I'm a total sucker for loft vibes and bright spaces. It is definitely one of the most spacious salons I've been to. Like nearly all other nail salons, this one suffers from inconsistent techs (as you can see from all the 1 and 5 star reviews)! I highly recommend getting an appointment AND picking a tech from a 5 star review. Playing nail tech roulette is never fun. Sophia was recommended to me by a friend and she did a fantastic gel mani with nail art for me. I was blown away! I showed her a picture and she matched it perfectly. She color matched the base color to my skin tone and did repairs on a few nails. Kelly did my sea salt pedicure and it was a 5 star experience. I definitely got my moneys worth with the leg massage, sea salt exfoliation, and callous removal. I came in with pretty bad looking feet and left with summer ready (lol it's January) feet! read more

The salon advertises walk-in availability, but on a Thursday morning, my sister and I were told that it would be a three hour wait for a walk in appointment for two full sets. We decided to go elsewhere because we didn't want to spend an additional three hours of my birthday in a nail shop just waiting to get our nails done. Fast forward to three weeks later, we made appointments in advance for a fill in and a polish change. We arrived at our appointment time, they took my sister back to begin her nails. They told me that they were looking for somebody to do my nails. There was another girl that walked in behind me that was a walk in appointment - I had a scheduled appointment and she had walked in, but they took her over me and did a polish change for her and a pedicure. But somehow they didn't have time for my polish change, even though I made an appointment. Christine was the technician that did my sister's nails and she was able to fix the nail shape that was screwed up by the previous nail shop and get her polish changed before her cruise to the Bahamas. Her technician, Christine, was very nice and she did a great job. We brought in my nephew with us who is a year and a half, and she was very polite and playful with my nephew. She offered me a seat next to my sister since it was empty, but there was another lady that told me I had to move, that I couldn't sit there since I wasn't getting my nails done. I stood awkwardly behind my sister for a while, then decided to take my nephew outside to play with a bouncy ball that I had in my bag. Cost for my sister's nails was $55 and it took about 45 minutes and she just got a plain white gel coat done they did not carry foil for designs. Even though the shop as a whole was rather unprofessional, I still gave my sister's technician a 28% tip because she was nice and she was able to fix the botched shape of my sisters nails from when we got our full sets done on my birthday. I've been going to the little nail shop for 2 years and it's amazing! They offer a large variety of different services and it's SO clean and well kept. I've tried a few different nail techs; however, Carmen is by far my favorite and I continue to make appointments with her. She works quickly, does a fantastic job and is so sweet. The salon overall is large and I've never had to wait very long. There's tons of nail and pedicure stations. One additional benefit is they allow large parties and let you bring it food and drinks! I'm a little hesitant when it comes to trying new nail shops because so much can go wrong but Little Nail Shop was a dream. I got off work at 5 and just went to the first shop that came up in my google maps hoping for a little bit of relaxation. The shop was beautiful shop was beautiful, clean, and spacious. There were quite a few customers and clients there at the time but it was in no way loud or cramped. I would definitely recommend reserving this place for a girls night or bridal party. Heather did my pedicure and she was very friendly and thorough. It's been almost a week and it looks just as good as it did on the first day. I don't remember the name of who did my acrylics (mina maybe?) because I was so beyond exhausted at that point. She was super super nice and willing to try what I asked of her. I will admit that I've been spoiled by my normal nail tech because she can do any design/shape you ask for under the sun and the design I got was not at the same level. All of my jewels on one hand already came off and the gel top coat has cracked. On the other hand it looks like enough of the top coat wasn't put on so there's nothing on the tip of the nail. Would not go here ever again! My pedicure wad literally 20 minutes. $40 for 20 minutes. I can get an hour long pedicure in Geist for $40. The chairs are horrible, they don't pull up and the vibration is so weak you can't tell they are on. We had a really great experience here! I took my daughter, who is just shy of four years old. They were so good with her! Angie was her nail tech, and she did a great job of talking to the kid, rather than ignore her and talk to me. She was very patient as my toddler rapid-fired questions at her - what's this brush for, what's this thing for, what are you putting on my nails? It is beautiful inside. Super girly, lots of chandeliers and everything decorated in pink and white. It is bright and cheery, tons of magazines, tons of nail polish choices, and very clean and tidy. A couple things I wish were different. The oversize chairs they use are really cute, but for small people like me and my daughter, they are just too big. The manicure was pretty uncomfortable for me because they had my kiddo sit in my lap. Between her being tiny and me being small, I had to perch on the edge of the chair for her to be able to reach the table. I wish they had at least a couple smaller chairs available. Some other reviews have said the price was too expensive. $15 does seem a bit much for a child's manicure when all they do is soak, massage, trim, and paint. But Angie was so patient and my kid was so toddler-ish, the manicure took nearly 25 minutes, so the price is pretty fair when you factor in the time taken. I get my nails dipped regularly, but can't stand the "hump" left at the nail bed when I go to many salons in the area. Billy and Sophia at The Little Nail Shop are outstanding at minimizing the hump. Unfortunately, every time I schedule online, there seems to be an issue with my booking. It's as if they don't know I'm coming. Luckily, the staff is always professional and kind, but I am questioned about my appointment more than once, each time and I'm not pulled to a station on time. Despite having appointments for both myself and my daughter, my daughter was treated like a walk-in (or worse). The first woman started her by rushing her to choose nail colors and essentially grabbing colors for her. Then, the nail stylist had a regular customer come in and kept trying to get someone else to take over for her, mid-pedicure ("can someone finish this pedicure for me" "can someone take over" multiple times). My daughter's entire pedicure was rushed, and as a result, when I looked at her nails once we got home, two were completely messed up and we had to go back the next day for a repair. Another stylist did my daughter's manicure. She was quiet, but took her time. However, I was in a different area getting my manicure done and no one told my daughter what to do or me that she was done or when she could move. Eventually, I asked my own stylist when she would be done sitting alone in her chair and if she could come over by us. My daughter was patient, stayed still, and was such a great listener, but no one seemed to want to treat her like she belonged there. My stylist did a good job and took her time, but three of my nails were chipped within a day, despite not doing anything especially tough--just typical daily tasks. TLDR--don't offer a "princess" mani and pedi if you won't treat them like the adults and give them proper care. If you don't think the kids notice, they do, because my daughter asked "mom, why do only grownups get one person the whole time?" read more

For my pedicure, I felt like the stylist was a little rushed and would leave me and attend to others during my pedicure. I feel like a couple interruptions is totally understandable, but this seemed a little excessive. Once my pedicure was done, she left and started working with someone else even though I booked both services. Made an appointment, drove 40mins just for the shop, ended up with nail shapes Hellen Keller would laugh at. There are also large clumps of dip under most nails that I can't scrape out. This place is near my office, and I didn't have time to stop by my normal salon, so I made an appointment for my lunch break to swap my polish color. I had a manicure less than 2 weeks ago, so my cuticles were certainly not out of control, but the tech cut them back until they bled. My color is dull and has bubbles, and they scraped my nail bed down thin. Not to mention the shape is awful- uneven, misshapen, and not even completely rounded. I will not be back. My mom and I decided to stop in to get our nails done while in town for a conference. We went there just because it was the closest. I had read some mixed reviews but we decided to give it a shot anyway. My mom got a manicure and I got a (gel) manicure and (regular) pedicure. My mom seemed happy with her service. I was thrilled with mine! Ky did both my mani and pedi and he was great. He made bad jokeS the whole time (like, "dad" jokes), which I thought was charming and funny. He did say he could stop any time if u wanted, but I encouraged him haha. He was very careful and really took his time with both the mani and pedi, including an awesome calf/food rub. I'm super happy with my nails, I think they look great! And the place was nice and clean with a very pleasant atmosphere. Everyone seemed happy to be there (techs and customers both). Great decor and impression of service, but terrible. Went in for a walk-in mani/pedi with my sister on a Tuesday. We were informed it was no issue (an hour and a half before close). There were 5 techs, 2 of which were with clients. We were seated at the pedicure spots and my sister's tech got right to work. Mine took a minute because she was finishing something (no big. I'm pretty laid-back). My feet were soaking for about 5 minutes, again, not an issue. One woman came over and was friendly and started doing her thing with my pedi. Suddenly, two clients walk in, apparently with an appointment, but were 20 minutes late. Apparently that was why they took my sister and i; if you're late, your appointment is considered cancelled. The women were immediately seated and had their fingers soaking. My tech left, one foot scraped, and started working with them. There were two other techs at the back, just standing and taking. She had to walk to them and instruct one to come tend to the other appointment clients, then verbally argued with the other to come finish what she had started with my pedicure. She finally came over and started my pedicure. She didn't like my choice in color, trimmed my cuticles until they bled (just one), and didn't talk or acknowledge my existence at all except to instruct me to do something. I got a basic manicure, clear coat (I'm boring). My sister was finished with both gel manicure and pedicure by the time she even stared on my cuticles. My fingernails, which are naturally nice, were cut almost to the quick and filed square...not what I asked for. Three of my cuticles were cut to bleeding, and all of my others were stinging. I asked her to leave them, and she did...all uneven and raw. She roughly filed/buffed the surfaces of my nails to the point I pulled my hands away. All this time, she sighed and grabbed at my hands, trying to finish. She would speak to other techs not in English, and would gesture in my direction. She didn't put on the clear coat when she got up and rudely walked away. My fingers were left scuffed and rubbed raw. No lotion or massage. It was so bad my boyfriend noticed how bad my nails were and was upset after I told him about the experience. My sister was flabbergasted, I was pissed off. It's been a week and a half, and I'm still upset with my experience. We were there for 2 hours (we left 20 minutes after closing). My sister had a positive experience, though her toes and gel nail polish didn't match at all because the lighting is institutional Or dim depending on where you are in the shop. If you ever have a middle aged woman with a brown bob, glasses, and a plaid button-down...run away. She's rude and will ruin your nails. Oh, did I mention she tried to use trimmers CAKED with previously trimmed cuticles?! I asked er to clean them...twice. Never had such service before, and my best friend worked in one.
