk which says "Do Not Make Appointments for Jon F_____." Now they don't permit any stylists to cut my hair, lol. Very immature business practice-- 1. Provide unsatisfactory service, 2. Ban any customer that leave a negative review 3. Do not, under any circumstances, contact unsatisfied customers after giving them the "Trump" haircut. Do not ask them about their experiences, or how to improve. At Rose Dore, we rush the customer out because we've got more hair to cut! Just to clarify the above policy at Rose Dore, what I'm saying is that Rose Dore's business practice is below average. In the past several years, I have written 2 other negative reviews, and those companies left a concerned comment under my review about my experience. The above post-it is obviously in response to this negative review I wrote, because that note went up right after I published this review (and not right after my latest haircut)... -- My first experience was great. Nikki Young was great. 5 stars all the way! I continued seeing Nikki until she moved. She no longer works there, and my next experience was great as well. Emily. 5 stars again! I was told that Emily (I think) is the one who cuts men's hair, and she did a perfect job. That was December 9th, 2014. Then I went in and set up an appointment again in March. This time, I was told that they ALL cut men's hair. So Stephanie ended up cutting my hair. She'd been working there 35 years. Got in my car. Looked at it in the mirror. It looked awful. I felt so embarrassed I couldn't even go into Starbucks. It looked like a rushed drill sergeant cut my hair. I have photos of this haircut in case anyone believes I'm making this up. In fact maybe I'll post them in this review. There was a section above one ear that was clipped very short and looked like the clippers were used there and then stopped. I drove back and showed her the section. I said that she can just cut it all short if necessary. She said "That won't be necessary," and she cut both sides short, blended it better, then gave me a mirror. It was now short on the sides and long on top and in the back. I suggested she cut the back shorter to match the length of the sides. I already felt sick going in to tell her it had to be fixed, but I did pay her and also tipped her 20%, so felt I deserved to have a decent haircut. After the "fix," I just wanted to leave, because Stephanie said, "Okay, now it looks better." without asking for any confirmation. I felt like I was being picky, but it wasn't getting fixed and I didn't know how to tell her that it looked TERRIBLE. In the end I gave up and left, deciding that I'll pay someone else to try to fix it. When I got home I took another look. One sideburn was an inch lower than the other sideburn. I fixed that. Easy. Though it is telling how someone could miss that. Maybe she's great at cutting women's hair--maybe she just doesn't know how to cut men's hair. My friend Meredith said that maybe her eyes aren't very good. Maybe she forgot her glasses or contacts the day she cut my hair. I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm just trying to explain this. All I know is it looks ridiculous and I have photos. I can't understand how a person can cut hair for 35 years and not take one last look at the overall haircut and notice a chunk that's cut shorter than the rest of the hair, or looking straight on, notice that one sideburn is so much different from the other (the hair was not only lower, but longer... one sideburn was taken care of, and the other was not). Also if you glance at any part of it, it has a long tuft here and there peeking out from the surrounding short hair. In addition to that, she asked me if I ever used "product" in my hair. I stated that Nikki Young (who used to cut my hair) had used Aveda Pure-formance for men, and I loved that product so much I bought it myself, but aside from that, I hate product and very rarely use any product at all. Despite my saying this, Stephanie used American Crew Fiber (which I hate...it's like putting glue in your hair). I'd advise against getting your hair cut there if you're a guy, unless you can get Emily. Be sure you tell them Emily (or Stephanie... maybe it's Stephanie. Either Stephanie is the horrible one and Emily is the great one, or Emily is the horrible one and Stephanie is the great one. Now I don't remember). The owners of Rose Dore do not care to find out about my experience. I'm just a customer. I'd rather have Donald Trump's hair than the messed up disaster she gave me at Rose Dore. What's telling is that after posting this review, not only did no one reach out to me to correct their error or inquire about my experience, but also a glowing review popped up 7 days after my review was posted. That review was written by Michellene, the daughter of the owner of Rose Dore...
