I have been to Lovely Nails a couple times now. Each time it was easy to call and ask for an appointment or if they had anything available that day. Each time I was able to get a pedicure on my lunch break, which is always beneficial to me, since they are efficient. The service was great and I loved how my toes were done. The leg and foot massage is my favorite part and I wish I could take the massage chairs with me. I have been a consistent customer of lovely nails for 2 years now. It is conveniently located and plenty of parking options in the shared lot. Lovely nails techs are all knowledgeable in dip, gel, acrylic vs. overlay, pedicures, etc. they also have a plethora of color options for their services. Cleanliness and pricing are both outstanding as well. The reason I give them a 4 out of 5 is because they still are unable to get a hold of how to properly take/make appointments. No wait around 3pm on a weekday so that was nice! Experience was just fine. Price was nice (I think $35 for basic pedicure) however one of my toenails chipped the next day, which was annoying and I thought about going back to have it fixed but got busy and now it's been a week and almost every single nail has chipped now and my toes look terrible and I'm just going to have to get it redone somewhere else. I work around the corner and decided to try for convenience, it was by far the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. I came in before needing to get my children and only had an hour for a fill In that usually takes 30-45min. All my nails were uneven I was bleeding and it burned. I had to go and said I would be back since the manager was unavailable. I went in twice before anyone could talk to me. When I came back the next time the "owner" was so rude and snatching my hands blaming me for my experience, it was unbelievable. I would not recommend this place at all. I'll make sure to pass the word along Replying to your response; actually I had a very Nice nail job done before I went to your shop. The nail tech hurt my fingernails and cut me numerous tImes. ALSO he put glue underneath my nails instead of following proper protocol. I carry a license as well in this I industry. So if you think I came in and the nail tech had to fix a poor nail job no I came in for a fill in and if he wasn't ready or confident in my nail length then he should of asked me to wait. NOW; YOU AS IN OWNER MANAGER, yes offered to fix and I did sit down to have you RUDELY fix you snatched my hand and treated me horribly!! YOU were the problem. YOU were rude. My experience at lovely nails was awful. I didn't realize even how bad it was until I went to a couple other salons. I had dip with acrylic tip. Within 4 days, half the dip coating fell off of one nail. I went back to get it touched up. After spending 3 hours at the salon to get it redone (multiple mishaps), my nails looked really bad. Would not recommend. It was a while ago - around June 21 and definitely Lovely Nails on 106th and Michigan. I'm attaching 2 photos of the broken dip. A young lady did it the first time and a gentleman the second time. The young lady was on her phone while doing my nails. The gentleman said it broke because it was too little layering. He did a lot of layers but that made it look unnatural. He tried to fix the one nail and a couple others, but didn't correctly color match. So, he had to redo all nails and then wasn't careful. Super disappointed. This was my go to place when I first moved to Carmel about a year and a half ago. I've been going somewhere else since December because my daughter was not satisfied with the last dip manicure she had at Lovely last fall when home from school. I thought I'd give them another try and now I will not be back. I went in for a pedicure and a dip manicure. Pedicure was very fast and lacked attention to detail. He didn't even soak my hands and remove cuticles for the manicure and it seemed like he wasn't sure what he was doing. He used the UV light for the top coat which I'm pretty sure is not normal. Already have a small chip in one nail, and needless to say my cuticles still need work. I'm really disappointed. No longer my go to. read more

The worst pedicure I have EVER had . They ended up looking good but the process was awful. The guy I had wouldn't even acknowledge that I existed. when I asked him not to use the cheese grater on my nails he seemed irritated. He hurt me through the whole thing. used two different drills on them. too lazy to file and buff i guess. It was terrible my husband sat in the chair next to me and would probably give a five star because he had a completely different experience. I tried to speak to him and he just didnt respond at all. My husbands girl did a nice job and she was sweet and i could tell she knew what was going on in my chair. read more

They fixed my broken nail which was a surprise to me because I had thought I was going to have to cut it. I really love the decor and the ambiance here. I love coming to Lovely Nails and have nothing but good things to say! They sometimes get very busy and it's better to make an appointment if you're going during peak times (weekends, etc). I normally get a gel mani and it always looks perfect. I have only ever had one incident recently where my nail chipped within a few days. I called the salon, went in, and they fixed it quickly free of charge, and made sure all my other nails were good to go as well - even adding an extra layer of gel coating to them all to make sure the issue doesn't happen again. My first time here. She cut me moving too fast- very much a rush job. She then used the glue to seal the cut so no acrylic powder would get inside. I had to ask about that and she said it was normal protocol and is just like liquid bandaid. I'm not sure of the facts in this statement. Lyn was amazing ...this is my first time here and I received a full set of acrylic nails if you do acrylic nails you know how hard it is to find a place that does them well lyn did an amazing job and their prices are really reasonable for a full set almond-shaped (most places charge extra for this shape) gel polish and she offered me the first time $5 yelp discount so it was $35+tip ....I was in and out within 30 minutes... however I will recommend to make an appointment because they do seem to have the regulars there and not that much staff at least on the day that I went mind you it was a Tuesday around 5 p.m.... I'm so happy I found this spot after having so many bad experiences at different salons recently this has been a breath of fresh air.. *****update***** so I have gone back there several times and every time I've had Lynn do my nails and I have been pleased, however just yesterday I went there and they seem to have hired some more staff and Lynn was busy with someone else so I got someone new, before she started to do my nails she started telling me how much it would cost .... mind you everytime I go there I get the same service but her cost was a little higher than what I normally pay and one of my biggest pet peeves of a nail shop is inconsistency in pricing so I told her every time I come here I pay X why are you charging me differently and then she asked me who do I get my nails done with when I come there and I told her Lynn so her response was I don't know Lynn is the owner so maybe she gives you a discount and then she called Lynn over there so then she started talking directly to Lynn in Vietnamese and Lynn said this is what she charges I'm sorry and I said I guess I don't understand don't you guys have set prices and she said well each technician gets paid on commission and that's what she wants to charge.. but for today we can do it at the price that you normally do it at and if I do your nails I can do it at that price but going forward you would have to pay this new price if you use her.... I responded I'm sorry I'm not looking for a discount and I'm not looking for pity or any favors I just like to go into a nail shop and pay the same price for the same service every time ... I would pay more to a nail shop for consistency... I also told her I stopped going to my other nail shop for the same reason.... she just said I'm sorry each nail technician because they get paid on commission they can charge whatever they want... I told her okay that's fine it's not fair for the customers to have to deal with different prices because the technician wants to get more Commission on the customers expense Lynn was very polite but really didn't know what else to say...so I got up and left and went to another nail shop that I loved!! however it's too bad they lost me as a customer ... the funny part is I found out that girl actually left nail lounge to work for lovely nails...nail lounge was the nail shop I used to go to and stopped going there because their inconsistency in prices. I decided to get my nails done, and after a bunch of other salons had a long wait time I decided to try Lovely Nails. I was getting a full set with gel. At first, I was pretty impressed because he made sure he put all my nails on straight, and he actually cut them the perfect length(I like them short). I have huge bubbles in my polish and the polish itself is painted on very carelessly. I already want to go get them repainted somewhere else and I just got them done today. read more

I've been going to this shop for over 10 years and there is no other shop like it. Many times you go to a shop and the owner does quality work but the others aren't so great. At Lovely Nails, each one of them does outstanding, quality work! Lynn and Sue are always busy so it's a good idea to try to schedule in addition advance. My first time to this salon. Although my toes look nice, the experience was less that relaxing. The man who did my pedi was so rough! He was digging under my nails with his "instruments" and his own nails also were poking me. The foot and leg massage was incredibly hard- almost to the point of painful and when I asked him to go lighter... he didn't. If you like a heavy hand you might like it there. I went to lovely nails this evening. i used to attend this salon and decided to go in for acrylics again. i was sad to see that my nails were incredibly rushed and done sloppily. i showed up an hour and a half before closing to ensure that i would leave enough time for the employees although only one was left when i was getting my acrylic manicure. i was told, for the first time in all the times i've gone here that the nail shape i desired would cost me $5 more than the $30 manicure. i was a little shocked as this had never happened before but went along. after the artificial nails were done she applied the regular polish and it was given little time to dry and resulted in the ruining of my polish moments after i walked out of the salon. i unfortunately will have to find a new salon after this experience. only good thing was that the owners dogs made an appearance at the beginning of my appointment. read more

I went to do my nails again (after a while not going) at Lovely Nails this year to start the spring on a high note. There is no waiting and very good service. Yet, it is very strange to hear them converse from one end to the other and laugh as you just requested or commented your desire to have this or that done with your nails. I am very sure that they speak about their customers among themselves in their own language. This is not ok to have a group discussion and have laughter at the expense of others. I too speak another language and I am very respectful of others when I am around people who do not speak Spanish. Before leaving, I let one of their manicurist know it was very uncomfortable for me and another customer (other lady next to me also made a face of disapproval) to know they all joke about their customers in their native language. She did not negate any of what I had said. Most people don't say anything because they are not bold enough or let it go because they are not sure. This practice is rude. I will consider going to another place and not feel awkward while I am there. Every time I have gone to this place it seems as if I have to not draw attention to myself or any of my desires because they will make some comment about what you just said and laugh among themselves. Politeness is key in a business. read more
